Fettuccine served in a creamy Alfredo sauce with rich Parmesan and a hint of garlic, topped with fresh herbs.

"Trattoria Calabrese is a fantastic little italian restaurant in Norbiton. It's very intimate and authentic and serves delicious food. When we visited last, we had the Bresaola to start, which was a little expensive but well portioned and with lovely fresh beef and parmesan. Then we had the tagliatelle with ham and cream, very rich but delicious nonetheless ; and the seabass with tomatoes, olives, capers and spinach which was some of the best fish I've tried. The tiramisu to finish was exceptional. The only reason I wouldn't rate it more highly is because the service was very slow, despite its charm, and it's not exactly authentic to be paying £3.50 for a basket of bread- in Italy it's complementary every time!"

"My wife and I were working at the Excel Centre and spotted Zero Sette nearby as they advertised Gluten Free options (my wife has Coeliac Disease). Right from the off the staff were absolutely amazing. They explained what dishes were Gluten Free and when my wife asked if they were able to do a Carbonara the proper way without cream (this was not on the menu), the chef said no problem promptly served up a tasty generous portion of spaghetti carbonara with GF spaghetti. I had the smoked salmon tagliatelle which was beautiful. We also had the caprese salad for starters which was one of the best I’ve had. We cannot thank the chef and the lovely staff enough finding decent Gluten Free options these days is hard enough, but our dining experience was fantastic and we will definitely be back again soon!"

"I just want to say a massive thanks to our amazing meal on the 1st april! our family went to adesso for my mother birthday nineteen of us,) as usual was eating nice, not a complaining everyone really enjoyed it. I'm vegetarian, it's not always easy to find something else, but anyway I never miss! the mushroom ravioli is one of the best pasta dishes I ever had, and the passion fruit meringue was for dying! some of our family live in kilwinning and have never eaten there, but they will be definitiv again, everyone is still talking about it. I also have to add that it is not just eating that is great that the staff is also excellent. nothing is too much annoyed they are friendly and efficient. many thanks for making our night so pleasant and my mothers eighty first birthday an unforgettable one!"
"Searching for restaurants on Google can sometimes seems like sticking pin in map and hoping for the best. After all, th eating are all relative to the area. Well, Google is spot on with this review, currently 4.8, basically is the full stars this place deserves. The welcome and service efficient, knowledgeable, and polite. We started with balsamic vinegar and olive oil, which was the tastiest I've ever had. They use a balsamic glaze that gives the starter and sweeter and more rounded satisfaction. My partner had the carbonara, which she said was delicious, if not a bit salty. I tried it, and it was exactly to my taste. I had Fettuccine de fruit de Mer, which was perfect. I can't describe it any better. The seafood was, of course, fresh, the mussles tasty, and the prawns juicy. I looked forward to every bite. Best of all was the sauce. It was exactly the right amount of chillie to gave it flavour and bite without distracting from the glorious flavours of the seafood. The atmosphere is relaxed and really delivers on a good night. The perfect evening, any occasion, from an easy night out with friends to a romantic meal with the love of your life. But be warned your attention will be on the food rather than your partner!"

"While everything seemed to be packed around canary wharf, this place was almost empty, so we decided to sit down as we had a rather large group of people. the drink selection is quite short and I would recommend you to get a pint of peroni. However, there are a few snacks with their drink at each and they are quite decent. I had the calamari and it was good with my beer and one of my friends had the chicken wing and she was also happy with them. I didn't think this was a place to find out, but they can definitely enjoy a nice pint at the river in the summer months and escape the heat."

"we stay in mevagissey for a week and decided to celebrate our high-time anniversary at roovrays, we were not disappointed at all I had to start muddles and chose the Thai fish and mussel curry and finished with eton mess, all 3 cousins. were excellent, the sauces with the seafood were irritating and a nice example how well this cook is."

"First time at Positanos tonight after hearing only amazing reviews and I’m so glad to say we weren’t disappointed. From the moment we entered the restaurant we were greeted warmly and friendly by all staff and the service throughout the night was outstanding. The house wine was absolutely incredible (and only £10.80!!!! which was a huge hit. We were amazed by the menu and how much choice there was which added to the excitement of trying to pick what to have. Overall, the food was insatiable and the portion sizes were very generous. The carbonara was probably the best I’ve ever tasted and the pizza was huge. The complimentary bruschetta was an amazing touch and honestly delicious. We were blown away by the food and service and the value for the money was the icing on the cake. Can’t believe we haven’t been before and cannot wait to go back again already booked in again for a weeks time! Positano’s deserves all of the recognition it receives and I’d recommend anyone to go."

