"I guess since the last few patrons dint have a good experience , I guess my review could be tainted but nevertheless I will try. So I and the wife were craving some dosa on a sunday so decided to try the place. Thankfully we dint have a broken chair and/ or hair in our masalas and dosas not that i wouldve looked. The food tasted awesome, the dosas were absolutely fresh and made crispy o. Request. The masala was good too. There was an endless supply of chutney and sambar which is typical in India but NOT in the Uk. Overall we had a wonderful experience with the food although the prices were just a little steep. I guess the reviews before mine have been taken seriously and the chef decided...read more"

"The food is good, when it is fresh. I go there for an occasional Dosa and Vada. On a number of occasions they have served stale chutneys and dosa filling. Yesterday, the dosa arrived within a minute of ordering and it was cold to touch. I asked them to replace it. The replacement was warm but not crisp. I ordered Vada for takeaway. Since they were busy and taking time to bring the check, I opened the package and decided to eat it. The chutneys were clearly a few days old. The excuse they gave was that they get packed in the morning (not). They then brought the fresh chutneys. I was not delighted paying £22. It’s a hit and miss. I would say insist on bringing fresh food if you find it stale or cold. There is no other accessible place for Dosa, so when I am craving it, I’m forced to go there and hope it will be fresh."

"We went for a family meal to celebrate a special event. We have eaten here several times before and were always impressed with the quality of the food. On this occasion we were eating late in the evening due to other commitments. Some of the food was disappointing. I ordered the lamb tikka biryani. When it arrived, it was clearly chicken not lamb! The rice was very dry and it came with a spicy sauce rather than a vegetable curry. I ate about a third of it. One of the other meals was not particularly inspiring and did not match the promised description. The service was very good, although we did feel the staff were waiting for us to finish as we were the last customers there. In all, we have been a little put off returning to what was one of our favourite places to eat and I am not sure we could recommend it to others despite having done so in the past."

"As someone who has been a cook for many years and a lover of Indian cuisine, I recently visited this restaurant for the first time on my birthday. I must say that I was extremely impressed and even a bit frustrated that I only have one stomach, as the food was truly magical and delicious. The dishes prepared by the chefs were a delight to the taste buds and I was completely enamored with the flavors. Additionally, the restaurant itself was beautifully decorated, clean, and pleasant. The staff were also professional and attentive. I will definitely be returning to this wonderful Indian restaurant again. Thank you."

"I will not give you a 5-star rating because there is opportunity for improvement. However, it won 't be fair to give you anything less than a 3-star rating. Overall, average. What is good so far is 1. The food was really good and fresh. 2. Service was quick. What needs improvement 1. The atmosphere is very dull, the lighting is bad. Improve the decor. 2. Improvement on cleaning is required. That is the general cleaning of the dining area. 3. Please allow card payments. This is the 21st century. People will not withdraw money just to dine in your restaurant. The notice cash payment only is automatically turning down customers."

"which pack a spicy punch. The cozy atmosphere and attentive service make for a pleasant dining experience. The menu includes traditional Kerala cuisine as well as some unique fusion dishes. The flavors are bold and the spice levels can be adjusted to suit your preference. Overall, Kerala Kitchen is a great choice for those who enjoy flavorful and spicy food in a welcoming setting."

"We had family visiting so decided to try the restaurant in Bridge of Don. We were a mixed group from regular Indian foodies to my wife’s mother (age 93) who had never eaten spicy food before. Serg, the manager met us and immediately struck up a rapor with our group, telling jokes, making a fuss of “Mum” and making us feel very welcome. He advised on the menu and wine and settled us down to what was a very memorable evening. In short, wine was great, food amazing and the staff could not have been more attentive. Would highly recommend anyone who fancied a great Indian food experience."

