"The main course featured Seafood Biryani basmati rice studded with fish and shrimp, mixed with herbs, spices, and dried fruit and sides of delicious Fish Curry, Coconut with Asparagus and Snow Peas, and Yogurt Sauce. Also on the plate was a deep fried Sesame Okra. The vegetables were surprisingly simple and vibrant, and provided a nice crunchy juxtaposition to all the seafood."

"This is the worst experience I have ever had. I really wish I could get my money back. It was very loud, disorganized and terrible overall. The waiters didn't know which tables belonged to them. The people there were incredibly loud, enough to visibly disturb everyone else, and nobody did anything about it. The food was badly seasoned and cooked. The portions were tiny. Never come here, never. It is a terrible hotel restaurant."

"I enjoyed my birthday dinner in this restaurant. My husband and I were first the only cartridges there and had our choice of a cozy table on the back. The lighting was dim and it was a quiet atmosphere. It was not a typical Michelin Star experience, but the staff was so polite and eager to please that it really made for a beautiful experience. And it took less than a typical Michelin Star experience, although this worked well for our tight schedule (1 1/2 hours). The chef ensured that I had some vegetables with my meal (delicious Spinat! and made a special dessert for me to meet my diet requirements. The texture of the shrimps in the curry bowl was perfect and the part of the rice was on site! The cocktails were fabulous! My last cocktail was brought much later when I had ordered it and asked for the bill, so I had no time to drink it. Although it was taken from the bill, it looked so delicious and so beautiful that I wish I had the opportunity to enjoy it. Everything tasted beautiful, but there were so many strong/hot spices in every dish, overwhelmed the meal that the individual flavors do not experience their potential. "Food was ok and general experience was good but completely undermined but what can only be described as stealing. We went as a group of 9 and no one had food costing more £15, yet when we went to pay we somehow ended up paying upwards of £25 each once we split the bill evenly. There were some random charges added on the the end of the bill on top of the service charge that were deliberately scrawled so we couldn’t read it, but amounted to probably 30 or 40 quid. When we asked for a proper receipt with all the costs itemised, they just scrawled it out again. I find this to be absolutely disgraceful behaviour and I won’t be recommending this place to anyone. They think they can steal from you and you won’t notice don’t risk it."

"Not one to write a bad review (and I’ve been a Gail’s regular for 4 years) but this was my first time at this branch having moved to the area and the staff actually really just p*ssed me off. Ordered a breakfast tea, for which I wasn’t given a spoon so I went back to the counter to ask for one and he (long ish brown hair, quite tall) gave me a table spoon and huffed when I said actually i need a teaspoon for tea please. No apology obvs. Then when I sat down I realised they’d given me earl grey tea instead of breakfast tea. I politely told them and they tried to tell me that a breakfast tea is actually earl grey but they would swap it for me as a favour essentially. Sat back down and realised they’d given me earl grey AGAIN. I went back up to the counter and said I promise I’m not being difficult but that’s not breakfast tea. They literally laughed at me and basically gaslit me saying it’s breakfast tea and they couldn’t do anything else for me. I asked them to compare the smell of the tea leaves with an English breakfast tea bag, to which they laughed together and said some numpty has mixed up the tea leaves. Still no apology, just rudeness and finally got a mug with a tea bag in but no pot. I actually never want to return to this branch. Given me a good reason to use independent coffee shops more.."

"I had booked a table for 2 as it was hubbies birthday. When we walked in we were warmly greeted and shown to our table upstairs. Please note there is a lift available). The chair was comfy and plenty of table room. The waiter brought our lunch menu and explained the dishes on offer. Please note they have changed the lunch menu to that shown on their site). It now a choice of three complete menu dishes. We ordered the meat menu and it arrived on a sectioned stainless steel plate and we were not disappointed what was on it. One section for starter, three section holding chicken, lamb different curries, boiled rice and chapatti. Oh boy was it tasty and we cleared our plates. We washed it down with a J20 and Coke. The bill was £25.80 to which £5.90 was for the drinks). I would recommend this place and for one will definitely be going back."

"My partner and I went to Pepper for a relaxing dinner during a short holiday break between Christmas and New Year. It was a quiet evening, as it was a Wednesday, with a few larger groups celebrating birthdays. Despite booking a table online, we had plenty of choices for seating. The menu offered some unique dishes that caught our interest. We started with beautifully cooked and presented seafood appetizers. For our main course, my partner ordered the tandoori lamb chops which were plentiful and delicious. I opted for a king prawn dish that was equally tasty. There was a small mix-up with our order, which was taken on a digital device, resulting in a few dishes we didn't request. However, the mistake was quickly rectified with apologies and a complimentary side dish. Overall, we enjoyed a great meal in a delightful restaurant."

"This restaurant is amazing, beautiful food, good drink selection stellar service, the only thing that let our visit down was charging so much for poppadoms we didn't order! We were provided with 6 poppadoms upon arrival, then charged £6.30 for them, I don't mind paying for them at all, but I think that amount for items we didn't order is excessive. Apart from that I cannot fault the restaurant- staff are so friendly and welcoming the food is great and the setting is beautiful, I would definitely reccomend to anyone, but make them aware of the poppadoms!!"

"A friend and I went here the first week I was in London. It was my first restaurant experience, and I was glad we chose Indian I have heard all the rumors about London food, including that Indian food is supposed one of the best cuisines offered. Since I love Indian food, I was excited to try it.We arrived before the dinner rush and were the only two people in the restaurant. We had chosen what we wanted after only a few moments, so we shut our menus and waited. And waited. We ceased talking as we waited. We were sitting by the windows and the waitress was on the other side of the restaurant at the bar, texting, not paying attention to see if we were ready. It was quite frustrating to be the only people in a restaurant and still take more than ten minutes to place our order.She finally realized we were ready and after this blip the dining experience became much more enjoyable. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala rice and naan do not come with the mains, and each cost more than two pounds which makes the meal kind of expensive, but it was really amazing. Some of the best Indian food I've had in a while.The decor of the restaurant was nothing special and if you didn't already know it was Indian cuisine you wouldn't be able to tell. The food was great, which is the most important part, but if I wanted to come here again I would probably order it to go."

"We placed an order for delivery through Just Eat at 5:45, with an estimated arrival time of 7:30. We waited until 8:00, then called multiple times to inquire about our order, only to be given misleading information. Frustrated by 9:00, we decided to pick up the order ourselves. As we were on our way, we received a notification from our ring doorbell that the food had arrived at 9:20. Upon arrival at the restaurant, we encountered chaos, with no apology for the delay. A family member was practicing football, staff were openly discussing not answering the phone, and a driver mentioned his car's clutch had failed. Another upset customer also came in for their missing order. Despite the food being good once we arrived home, the lack of professionalism and poor service left much to be desired. I advise others not to order delivery from this establishment, as our planned evening was disrupted by this disappointing experience."

The food was fabulous and the restaurant was quirky and buzzing! My 5 Danish friends who can’t really get curry at home were raving about the place and the food!
