"This is a great restaurant, and I always come here for lunch if I am in Wells. It has a nice bright modern looking interior and the staff are friendly and helpful. It is situated at the top of town next to the street market and just before you get to the cathederal. Ask is a family friendly restaurant with plenty of high chairs and last time I was in here with my children they gave my little girl an activity pack with little pencils and stickers which I thought was a really nice touch and it kept her amused. The have a good range of pizzas and pastas, my favourite is the vegetairan pizza which has loads of nice chunks of vegetables in it, the pizza is not quite as nice a pizza express pizzas but they do a better range of pasta. My favourite dish is their baked mushroom starter, it is delicious!"

"Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was very disappointing. Despite being extremely busy, there was not enough staff and those present seemed inexperienced. We waited for more than five minutes at the door before anyone acknowledged us, and even longer before we were seated. After 10 minutes at our table, no one had taken our order so we had to use the app to order (not ideal for dining in a restaurant). An hour after arriving, our starters arrived but our drinks were still missing, so we had to ask for them. When the drinks finally arrived, one was missing and the waitress seemed confused. We waited with dirty plates on the table for around 20 minutes after finishing our starters. The waitress then cleared the plates and after another 15 minutes, our main dishes arrived. Unfortunately, they had run out of pizza, which we did not order. My dish (beef pappardelle) was good, but my partner's (pollo Milanese) was cold. The tables were sticky and the toilets were out of toilet paper. We spoke to another customer who had also had a poor experience. They mentioned considering asking for their food to go due to the long wait. It seems that the option for takeaway or delivery may be affecting the restaurant's service quality. Overall, the experience was not worth the cost. Service: Dine in. Meal type: Dinner. Price per person: £20-30."

"Eating was excellent. more beautiful place and would come back. large selection of pizzas and pasta dishes and a lot of other delicious dishes. Unfortunately, the only thing that gave it up was the service. it was good at the beginning, but after our net we were somehow forgotten and polishing glasses or retrofitting were more important than we were. but maybe it was just one night, so will come back and hopefully it was just one. Edit: was just again and it was great. service was fast and pleasant. the food came out very quickly and it did not compromise on the quality as it was excellent. I'm not sure if lamb works on pizza, but it was worth trying as I never tried. overall much better service than last time. very good and will come back I am sure soon"

"I had a nice time tonight. very courteous with great food and spot in service. we had an 8-month baby with us, ask italian could have high chair and hot water to warm our enkelin. there is also a baby change, just to ask where it was because it is not signed. that we could at least see. kellner was really good, friendly and understanding. we had a few diet requirements and a low key birthday, all sorted easily. our food came in a good, timely way and everything we had ordered when it came to our table. everything tells, great eating, beautiful ambiente, perfect service, all at an acceptable price, just what we were after. many thanks to ask italian, solihull"

"The dining experience was pleasant, but there are very few choices for vegans. The fruit juices are labeled as vegetarian, not vegan, and there was no explanation given. The food was not as flavorful as other vegan options I have had elsewhere, so I had to add a lot of pepper and balsamic to my pasta. Overall, I would recommend trying other options before eating here."

"I’ve been in Ask Epsom recently to celebrate mother’s day. The experience was amazing from start to finish. All staff was great and really good even with full restaurant. Food was great either. Exactly match everyone’s expectations. And at the end my wife was even surprised with a mother’s day gift. Really kind from restaurant. Definitely one of my favourites in Epsom. "on 26 December birthday of my wife the restaurant had unfortunately a crash with her cook in the night before the problems caused with service, eating and storage level. the manager had explained the situation and that it is a very low teig deficiency....not great in a pizza and pasta restaurant. of course ordered pasta, which then also let the pasta run out. we didn't get what we wanted on our pasta selection, that didn't taste good either. fortunately we were not charged for these 3 courts. the staff and management were friendly and professional. they did their best to serve us well in the circumstances. I personally expected better because I was a reservation for 8, 4 of them were children and it was the birthday of my wife. in the evening of the boxing days it was not possible in the last minute elsewhere. on the bright side was still open."

"The food was bland and the pasta was overcooked. One pizza was incorrect and had to be sent back to have the pepperoni removed, thankfully the guest wasn't vegetarian. There were fruit flies buzzing around the restaurant. The kids had a good time, so we didn't complain, but we won't be returning. Thankfully, we used Tesco vouchers to pay, so it wasn't too much of a disappointment."

