"We had biryani with lamb on the bone and my partner had manchurian veggie balls and veggie noodles. The biryani came in a fairly big bowl but the lamb on the bone portion was only just adequate. The lamb was tender and tasted very nice. The rice was just okay Fairly nice flavours but overrall a very dry dish and I didn't like the cloves in the rice. It was expensive for what it was! My partner enjoyed the manchurian veggie balls but said they were very spicy. She did NOT enjoy the veggie noodles as she said they were bland. I tried the noodles too and I could've done a better cooking job at home and I'm not a good cook!!!!! Most of the veggie noodles were left on the plate!! The waiter did NOT help us with our menu choices which is POOR customer service! To sum up, the food was average and expensive for what you got We may be tempted to return if there is a special offer in TWO years time!!!!! "Arrived in time. Restaurant was approximately 50% empty. Table was not ready. Asked to take a seat in the bar. Around 12 14 min later were taken to our table for 2. No menu. Few minutes later came food menu. No drinks menu. Requested papad with my drink, took 10 min before serving papad but wanted us to order food. Starter deserved 4 stars but kofta curry was bland and nothing like any Indian cuisine. Ordered pan kulfi was served two dollops of ice cream with grossly over powering pan flavouring added with touch of falooda ingredients. This was an insult to kulfi, priced at £12.50. When asked by staff about food, informed him about our opinion on the kulfi. He agreed that it had excessive pan flavouring and confessed that he had tasted it before it was served. This dish deserved minus 5 rating. The food is nothing like Baluchi at Lalit’s in Delhi and Mumbai. Baluchi London will be not be on our list for future."

"Dropped in for an evening meal with my wife. The restaurant was quiet but the food was delicious. We shared a garlic king prawn starter. The prawns were beautifully cooked and were a good size and the sauce was amazing. We both had a chicken tikka dish, I had south Indian garlic chilli and my wife a milder dish. The chiched was tender and tasty and the accompanying naan bread made for a great meal. Well worth trying this restaurant Service: Dine in"

"Over the past 20 months, I have had the pleasure of purchasing new audio equipment from The Sound Organization. The service and advice provided to me by Matt were excellent. I recently visited their location in York to demo the new speakers, the Donator D7.2, and the Rega Planar 8 turntable. After the demo, I decided to purchase both items as well as Atacama furniture. Once everything arrived, Matt offered to come to my house in Kendal in the Lake District to install the audio equipment. This was a fantastic service that I greatly appreciated. Matt provided recommendations on speaker cables and how to set up the turntable. I will definitely be using The Sound Organization for my audio needs in the future. Thank you."

"We ordered a selection of small plates to share, including the popular chicken tikka and lamb samosas. The flavors were incredible and the portion sizes were just right for a pre-theatre meal. The highlight of the evening was definitely the chicken biryani, which was fragrant and cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed the butter chicken and garlic naan. "we just finished our meal (we had a lie because the portions were generous! and it was incredible! as it is a bank holiday, delivery was fast and contactless, as desired. my man called when I'm free of milk and they were so helpful by being over the ones of my favourite dishes free of milk and finding close alternatives for others. it was without doubt the most tasty and softest beautiful lamb I've ever eaten. would definitely recommend and we will order again. "Overall a terrible experience. Our table of two was joined with another table of four with no space in between, basically cramming as many tables in as they can leaving you with no privacy and practically sitting on each others laps. The menu on their website the opentable menu is not the same as the one given in the restaurant the prices are almost double (dish I ordered was listed as £5.50 but was £9.95 in the restaurant I would not be surprised if they had a second menu with higher prices to scam those without a deal) Food was very average I ordered a side dish and my friend ordered a main dish both were the same size. But my friend was charged the price for a main but the waiter seemed to think despite it being half the size of a main, that it was indeed a main course. We had to ask to have this sorted out on the bill which was fine as they corrected the price, however the rest of the bill did not add up to the total. The waiter didn 't even bother giving us an explanation as to why this was he clearly got irritated that we questioned the bill and demanded that we could only pay with one card for the table I said we wanted to pay separately and was completely dismissed and told 'one card per table only, you 'll have to pay each other back '. Very rude. If you don 't book online, other diners seem to be offered some sort of discounts on the door (we could hear this as we were basically sitting on top of each other with other tables) Would not recommend. Much better options on brick lane with better service."

"We had dinner at this restaurant and I wasn't sure if the reviews I read would meet my expectations. The restaurant is not very fancy, but it's okay. The tarka dal was just right, the paneer makhani was nice and spicy, and the chicken tikka masala was decent. It's a bring your own drink establishment with no corkage charge, as the off-license is next door. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. Overall, it lived up to expectations. If you're craving Indian food in Edinburgh, give it a try."

"The food was mediocre and I didn’t feel like there was anything special about it. Just tasted like a normal curry from any high street takeaway. The seating was so tightly arranged and at times I couldn’t push my chair back to stand because the table behind me had their chairs straight up against my back. Pretty much immediately after we finished eating, we could see the staff eyeing us to leave. And we felt uncomfortable and as if we were imposing even when there was no time limit on the table."
