"We had biryani with lamb on the bone and my partner had manchurian veggie balls and veggie noodles. The biryani came in a fairly big bowl but the lamb on the bone portion was only just adequate. The lamb was tender and tasted very nice. The rice was just okay Fairly nice flavours but overrall a very dry dish and I didn't like the cloves in the rice. It was expensive for what it was! My partner enjoyed the manchurian veggie balls but said they were very spicy. She did NOT enjoy the veggie noodles as she said they were bland. I tried the noodles too and I could've done a better cooking job at home and I'm not a good cook!!!!! Most of the veggie noodles were left on the plate!! The waiter did NOT help us with our menu choices which is POOR customer service! To sum up, the food was average and expensive for what you got We may be tempted to return if there is a special offer in TWO years time!!!!! "This was our first visit to this restaurant which is about 5 minutes walk from Chatham Station. There is a varied menu and plenty of vegetarian, fish and meat options. We had difficulty in making our choices, but the waitress made recommendations. The food was delicious and the portions were generous and it was excellent value. "Many moons back, my Indian wife and I were havering about buying a house on the Cambridge hill, waked down for a meal at what was then Cocum, subsequently Nivedyam and now Pakka and the quality of the meal led us to set up home nearby! I should explain that I am a Professor of English Literature and Religious Studies, and my wife, one of my first research students in Cambridge, comes from a centuries old Brahmin family of Hindu saints and scholarly pundits. Hence, when we have visitors from our Indian family or academic guests from the world over to entertain, it is vital to take them to a restaurant that represents the best of Indian (and, in particular,of Kerala cuisine. So we keep a close eye and a sensitive tongue on any change to our much prized Cocum and I am delighted to report that two visits now to the smart re vamped restaurant, now PAKKA, have convinced us that the upgrade is stylish (though the image of Shiva is without his flute! , the food as good as ever (I am told the kitchen staff are the same and the student waitresses who are from Kerala, quite as charming as the food and decor. "I've eaten here a few times with my partner and always been blown away by the food, so for my birthday this year I thought I'd arrange a meal with some friends to share the deliciousness with loved ones. Big mistake. The restaurant clearly don't want to cater for large parties (there were 12 adults and 4 kids in our group . We booked an early table at 5pm to make this easier for the restaurant and free up the space for evening diners. From the moment of our arrival we were treated with utter contempt, bits of our order never turned up, drinks took ages to arrive. When it came to leaving, we were told we had underpaid by £25 but previously the waitress had said we had completely covered before I'd even paid my portion so the £25 I paid for my meal was essential the tip (way more than 10% . The hostile manager wouldn't let us leave and insisted we pay the missing money plus a tip. After we left we checked all our receipts (though most of us paid in cash , added them up and saw we had indeed been swindled. I am genuinely devastated because I have loved eating here until this point, but I won't be going back because of the way we were treated. If you are a solo diner or couple then please do visit because the food is absolutely out of this world, but if you are a large party please avoid the awful experience I was unfortunate to have at the hands of such a grumpy man completely devoid of human kindness (who really shouldn't be front of house ."

"fantastic restaurant, we strolled along the mile and thought to try ziya asian grill and can honestly say we ate the most lively, delicious foods that we ate in a very long time, the restaurant was busy, very fast and I can see why. the staff was so friendly and welcoming and the open kitchen looked immaculate, with a chef who gave us a hearty wave and a smile. we will return definately, do not skip starter when they were the stars of the show"

"We were in Bristol for the weekend a group of six of us went to Namaste Nepal. The service was incredible and all the dishes were really tasty. The vegetarian thali was extremely good value and we could not believe the amount of food that came with this! "I’m not someone who writes reviews or goes to restaurants for writing review But, I have to write this one. I went there with my friends to have a nice biryani with my friends to my surprise there’s zero hospitality. The egg biryani was like a tawa fried rice, with no taste, no salt served cold, chicken biryani had smelly chicken (which my friend ordered) I can write pages about the entire experience but to cut short Mr Mohan was very rude arrogant and was in a fighting mood, kept talking about how he is fed up with other customers and saying that “I’m here only to complain and to get my money back” no one even should ever use these words for a customer. For me it wasn’t about the money or getting something for free, it was about the experience and evening with my friends, which Mr Mohan spoiled with his attitude and words. He wasn’t apologetic about anything. I paid the entire bill and left the food because its the Worst restaurant I ever visited. Do not visit if you don’t want to be infuriated and ill treated by Mr. Mohan. Editing my review after the response from spicy Hyderabad This is my genuine experience at your restaurant and how I was treated for sharing my experience. There was ZERO hospitality, Mr. Mohan’s behaviour is totally unacceptable, I’m not sure if Mr Mohan is responding to the review and saying unfair. If someone’s shares their negative experience at your restaurant doesn’t mean it’s unfair to you, my entire evening was spoiled because of Mr Mohan’s behaviour, he wasn’t willing to listen and rather blaming me and saying demaning things to me like “Im here to complain, to get something for free etc. sarcastically saying what’s your problem etc etc the list goes on”. I left your place with my friends without finishing the food and paying in full even though Mr. Mohan said he has discounted the price of 1 Briyani after saying all the demeaning stuff, but I insisted and paid the money in full, how do you even expect someone with pride and honour to be treated like this. Do you expect me to keep my mouth shut and not talk about my experience??? Please focus on thinking how customers should be treated and customer services can be improved. Thanks"

"1) Came here the other day because I heard by word of mouth that the food here tastes amazing. I brought my son with me and I'm mentioning this iefor a very specific reason, one which I'll get to later. Firstly, the food was as amazing as it was said to be. "We held our Mehndi night here in May 2024. We used the set menu option which I think turned out to be good value for money. The food was excellent and everyone enjoyed it and was satisfied. Can't thank the staff enough for their constant attention on the day. They made everything extra easy and smooth for us and no request was too much. A special thank you has to go manager Ameeta. She is so helpful and was only ever a call away in the run up to our booking. She was really flexible with how we used the space too which we were very thankful for. A special place for us now and can't wait for our next meal there. I just wish we had taken pics of the food next time! Thank you to all staff that were there on the night."
