"We had catering for a family party of 40. The food was delicious and fresh, dosas were lovely and crisp with the right amount of filling. The 2 chefs were really polite and accommodating and all the arrangements were really smooth from start to finish. I would highly recommend Srilalitha and will definitely use them again."

"The food is good, when it is fresh. I go there for an occasional Dosa and Vada. On a number of occasions they have served stale chutneys and dosa filling. Yesterday, the dosa arrived within a minute of ordering and it was cold to touch. I asked them to replace it. The replacement was warm but not crisp. I ordered Vada for takeaway. Since they were busy and taking time to bring the check, I opened the package and decided to eat it. The chutneys were clearly a few days old. The excuse they gave was that they get packed in the morning (not). They then brought the fresh chutneys. I was not delighted paying £22. It’s a hit and miss. I would say insist on bringing fresh food if you find it stale or cold. There is no other accessible place for Dosa, so when I am craving it, I’m forced to go there and hope it will be fresh."

"As someone who has been a cook for many years and a lover of Indian cuisine, I recently visited this restaurant for the first time on my birthday. I must say that I was extremely impressed and even a bit frustrated that I only have one stomach, as the food was truly magical and delicious. The dishes prepared by the chefs were a delight to the taste buds and I was completely enamored with the flavors. Additionally, the restaurant itself was beautifully decorated, clean, and pleasant. "Okay, so this is my first review. Being a student,one always tries to find places that offer good food with reasonable prices. Dosa village is one of them. Their food is delicious, with a special mention to the Gobhi Manchurian and Paneer Devil in the snacks category. Other things I tried here included, Mysore Masala Dosa, Tomato Uthhappam all of which were tasty. The service might be a little slow because they don't have much staff but the food makes up for it. And do try either the Filter coffee or Masala Chai after your meal! :"

"Very disappointed. I ordered from Shri Bheema because on its website it said the Bridge of Don location was open. I ordered for collection with the JustEat website quoting me for pickup. When I finished processing the order at the confirmation said pickup had changed to Not ideal, but manageable. I arrived at the Bridge of Don location to find out that it was closed and the food was coming from Belmont Street. I was disheartened by this, but they explained they could not get staff from India to fill the kitchen. I really want to be sympathetic, but it was before my food arrived which leads to my poor review. The food was good. Lamb korma was light and sweet, perfect for my kids. Chicken patia was surprisingly spicy, but so delicious I ate through the sweats. The naan was huge and each curry would give two generous portions. However, Shri Bheema is more expensive than others and if you can't get the food in good time, then my view is it isn't worth it."

"The majority of the food at the restaurant was delicious, however, the popadoms were extremely oily. The waiter explained that they had just been fried, but we found this explanation unacceptable as we have dined at many Indian restaurants and never experienced such greasy popadoms before. The waiter did offer us a complimentary masala popadom, but it was no better. We were also disappointed to learn that the restaurant's alcohol license had expired when we tried to order drinks, which should have been mentioned when we made our reservation. Additionally, we ordered all of our starters and main courses at once, expecting to receive the starters first as we had specified to the waitress. Unfortunately, our dosa's arrived well before the rest of our food, leaving us waiting. When we mentioned this to the waitress, she explained that the kitchen was very busy and suggested we should have informed her when ordering, which we had already done. The loud volume of the television playing Coco Melon and the music made it difficult for the waitress to hear our concerns. To add to the disappointment, a large party with noisy children made it challenging for us to have a conversation without speaking loudly. Overall, our dining experience was not enjoyable and fell short of our expectations, despite the decent quality of the food (excluding the popadoms)."

"The vegetarian choices at this restaurant are top-notch, especially the Dosa and paneer dishes. It's a pity that they don't offer draft beer, but it's not a major issue when the food is this delicious. "I needed an eatery with good vegetarian options for my party of four and was not disappointed. The food was totally excellent. I happened to enjoy a chicken dish with a lovely mango lassi. Others in the party had dosas which were very good. Apart from the excellent food I should mention the friendly and helpful staff. Dosa World is only a few steps away from the tourist trail of Brick Lane with endless guys offering discounts and trying to lure you in. None of this at Dosa World. Unfortunately there were not a lot of people eating but then we were quite early. What else can I say? Patronise if you are in the area."

"on visiting this restaurant on Thurs Jan we arrived early (the first customers)but were shown to a table and asked if we wanted drinks , although it was early the restaurant was cold and the dÃcor was quite dull and spartan, the staff were very friendly and helpful and although there was no sharing platter on the menu one was made up for us. Now to get to the important part, this restaurant is all about the food and having travelled extensively both all over Britain and the continent this was possibly the best Indian food we have ever eaten if it was possible I would give the food stars The location is also superb being immediately opposite the Festival theatre ideal for pre theatre dinner. Our party consisted of three adults and the total cost including drinks was only which considering its location in the middle of Edinburgh was excellent. I would be happy to visit again, but if they could sort out the ambience issues and toilet I would happily have given it stars."

"My best friend and I were meeting for the first time since the pandemic and this restaurant gave us a truly wonderful evening. The food was incredibly tasty, and the ambience was relaxed, happy and friendly and the staff were superb. They explained dishes, made fabulous suggestions, were caring and helpful to one middleaged and one elderly lady throughout. We enjoyed ourselves enormously I just wish I didn’t live 200 miles away and could visit often. My friend however does live locally and will be back! "Recently tried the breakfast buffet at this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. There were a variety of fresh and delicious items to choose from.