"Very disappointed. I ordered from Shri Bheema because on its website it said the Bridge of Don location was open. I ordered for collection with the JustEat website quoting me for pickup. When I finished processing the order at the confirmation said pickup had changed to Not ideal, but manageable. I arrived at the Bridge of Don location to find out that it was closed and the food was coming from Belmont Street. I was disheartened by this, but they explained they could not get staff from India to fill the kitchen. I really want to be sympathetic, but it was before my food arrived which leads to my poor review. The food was good. Lamb korma was light and sweet, perfect for my kids. Chicken patia was surprisingly spicy, but so delicious I ate through the sweats. The naan was huge and each curry would give two generous portions. However, Shri Bheema is more expensive than others and if you can't get the food in good time, then my view is it isn't worth it."

"Absolutely abysmal service. We placed an order via JustEat over two hours ago (at 18:50) and it’s still not arrived. There has been no communication between the restaurant and ourselves and no reason given for such appalling service. I called at both 20:08 and 20:50 and was told originally it was on its way and would be 20-30 minutes. At 20:50 they’re unsure as to what is happening with the order. Absolutely ridiculous and there’s no excuse for over two hours delay for a simple order when the payment had already been taken! Absolutely ridiculous!"
"if they are ravenous and in the mood for authentic curry, then brick lane can be both a blessing and a curse. the great number of places that claim to be the best in london, Britain and the world is simply crazy. if that is not enough, there are always the touts that try to sue them with promise of freebies and high-quality eating – they try to guess which they get more likely. we were in the hub by premier inn hotel in the middle of lane brick, so that of course dinner on Saturday evening Indian food would involve. trawling through tripadvisor and other blogs with reviews of the contrary it was not easy to decide at a venue. many critiken were lied to by people who were lied to by the touts of free drinks and cheap bills. others praised the world-class cuisine coming from these small restaurants. such a place was dosa world. from outside dosa the world looks like any other dining on brick, slightly rough around the edges, but with a promising menu that specializes in the South Indian cuisine at a decent price. we entered without reservation, but there appeared many patrons here doing the same. the service was friendly and menus were given immediately. it is worth noting that the restaurant does not serve alcohol – only for the case that they want a beer."

"on visiting this restaurant on Thurs Jan we arrived early (the first customers)but were shown to a table and asked if we wanted drinks , although it was early the restaurant was cold and the dÃcor was quite dull and spartan, the staff were very friendly and helpful and although there was no sharing platter on the menu one was made up for us. Now to get to the important part, this restaurant is all about the food and having travelled extensively both all over Britain and the continent this was possibly the best Indian food we have ever eaten if it was possible I would give the food stars The location is also superb being immediately opposite the Festival theatre ideal for pre theatre dinner. Our party consisted of three adults and the total cost including drinks was only which considering its location in the middle of Edinburgh was excellent. I would be happy to visit again, but if they could sort out the ambience issues and toilet I would happily have given it stars."

"the first time that I ordered from here a month ago, the food quality was good, but they forget to take drinks. they gave them back and let go. the second time I recently ordered from here, they have not only forgotten one of the articles, but the quality has completely declined. the curry wasn't as good as the first time. I will not order again unless I learn that the previous cook has returned and they commit themselves to thoroughly review their orders before they send out. the ground material."

"You have to remember this is South Indian Cuisine and built upon family cooking, not just your run of the mill fast food Indian food. I'm someone who loves to try new foods, dishes, places that have just opened. I was not disappointed. The service was painful but that was a language barrier so no ones fault. The food: Ordered the Samosas Chicken 69's Chicken Tikka Lamb Tikka Madras Sag Paneer Patuk?? Spinach with the Paneer cheese The food was excellently spiced and seasoned, I didn;t need to add any salt what so ever!!!! The lamb tikka was shockingly good, the heat was right up my street and the lamb was tender, the curry leaves added just the hint needed to beat the cream and other spices. The saag paneer was immense, very surprised with this being a Veggie dish. It was spicy, well seasoned and great overall aromatics. Pleasantly surprised and now order this every time. Garlic naan was interesting and not quite the normal bubble bread but regardless tasted great and complimented both the curries. This was an all round great experience the first time round. Second not so great, lamb a bit tough, garlic naan had raw garlic but other than that decent again. I would give it 4.5 out of 5. Going to order again this evening so hopefully we go back tot he first experience."
