"When Arancini first opened in Kentish Town, it was fantastic. The arancini were delicious and light, and there was a good variety of food to choose from. I have been a regular customer ever since. While I am a vegetarian who consumes dairy, I was somewhat disappointed when they switched to a vegan menu. Despite some menu changes that I wasn't fond of, I continued to dine there. However, on my most recent visit, I ordered some mushroom and courgette arancini on their own and found them completely inedible - I actually had to spit them out. They were dense, sticky, and had a glutinous brown texture, nothing like the light and delicious risotto-filled arancini I had enjoyed before. No Italian would recognize it as authentic arancini. Does being vegan really mean changing the recipes this drastically? Unfortunately, I will not be returning to Arancini."
