"OK so this is a review of a takeaway as my partner had a first grand daughter 5 days ago so mum, dad and babe not able to eat out yet. I left a message to say I wanted to place an order and was called back. The order was placed and ready for collection less that half an hour later and, if you use the Chester Street carpark, there is a back entrance and everything was ready and waiting. My lady went for the Fettucine al Funghi creamy garlic mushrooms to you and I. She was blown away by the flavours and I had a taste of what was left and can agree it was SO mushroom flavoured. I opted for the Penne Arrabbiata con Pollo with a side order of Meatballs. Starting with the latter they are probably the nicest meatballs I have tasted in my much travelled 68 years. The Arrabbiata was pretty amazing too with lots of flavour and plenty of meat speaking purely personally I would have liked a little more sauce but it's a personal thing and the flavours were spot on. The youngsters opted for pizzas which I'm told were excellent but they were attending to their new princess to focus too much on the food. I lok forward to visiting the place again and sampling their full menu as the limited takeaway one if pretty good"

"Bacaro is situated in Ocean village and it is a little gem of a place. It is tastefully decorated for a chilled and relaxing time that you will have. There is both a restaurant and bar area and you feel at ease in the place !! Anyway upon arrival you are always greeted with a smile by the happy bar staff which is always lovely I have always loved this place but I would only give a top rating if it deserved it and not through loyalty !! Tonight I had arancini, crayfish linguine and garlic bread, washed down with a lovely glass of house red. The arancini are just the best I have ever tasted, they are both filling but light, the taste is a joy for the taste buds and obviously highly recommended. The linguine is a good portion, I love the flavours and the way the dish is both cooked and presented, the crayfish has a subtle flavour and I never leave any of it. The garlic bread is filling and not dry, they don't skimp on the garlic butter I can't fault the food at all and never have done this is mainly due to the sublime cooking skills from the chefs Greg, Alex and all the wonderful kitchen staff. Bacaro is expertly run the effervescent manager Sophie, for the job you do and how you run Bacaro I tip my hat to you Sophie is well backed up by Matt, Eleanor, Conor, Sindija and all the other wonderful staff ... You make the place and we are grateful for the brilliant jobs you do Very highly recommend"

"For the main course, I opted for the Rigatoni Salsiccia, and it was equally excellent. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauce paired with the garlic sausage was outstanding. This dish was bursting with flavor, and I couldn't have asked for anything better. The portion sizes at this restaurant are very generous, and you definitely won't leave hungry. I was amazed at the value for money—it was excellent! I would absolutely return in a heartbeat; it was that good. Although the restaurant does add a service charge, they will gladly remove it if you request. The only minor downside is that wheelchair access may be an issue, as it seems there are no entry points without steps. Other than that, it was a truly wonderful evening, and the staff should be very proud of their service. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who hasn't been before!"

"My husband took me here for my birthday ,it was our second meal here as we came here 6 years ago and loved it .The restaurant has had a small makeover and was lovely and modern and spacious. We were shown to our table and they had put up a birthday banner and balloons which was nice.We were given complimentary glasses of prosecco and had a lovely meal each,everything we ate tasted fresh,with lovely flavours and the waitress who served us was friendly and helpful, I would highly recommend to anyone to visit you will not be disappointed, the only negative was there was no atmosphere as the restaurant was very quiet but that could be because people where watching the football elsewhere."

"I just want to say a massive thanks to our amazing meal on the 1st april! our family went to adesso for my mother birthday nineteen of us,) as usual was eating nice, not a complaining everyone really enjoyed it. I'm vegetarian, it's not always easy to find something else, but anyway I never miss! the mushroom ravioli is one of the best pasta dishes I ever had, and the passion fruit meringue was for dying! some of our family live in kilwinning and have never eaten there, but they will be definitiv again, everyone is still talking about it. I also have to add that it is not just eating that is great that the staff is also excellent. nothing is too much annoyed they are friendly and efficient. many thanks for making our night so pleasant and my mothers eighty first birthday an unforgettable one!"

