"if they are ravenous and in the mood for authentic curry, then brick lane can be both a blessing and a curse. the great number of places that claim to be the best in london, Britain and the world is simply crazy. if that is not enough, there are always the touts that try to sue them with promise of freebies and high-quality eating – they try to guess which they get more likely. we were in the hub by premier inn hotel in the middle of lane brick, so that of course dinner on Saturday evening Indian food would involve. trawling through tripadvisor and other blogs with reviews of the contrary it was not easy to decide at a venue. many critiken were lied to by people who were lied to by the touts of free drinks and cheap bills. others praised the world-class cuisine coming from these small restaurants. such a place was dosa world. from outside dosa the world looks like any other dining on brick, slightly rough around the edges, but with a promising menu that specializes in the South Indian cuisine at a decent price. we entered without reservation, but there appeared many patrons here doing the same. the service was friendly and menus were given immediately. it is worth noting that the restaurant does not serve alcohol – only for the case that they want a beer."

The dosa we had as a starter was nice, the main dishes were very greasy. Not cheap for what it is.

Wonderful vegan food. Restaurant full but you could have a conversation without being overwhelmed with noise. Food made with proper ingredients and no padding.

I enjoyed this small restaurant. The dosas were delicious. However, they were missing a few items on the menu, such as samosas and kulfi. If those were available, I would have given it a higher rating.

Love the food. We ordered sambar idli, potato thoran, lemon rice. And everything tasted very good. Vipin was an amazing host. He recommended us on what to order and service was prompt, friendly and polite :

I went to this place for the first time and was blown away from the quality of food. the popadoms were made fresh, the starter menu was amazing with vada sambar and idli’s and the masala dosas on the main menu were some of the best I had in london

undoubtedly the best place to enjoy South Indian food. sambar determines the quality of each place and it is there with respect to the authentic taste and the right aromas. Nestled in the middle of the busy brick lane, its easy to miss. if they are close to london and generally looking for South Indian or Indian food, they go here and will not regret it.

Dosa World is a bastion of deliciousness. From the outside the place doesn't look like much but no don't be deceived. The food is fresh, delicious and varied, with plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans. The service is super friendly as well and the waiters are incredibly accommodating. The restaurant is not ideal for babies and toddlers (no high chairs and the bathroom is very very small), so best to leave little ones at home and enjoy this fantastic place.

Well cooked, genuinely authentic and varied South Indian food. Great, friendly and attentive service in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Dishes such as Kadala curry with Vellappam unusual to find outside of South India are delicious. While meat and fish options are plentiful, this is a particularly good place for vegetarians/vegans, with loads of choice for non meat eaters. I've been eating here for several years now, and the quality has stayed consistently high. Dosa World is several steps above other similar restaurants in the area. Highly recommended.
