Here's a breakdown of my experience at this pub: Atmosphere and Seating: The pub boasts a pleasant ambiance, especially with its good outdoor seating options. The area surrounding the pub is peaceful, creating a relaxed environment for enjoying a drink or a meal. It's an ideal spot if you're looking for a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Staff: The bar staff were friendly and welcoming, which added to the positive atmosphere. They provided attentive service and were knowledgeable about the drink options available. Their warm demeanor contributed to a pleasant experience overall. Drink Prices: I found the drink prices at The Crooked Billet to be reasonable and in line with my expectations for a pub in the area. It's always reassuring when the prices match the quality and atmosphere of the establishment. Food: Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to try the food during my visit, but based on my positive experience with the other aspects of the pub, I'm inclined to return and give it a try in the future. "We arrived for our reservation and, at first glance, it seemed to live up to the hype—this was the highlight of the evening. After waiting about three minutes at the entry, Callie beckoned us over from the bar in a rather erratic manner. The interaction was confusing and awkward; we felt like we were constantly trying to navigate the experience. While she prepared our cocktails, we noticed the drink was poorly made: the lemonade was flat, and the cocktail tasted overly sweet and undrinkable. Our waiter suggested we drink it quickly to be polite. We settled into the lounge, still excited about the evening and the amazing food everyone had raved about. However, we were greeted with the odd soundtrack of "Top 10 Breakup Songs." When it was finally time to take our seats, we had to insist that we had a reservation. It felt strange to be questioned about our booking after already confirming it at the bar. I requested a drink change, explaining that my cocktail was overly diluted, flat, and too sweet for my liking. I asked for a Negroni, but five minutes later, I was told they couldn’t make one because they didn’t have the ingredients. Understandable, given that it was off-menu, but I opted for a Tom Collins instead. Unfortunately, it also arrived flat and poorly mixed, this time with an excessive amount of gin. After waiting for an hour for someone to take our food order, we decided to change our minds and asked for the bill for our drinks, which never came. Frustrated, we eventually left. This experience completely ruined our night. We reached out privately to share our concerns, but they haven’t responded, which shows they clearly don’t care. So, I’m sharing my review publicly instead."

"Stunning Hotel in the absolute best location in Nottingham City Centre George Reception at Lace Market Hotel Nottingham is the main reason for my 2 day stay this past weekend being a super positive experience for me as a hotel guest. Cons: The room, my room was exceptionally warm/stuffy. I am severely disabled (STBI) so I become very easily overheated anyway so when Room 36 was like Sauna Mojave Desert had a baby, I suffered. George brought to my room a bucket of ice which was incredibly thoughtful and even fixed my early 80 's air conditioner unit which cooled the room down to around room temperature in the end. Stairs only around the hotel and like everywhere you go so leaves any Guest feeling Olympics-ready just getting to their room. No door in the hotel has any way of opening them 'cleanly/hygienically aware/germless ' with each handle needing to be pulled more forcibly before the door becomes ajar. A disabled button to press to automatically open the heavy doors would be miles better than what Lace Market Hotel Nottingham currently offers. TV is lower quality picture and sound. Programmes are very few and not becoming of a 4 star hotel. The bathroom suite is lovely, but I felt like I needed an Engineering Degree to figure out the Taps. x3 of them with absolutely no clear instructions labelled on any. So you cannot run a bath without the shower head also dripping. Summary: Lace Market Hotel Nottingham is a 3 star hotel in a fantastic location in Nottingham. I paid £207 for two-nights which comparatively to other hotels throughout the world I have guested in, was notably more expensive. I was safe, felt safe and it was clean in the hotel and my room. George at Front Desk was the highlight for me."
