"Around 20 of us met up at the 1805 Chinese restaurant for a school reunion dinner. As there were so many of the head waiter suggested we had a selection of starters and main courses, which was a very good idea. Doing it this way worked out at £55 a head, which was very good value for the amount of food that was presented. For starters there was a selection of Spring rolls, Chicken pieces, Seaweed, Prawns on toast, Spare ribs etc. All were very tasty. Then an intermediate course was crispy duck, with plum sauce, pancakes and sliced vegetables. There was plenty of duck, but sadly not enough plum sauce and sliced vegetables to go around. Main course was massive 2 types of beef in nice sauces, thin crispy chilli chicken and prawns, with what looked like fried rice. Most of our party drank beer and a few shared some red wine. Overall, a very enjoyable evening. Good service and good food."
