"The food is good, when it is fresh. I go there for an occasional Dosa and Vada. On a number of occasions they have served stale chutneys and dosa filling. Yesterday, the dosa arrived within a minute of ordering and it was cold to touch. I asked them to replace it. The replacement was warm but not crisp. I ordered Vada for takeaway. Since they were busy and taking time to bring the check, I opened the package and decided to eat it. The chutneys were clearly a few days old. The excuse they gave was that they get packed in the morning (not). They then brought the fresh chutneys. I was not delighted paying £22. It’s a hit and miss. I would say insist on bringing fresh food if you find it stale or cold. There is no other accessible place for Dosa, so when I am craving it, I’m forced to go there and hope it will be fresh."

On my last trip, Vishal, our waiter was extremely professional and took the time to make us feel welcomed and explained each of the dishes. "the restaurant is very nicely decorated, but eating and service do not fit to this experience. we sat as close to other people on other tables as it was fed with them. we visited pre concert and chose the concert menu. the appetiser came within minutes of ordering, there was not much for the price. the main thing we had to wait for over 45 minutes, which it was not good, and we always said it was on the way. eating when it came, average curry was really. it was obviously boiled in a huge batch as it was on the set menu, so not sure why it took so long. the service was not great. we were never asked if it was in order or if we wanted a drink. we had only koks and that was quite expensive at £3 for a small bottle. Overall I think that the place is very nice, but eating was best on average and the service bad. the set menu was £25 per person who was not worth for what she actually got. we saw a 10% service fee on our bill that we were asked to be removed. it tried, but would not go back."

"We arrived at our reserved time and were seated promptly, but it took the staff 20 minutes to come to our table to take any sort of order (drinks or food)! We were not informed that the restaurant does not accept cards, so it was embarrassing when I had to leave the restaurant to go to the cash machine across the street in order to pay the bill. When the bill finally arrived, we were shocked by the price of a pint of Cobra at £8!!! We have always been satisfied with the service at this restaurant in the past, but this was not our best experience."

"Not the easiest place to find, but an absolute pearl when you do. The inside is very clean, modern in styling and welcoming. From our experience, the service from the start was attentive, friendly and quick, but without being overpowering. The quality of the food was superb delivered in good time, fresh and hot. And above all it was very tasty. The selection of wines is also a plus point. Overall a great experience and we won't hesitate to go back. Highly recommended. Be aware that parking is very limited."

"We stopped by for lunch while exploring the area. At first, I thought the restaurant was closed because it was so quiet, but the manager greeted us warmly. We ordered some Bombay-style snacks to nibble on, and they were quite spicy (I usually avoid spicy foods), but very enjoyable nonetheless. My partner's chicken starter was a bit too salty for our taste (we try to limit salt for health reasons), but the chef came over to chat with us and generously offered to prepare another chicken starter right away. He also adjusted our mains to suit our preferences. The mango lassi was delicious, as was the virgin piña colada. The portion sizes were great too (pictures were taken after we finished eating)."

My Sag paneer was basically just tinned spinach with very little paneer indeed. Same size as the previous side dish but now only available as a main for nearly £9. "A fantastic restaurant, with great food and equally amazing service. I ordered a paneer tikka to start; the portion was quite large for a starter but not too big. It was full of flavour and even had a bit of a kick. The butter chicken was perfect, with the chicken being lovely and moist. Service at the restaurant was fantastic, I asked for a straw and the waiter couldn't find it and then 2 members of staff came and apologized for not being able to find the straws which made me feel like the restaurant really value their customers."

"Food was amazing.Couldnt find any fault with the food.But the wait was ridiculous.for over an hour.One of our dishes was given first and had to wait for the rest of the stuffs again. Even though the staff apologized for it as there were short of staff .But what we noticed was that one of the families who came after was given the food earlier than us.They were given even glasses to drink water while we had to ask for a bottled water finally. I would say the customer service wasn't that great .but may get food from here as takeout."

"I booked a table for 17.45 on Mother’s Day to take my wife for a meal. When we arrived the guy at the end of the counter couldn’t find our booking so he said something about ‘Did you get a text from us?’ which I’ve never had when booking through Opentable. He then said they were full and basically made me feel like I was in the wrong . He was rude, aggressive and arrogant. We have been to Kiplings twice before always booking through Opentable and never had an issue. We won’t be going again. Shambles."
