"Chomp Bristol is hands down the best restaurant I've visited during my two-day stay in Bristol (aside from my meals at Wetherspoon, of course!). This steakhouse is conveniently located near St. Nicholas Market—just climb the steps, and it will be right in front of you. The atmosphere is cozy, with most tables designed for two, along with some round tables for larger groups. However, I wouldn’t recommend drinking at the bar. They have a convenient 2-in-1 food and drink card with plenty of choices. The staff is friendly and attentive, offering valuable assistance in selecting steak and drink pairings. I opted for the 8oz ribeye steak cooked medium rare, accompanied by fries and a side of spinach and mushrooms. I also tried their homemade brauhand beer, which was wonderfully refreshing with a hint of citrus. The steak was the juiciest and most tender I’ve had in a while, with a fantastic texture that melted in my mouth. The spinach and mushroom sauce was exceptional; I highly recommend adding it to your steak. Later in the evening, I decided to try the chocolate and banana cake, and it was an excellent choice. The cake had the perfect texture—not too dense—and it didn’t feel overly sweet, which was great. Overall, it was a fantastic meal. My only minor disappointment was that the beer was listed as a 3/4 pint on the menu, and due to a momentary lapse in concentration, I ended up ordering a full pint, causing my total bill to exceed my budget."
