"The food is good, when it is fresh. I go there for an occasional Dosa and Vada. On a number of occasions they have served stale chutneys and dosa filling. Yesterday, the dosa arrived within a minute of ordering and it was cold to touch. I asked them to replace it. The replacement was warm but not crisp. I ordered Vada for takeaway. Since they were busy and taking time to bring the check, I opened the package and decided to eat it. The chutneys were clearly a few days old. The excuse they gave was that they get packed in the morning (not). They then brought the fresh chutneys. I was not delighted paying £22. It’s a hit and miss. I would say insist on bringing fresh food if you find it stale or cold. There is no other accessible place for Dosa, so when I am craving it, I’m forced to go there and hope it will be fresh."

The masala dosa, samosa chaat, and masala tea at this restaurant are fantastic! We recently had them cater our 160-person music event and received excellent food reviews. This restaurant comes highly recommended.

I loved the food at Mirchi! It’s a lot more creative and varied than most Indian restaurants I have been to and incredibly tasty. The staff are friendly and helpful, plus it’s a nice building. I look forward to going again soon.

To be honest, my experience was awful. The food I ordered was flavorless and overly spicy, ruining the enjoyment of the meal. I ended up having to discard it. The overall quality of the dishes was extremely disappointing, and I believe it was a total waste of my money. As a frequent patron of Indian cuisine, I have certain expectations for a quality Indian takeaway, and this fell far short.

My companion and I were able to get a table for two as a walk-in on a busy Saturday evening. The service during our meal was top-notch, with attentive staff. The food was exceptional, and the prices for drinks were very reasonable. We will definitely be returning. The samosa chaat and bang bang chicken were both fantastic starters, while the railway lamb curry and lamb handi biryani were delicious main courses.
