"We enjoyed a wonderful 6 course tasting menu at The Olive Tree, Bath on the evening of my 50th Birthday at the end of August. Each course was presented beautifully and by friendly staff it was not at all stuffy but appropriate and welcoming to a mixed clientele. The flavours in each dish were exquisite and we were delighted to be introduced to a 'Nutritional Yeast ' sauce this was just divine though we couldn 't help but think it could do with a catchier name (not the restaurant 's fault of course! . The only negative comment I could make would be that the cutlery didn 't quite fit with the attention to detail paid to everything else. The decor and surroundings, the professionalism and friendlilness of the staff, the glassware and dinnerware were all elegant and just perfect, but the lightweight cutlery did not seem befitting of the rest of the experience. I would like to recommend as politely as possible, a visit to Robert Welch or their closest distributor! Overall, we had a very lovely evening and hope we will have opportunity to return some day...