"I've written many glowing reviews for this restaurant, but my experience yesterday was a bit disappointing. If nearly raw cabbage and lukewarm custard are the new trends in cuisine, I hope we can move past them soon because they simply don't appeal to anyone! However, these are minor issues compared to the sneaky tactics used to lighten my wallet. We were offered the lunch special menu at £30 for three courses, which we chose since it was 4:45 PM. But when the bill arrived, we were charged £35. Apparently, that's the evening price, so please don't present us with a menu that’s not applicable! On top of that, there’s a service charge. While it's rarely acknowledged, I believe diners should have the freedom to decide when and how much to tip, without the awkwardness of having to request its removal if the service or food doesn't meet our expectations. Better yet, Gusto, consider giving your staff a pay rise! Despite my little rant, I genuinely enjoy this place and will likely return."

"Searching for restaurants on Google can sometimes seems like sticking pin in map and hoping for the best. After all, th eating are all relative to the area. Well, Google is spot on with this review, currently 4.8, basically is the full stars this place deserves. The welcome and service efficient, knowledgeable, and polite. We started with balsamic vinegar and olive oil, which was the tastiest I've ever had. They use a balsamic glaze that gives the starter and sweeter and more rounded satisfaction. My partner had the carbonara, which she said was delicious, if not a bit salty. I tried it, and it was exactly to my taste. I had Fettuccine de fruit de Mer, which was perfect. I can't describe it any better. The seafood was, of course, fresh, the mussles tasty, and the prawns juicy. I looked forward to every bite. Best of all was the sauce. It was exactly the right amount of chillie to gave it flavour and bite without distracting from the glorious flavours of the seafood. The atmosphere is relaxed and really delivers on a good night. The perfect evening, any occasion, from an easy night out with friends to a romantic meal with the love of your life. But be warned your attention will be on the food rather than your partner!"

"Visited Fabio’s on early Saturday night and it was busy as always with lots of family group and friends, so a buzz and quite noisy. The staff were attentive and quick; we ordered the Mozzarella and Funghi Fritti for starters which were good; then we went for the Spaghetti Bolognaise and Mushroom, Pea and Asparagus Risotto which was really delicious and was so filling I couldn’t finish it and we took the leftovers home. That went down a treat the next day. We did order garlic bread with cheese but unfortunately that was underwhelming and soggy, but everything else was good, service was quick and the staff are all super friendly. This is definitely recommended for good food, quick service and a nice family feel."

"I was accommodated nicely, and the restaurant lead ensured I got a seat The food is absolutely great apart from the Canole, which tasted beautiful BUT a fork and spoon wouldn't break, i ate it with my fingers, when nobody was looking and it was shame as the presentation was lovely. . I was told the desserts weren't in the menu, but that was wrong, and my memory is fine. The scallops are divine, and the spaghetti is beaut. Attitude problems with some staff more the women, the guys are friendly enough, is it a Sicilian thing? If you can get your head around that, then fine. I felt I was treated like I was going to rob the place. This reflects other people's comments looking at them. I come as I am, from work NHS surgical, I like to eat out once a week. You serve me when I pay, not vice versa. You tell a lot of people how things are. House wines are great. Lighten up. Take it on board. Be nice., work on it, I hope to return."

"I went last night and from the moment we entered the restaurant to the moment we left we were made to feel extremely welcome. The place was quite busy and at times quite loud but these were people enjoying themselves so I wouldn't knock that too much. The food was a nice choice with plenty of options without being too many and the small selection of specials sounded lovely. We both enjoyed all three courses, the chips were lovely fat homemade chips. There was a bit of a wait between the starters and the main course but probably not a bad thing. We just had soft drinks and they were reasonable for a meal out. All in all a very nice evening and we will definitely be returning."

"The food was delicious.. I love hamon very much, and I was really delighted to find that restaurant. "Food can be great if you can get past the very poor front of counter customer service. I have been a regular over many years, good chef and kitchen/waiting team, but I returned recently after a long time not going and had really bad experience. Woman on till, apparently the manager, made me feel extremely uncomfortable on serving us, as if she didn't want us there, then we waited so long for food(quick sandwich light lunch order) that we ran out if time to eat and had to cancel and leave refunded. So we ended up not eating anything and leaving with our money back. It would've been £25 for a lunch snack we would have rushed. We couldn't justify that. All very peculiar, I'm a familiar face there but was so snubbed. Imfact we took it quite personally and on principle had to get out. Its a real pity because the menu and variety and quality from the kitchen team is so good. I would not want to return and have to face the counter woman again. And I was warned beforehand that the management had changed and the service had dropped, so that was proved to be very accurate feedback.