"Fabio’s Restaurant in Old Town has been a family favourite for nigh on thirty years, since my parents first took me there as a kid. Every experience was a special moment, it was always a treat to dine there. Gianni, and his attentive team, treats us as royalty and still gives us attention despite their regular, enormous amount of covers. Always an ‘on-the-house’ aperitif offered to close the meal. As for the food, I recommend sticking close to the traditional structure for Italian dining: • Antipasti: a couple of small shared dishes, such as: ≈ insalata di mozzarella e pomodori ≈ insalata di mare ≈ trio fritti • Followed by Primo (1° course : pasta dishes served as starter portions especially, the fettuccine: ≈ fettuccine al salmone ≈ fettuccine all’ortolana • Secondo (2° : go for a special if possible, the fish is usually a standout, or: ≈ pollo alla’cacciatora ≈ filetto rossini filetto alla boscaiola • Contorno (sides : usually comes with the main so no need to order separately • Dolce (dessert : panna cotta or banana di fabio followed by espresso latte digestivo, limoncello being a personal favourite Suitable for: ≈ Romantic meals, family, parties, solo dining ≈ IBS-friendly, just ask for alternatives and they’ll accommodate ≈ Portion sizes appropriate to Italian meal structures ≈ Vegetarians"

"as usual, eating was excellent and our favourite in the pub area. the only difference in this time was the service in which we felt forgotten when we were chatting busy but had to catch attention to give our order and sweet order, but the personal was still very nice. we have come for many years and have stayed there and we would recommend it. the sweets are the best."

"Food was ok, I ordered the crab fettuccine which was served on a cold plate therefore the food wasn't particularly warm and the crab was sparce . A 12.5% service charge was added as a default to the bil, something I object to as I'm happy to pay a service charge but on my discretion based on the service !! Our service that had a Liverpool accent was excellent, but other servers were lacking. Yes, I'd go again as I generally like Gusto but I was disappointed with the restaurant on this occasion."

"I went last night and from the moment we entered the restaurant to the moment we left we were made to feel extremely welcome. The place was quite busy and at times quite loud but these were people enjoying themselves so I wouldn't knock that too much. The food was a nice choice with plenty of options without being too many and the small selection of specials sounded lovely. We both enjoyed all three courses, the chips were lovely fat homemade chips. There was a bit of a wait between the starters and the main course but probably not a bad thing. We just had soft drinks and they were reasonable for a meal out. All in all a very nice evening and we will definitely be returning."

"Stunning food, amazing care from all the waiters and kitchen staff, especially as I have allergies to a couple of things. The owner has time to check all is good. The waiters go out of there way to check you have all you need. The ambiance was buzzing and happy. Everything you would hope for when celebrating with your other half over an anniversary meal. Parking: Parking free after 6pm at the Quay and lots of spaces available considering it was a Friday night."

"Lunch. What a find this restaurant is. We were staying at a hotel practically next door and came across it as we were walking our dogs. It's located right on the seafront promenade Felpham. One look at the specials board, we could tell this was going to be good. As we'd had eaten earlier, we tried a couple of their sandwiches. Prawn Crayfish cocktail. Gourmet fish finger. Both were packed with filling and absolutely delicious. It was so good we had to return the next day to try something else. This time we chose one of the specials. Which was the local lobster brioche roll. With lemon pepper mayo, tomato watercress. Served with seasoned fries and slaw. At £18.95 it's not cheap, but it's so worth it. Everything is cooked fresh to order, and looking at other dishes coming out of the kitchen, we had serious food envy. Staff are very cheerful and a bonus for us, it's very dog friendly. We shall have to return to try some of the delicious looking food from the Specials board."

"authentic, simple yet delicious Italian cuisine! we are full, satisfied and very happy to find this amazing restaurant. the passion and attention of the staff is the first class. amazing cocktails, tasty and beautifully presented, even the alcohol-free versions were delicious. all of the salad, dressed and seasoned as in italy to the fresh ingredients in the main dishes. the proportion was considerable, even the seafood starter (high recommended). everything was in front of place and we also love the bar area for drinks we will definitely be back soon, even if it only for an aperol splash! not one who misses it! a great new appointment to the city center!"