"now, I have booked online with a notiz that says that my daughter's birthday. we have no table ready to wait for us, two tables were simply pushed near the door. ends up asking how it was too cold, with the...draft coming through. manager brought us to a beautiful stand and was beautiful. Drinking took a long time until they arrived, and when they did, it was wrong. three articles were out when we arrived, but after a very, very long wait for the order discovered the plate that my daughter wanted for starter, was also sold out now, starter came in two parts with quite a gap between. we ordered a few desserts that took a long, long time to turn (has just asked about a delay). the personal was beautiful, but the service was shocking. what was even worse, was one of the waitress masks wearing skills, her kinn was very protected and wore the mask well! a shame as a daughter loves here, but she ended up with a disappointing night"

"A very busy Friday evening in Norwich with the fireworks at I booked the table for of us at arrived and were shown immediately to our table. With a seven year old and a nine year old they enjoyed their meal of pasta, dunk and dip. The waiter was very attentive and dealt with them very well. They enjoyed the meal. Everything ordered came out together in a timely way even though the restaurant was filling up. My wife had a pizza that she enjoyed. Altogether a nice evening meal for generations"

"Staff took quite a while to approach us at the main door.. We had arrived mins early, so appreciated that it may be a wait to arrange a table.. we commented that we’d be happy to wait at their bar, to find this isn’t available ?, or at least there isn’t a bar waiting area which is a shame considering the potential of the location. The Assembly Rooms could be a beautiful venue, but the decor doesn’t match up to this. Feels more like an echoing canteen especially when small children run up and down the “wasted” space along the edge of the main room. The sound of their feet bounces off of the walls. The staff are helpful but clearly over stretched on a Saturday. The food was ok.. not much to make you go “wow!”. This was my first experience in ASK Italian, and it was rather, sadly, mediocre"

"booked table about opentable website like by ask website. posting was confirmed by email, but when we arrived restaurant has no record of booking and they must have booked the other asking in milton keynes, the people do that all the time. I'll see if I can fit you. this was not the case after my confirmation, and I found it very dismissed from the employee. she seemed to believe that she did please us to correct the situation and had no interest in finding out why the book system had failed. for our 5 year old son, he had to hunt after boy, because they were not brought with his activity sheet/Menu. asked about the crawl of the hahne, but not enough glasses were delivered. the starter of my life came, but the tomato dive was missing. eating was fair, but because of the quality and taste too expensive. my side salad consisted of rocket, a small amount of red bevel, a half chirschtomatin and a gurke. the rocket is favorable to maximize the margin. all these are relatiw small problems, but so many in one visit suggests that there is no good management. restaurant seemed so difficult for busy Saturday afternoon to keep everyone trouble. I'm trying. I'm not going to go back to this two-way. Too bad we have a few nice meals and a great service on others."

"We visited this restaurant on a beautiful day and found the ambiance to be pleasant. Unfortunately, there was no record of our booking despite receiving automated confirmation emails. The staff seemed slightly disorganized and appeared to be annoyed with our inquiries. However, the service was generally quick. My baked pasta was a bit saucy, but the taste and presentation were good. I particularly enjoyed my refreshing nojito and ended up ordering a second one. "All the other times i have been to Ask, the service has been polite and friendly. Unfortunatly last night was a massive let down to the company. I phoned the resturant at in the evening and booked a table for people at o clock. We got to the resturant, on time and had to wait minutes before we were seated on the sofa's and told our table wasn't ready, which i found very dissapointing as we had pre-booked it. I also noticed that the table they were planning on seating us, was one that other people were on, so they must of been expecting the people to have finished, which isn't satisfactory as they had obviously not made any other arrangements, and ended up having to make another seater table for us, which wasted even more time. At we were finally seated, and ordered a bottle of wine, which we waited half an hour for, finally when it arrived we ordered another one so we wouldn't have to wait again. The food arrived promptly but due to the bad start we ate the meal and left. This is one of best resturants in Burgess hill, but the staff looked like they didn't know what they were doing. Fortunalty we wern't pressed for time, but if we had been, then it would of messed up our time scehdule."
