"This was our second visit to the white horse, the food this time wasnt as good this time tbh. Our table was not ready for us on arrival so we had to wait in the bar. One of the waiters came to pour more wine for us and got more on the table than in the glasses. I do really like this venue and as our anniversary it was a special day for us just a tad let down this time unfortunately."

"Having had a very nice stay at the white horse when after paying the bill which seemed very expensive when viewing the bill when we got home we found a £67 restaurant charge which we can't explain and when calculating our meal which should have been £113 we were charged £144 could be service charge added had 1 bottle of wine with meal£40 but also was £27 restaurant charges have no idea what this was for would recommend it but watch your bill very complicated to figure out and alot of hidden extras"

"Amazing view which made for a pleasant visit. Staff were super friendly and efficient. Sadly food was disappointing. I had the chicken liver parfait which was really good apart from the bread could have done with more toasting as it all felt one texture. Then I had the lamb which was delicious but Luke warm and the gravy had made the carrot puree too runny. My friend had the beef roast but had the same issues. Plates were cold and so was her gravy so she had to send it back. I followed it up with a panacotta which had great flavour but was the wrong texture and the rhubarb was so tough I couldn't cut it. It was a shame because it was small things that spoilt our visit even though it was tastey."

"We were a little disappointed at first we were seated and left for minutes by the waiting staff. The maitre was quite flustered by this and the waitress was upset that we might be unhappy. We felt sad for the pressure the waitress seemed to be under and we did not make a fuss. The food was delicious though"

"The Crab and Winkle Resturant were no longer there as they burned down a month before. Very sad for them, but we had to phone around to find a booking somewhere else, as we were not reported."