"I can find working in the city a bit souless at times, especially when it comes to restaurants. There are a couple of great ones (for example City Social, Duck and Waffle and Goodmans) but they are definitely on the treat yo’self list, unless work is paying! I personally think there is a lack of interesting places to venture to for lunch. That’s why I’m happy I have L’Anima Cafe just within reach of my office. Being based at Bank it’s a good 15 minute walk, but oh so worth it. L’Anima Cafe is the sister to the award winning L’Anima just around the corner. This is a more informal setting with all day dining and great for after-work drinks. There’s also a deli for food-to-go. I’ve eaten here only twice but I hope I make many more visits. On my first visit I had a terrific lamb ragu: a rich, deep and salty ragu over parpadelle. I have thought about it many times since! This time we shared a couple of starters: an artichoke, asparagus and anchovy salad with pecorino shavings and a simple tomato, basil and garlic bruschetta. The salad was light and fresh with the moorish saltiness from the anchovy, a really wonderful dish. The tomatoes were seasoned perfectly on the bruschetta, however a couple of pieces came out a bit burnt as you can see, so we ended up eating the tomatoes but leaving the bread on those pieces. There was a veal ragu on the menu this time which I did contemplate ordering but thought I should change it up a little. There were some great fish dishes but in the end I ordered the spaghetti alle vongole: clams with garlic, chilli, parsley and white wine. This is one of my favourite pasta dishes and it did not disappoint! The al dente spaghetti with the soft salty clams and a slight kick from the chilli was wonderful. The parsley in there keeping it nice and fresh. Oh, I wish I was eating a plate of it now! Another pasta dish was also ordered, the fettuccine primavera. This entailed saffron, broad beans, peas asparagus and courgette flower. I had a taste of this too and it tasted garden-fresh, if that makes sense, really clean and light. A lovely dish. My other colleague wanted to order something different to us; the daily special of sole was decided upon. It was humungous! It came served with slices of crisp potatoes and cherry tomatoes. Oh my god, the flavour in the fish was incredible and so juicy too. We struggled to finish it all. All in all a great meal. Just two small points, the staff can be a little slow and also, last time we ordered the broccoli pizza and it was pretty bland. So I would avoid their pizzas. But everything I’ve ever ordered has been very good and rather beautiful too. It is very much full of suits mid-week but I imagine there is a different vibe in the evening and at weekends as it pretty much on the boarder between the city and Shoreditch (it’s right by the Queen of Hoxton). One day soon I hope to try L’Anima next door. But in the mean time this is the place to go for great Italian food!"

"We have always been big fans of this restaurant and were very impressed with our recent meal here. Recently, we decided to try Melucci's catering service for a party and wanted to share our experience. We ordered six boxes, three sandwiches, and three selection boxes. Ordering was easy through Maria on Instagram, who was very accommodating. We requested all boxes to be vegan, with one gluten-free, and Maria made sure to meet our dietary needs while also providing interesting and diverse selections. The food was delicious and well-presented, with creative taste combinations, especially in the sandwiches. Maria's creativity ensured that the vegan options were not repetitive. Our guests loved the food, which was plentiful and well-priced for the quality. The service was on time, with quick pickup. We highly recommend Melucci's catering for parties, functions, or meetings."

"My husband and I were at the Poachers Pocket recently for a wee meal out. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and a cosy atmosphere. All staff were lovely... However, we ordered from the pub classics menu and although the food we got was very tasty, the portions were extremely small... As in, starter sized. I got the fish pie and the dish that it was in was about 4 inches in diameter if that, inclusive of the fish and mash on top. With 2 smalls bits of carrot and broccoli beside it. To me, it was not worth £12. My husband got the sausages and mash, again, very tasty, but small portion of food for the price. In comparison to other eateries, not worth the money, which is a shame, as we enjoyed what we ate. But we left feeling very disappointed and hungry."

"This is a very mixed review. The food at Rabia 's is excellent and we 've dined there before. But we will never go again. The payment and leaving processes at the end of the evening was ugly and unacceptable. It turned what had been a lovely dining experience into a poor one, one that I will long remember, but not at all in a good way. First, I noticed a significant difference between the itemized bill they gave us at the end of the meal and the credit card voucher that they process. There was no explanation, but when I asked (after waiting several minutes to get the server to come over, even though there were few customers at the time), I was told it was a 4% 'credit card fee. ' I 've never had this at another restaurant and it was not stated either on their website or even on the credit card voucher. Second, and even more costly, when we got to our car at the Haymarket (Parcel 7) Garage, they said our parking slip was NOT validated, even though staff of Rabia 's had told us twice that it was. I tried to call the restaurant that we 'd only left 10 minutes before and just got put into their voicemail. Again, they were not at all crowded. When I talked to the manager the next day, she denied any responsibility for anything. Her attitude was an immediate 'not my problem, ' to everything we discussed. Too bad. A restaurant with such an unwelcoming attitude will not last long."
