"Wow! We were so looking forward to Indian food In Birmingham, and James Dahl Indian did not disappoint. The staff were lovely and attentive. The food was delicious. Best of all, they had my favourite wine on the wine list! The decor is contemporary and tasteful. The restaurant is upscale, but not stuffy. I highly recommend the Rogan Josh."

"The upper deck was closed and the restaurant did not care to inform us despite the fact that we made the booking a month in advance for upper deck. On site Parking as offered only to the favourite ones we were asked to park almost half a mile away. Food and service was also below average; will not recommend this place unless you want to wast your money and kill your evening."

"After discovering that my usual restaurant was closed, my friend and I stumbled upon a Chinese restaurant across the road. With many Chinese customers inside, we decided to give it a try. My friend ordered a hot and spicy soup, while I had chicken with sweet corn. We both enjoyed delicious Chinese dumplings filled with pork, served with a dipping sauce and Szechuan sauce. The portions were generous and the flavors were amazing. I couldn't even finish my meal. We also enjoyed a pot of Chinese tea. The only other restaurant that comes close to this experience is located in San Francisco. I will definitely be returning and recommend others to give it a try as well. They will not be disappointed."

"Another wonderful Friday night with Sunny, Ryan, Ray Ikbal. Situated in the heart of Solihull town centre and just across the road from Solihull church. This wonderful restaurant is situated in a former mansion (grade 2 listed) and has some low beams that add to the character. The staff are only too willing to help you with your choice of food. Don’t be shy, if you don’t like your curry too hot! The staff with only be too happy to point you to the right dish. Being a vegetarian can sometimes be a challenge for me when visiting restaurants. But not at Panchuli’s. If you like your curry hot then try Pumpkin Spinach Madras or if you like it mild then Paneer Tikka Masala and there’s number of other curry’s in between to suit the most discerning customer."

"Walking up Borough High Street, I passed Truly Indian on my way to sainsburys. I noticed that the chicken tikka wrap was back on their lunch time menu. It had not been advertised for while but historically I had at least one a week when there were last on the menu. They were amazing £5.95 for the wrap and a drink.So decided to have one again, this time its advertisd at £4.95 but no drink. Not to worry dont like fizzy drinks anyway.So at my desk and half way through it and although the sauce had changed and not as good as previous the main issue was the chicken. I decided to unwrap it and clearly the old chuncks of chicken tika have been replaced with finer cuts of chicken with no tikka. And I counted 4 very small slivers the size of a finger nail.This is just unbeleivable. I know produce and rents have gone up but a decent operator is not taking the mickey with this type of trick.Management please sort it out please, at £5 i can get a decent burger of the market or a mixed meat mezze at the establishment opposite you. Not happy. Clearly not, as I dont write reviews unless something is great or something is really bad."

"Firstly, its not just a Chinese restaurant..... you can buy a whole range of oriental and spicy dishes.The service is exemplary, it even makes me smile upon leaving the the matredee (sp) always says Goodby Mr XXXXX to my husband, and that was from the very first time! its these little touches and the instamatic prawn crackers that you remember.Saying that, the food is beautiful and the surroundings pleasent, so I wouldn't doubt your enjoyment....Becareful at weekends though because downstairs opens as a bar and produce a little bit of hubub. I say go for it, you will be pleasently surprised."

"We were a large group, who had booked weeks in advance. The food was good, but the service was incredibly slow. It took an hour to receive our starters after ordering, and another hour and a half after ordering mains (why weren't both orders taken at the same time? to receive our mains. It was a Saturday early evening. Our party arrived at 1730 and left at 2115. Way too long to wait as we had somewhere else to go to afterwards. We felt that the staff were just trying to encourage us to buy more drinks whilst we waited. Nothing wrong with attentive staff, but nearly 4 hours to finish our meal was unacceptable. The restaurant was not very busy, and to see other tables eat and leave before us was frustrating. The food was good, staff polite and friendly, but the experience let down by the slow service. First time Id been there and I will not return or recommend."

"I absolutely love this place. The owner and the staff are friendly, just the kind of warmth you'd expect at an authentic Indian and Nepalese restaurant. I used to frequently visit Balti Curries even when I was a student at Falmouth University. They have a wide variety of dishes. I had the onion bhajees, momo, and the lamb tikka biryani. The portion size was really good and the taste was exceptional. Thank you for the lovely experience."

"Fantastic meal. We headed into town to use an Itison voucher we received as a Christmas present. It was well worth the trip! Often in other restaurants I've found that with a voucher you don't receive as good a menu or service. However this was...not the case at Amarone. We received a friendly welcome and were taken to a good table. The set up here is perfect for an intimate meal. Great central location and you go downstairs so there is no noise from the streets outside. It is a large restaurant but the booths make it feel more cosy and customers were seated well apart so there was plenty of space around us. The food was delicious! The minestrone soup was perfect for a cold winter's day and the pizzas were a generous size. I managed to keep just enough space for my favourite tiramisu dessert which was the best end to the meal. The cocktail too (Raspberry Mule) was lovely. The service throughout was attentive but we never felt rushed. I will definitely be back with friends once restrictions are eased a bit more."

"Not the best experience. No parking to start with. Inconsiderate drivers. Service was overly keen. Kept interrupting our conversation various times asking is everything okay constantly throughout the experience. Manager offered as we walked in some water and poppadoms in a complimentary way. Later to find out he charged us a ridiculous price. Food was very overpriced for the quality. The variety was very limit and the staff didn’t now about the menu when asked questions. The manager was sneaky and added service charge also without asking us or telling. Place is small. Go owl and pussycat if you want good Indian food at a fraction of the price. I wouldn’t recommend unless you into a show room restaurant rather the quality and service. Thumbs down for me over hyped."

"we had a great evening in their restaurant! we came in without booking, and there were 8 of us at one of the evenings. the spicy margaret was just one of the best cocktails we need to order most. the cocktails taste fabulous! one of my friends has several allergens. it is not good to eat, and most of the food she cannot eat. a blonde lady took our job, and I told her I had several allergens. an Asian lady knows my allergens. she went beyond and beyond to make sure I had something to eat. she almost makes me cry because she cares about my allergens. thanks for a fabulous evening. the Asian dame and all the workers make our evening just as good as her. We will be back for more cocktails. we love this place and you are the best!"
