"My husband and I booked lunch for our 2 year wedding anniversary and were lucky enough to sit outside in the patio garden as the weather was so lovely. The service we received from the moment we arrived and throughout our lunch was impeccable! The staff were friendly, personable and incredibly helpful. The food was utterly delicious! I ordered the heritage tomatoes to start; there are very few ingredients so there 's no where to hide! The balance of flavours was perfect! My husband had the ham hock croquette which was melt in the mouth and was complimented by a delightful caramelised apple sauce. The mains were exquisite! I had bravette of beef (slow cooked with treacle) my husband had duck, both were packed full of flavour and the meat was incredibly tender. My husband had a cheese board and I couldn 't resist the passion fruit cheesecake with mango sorbet for dessert the flavours were sublime! We were then treated to a blood orange sorbet with chocolate 'happy anniversary ' message a perfect finish to a perfect lunch! The bar has an excellent choice of beers/ales and there is an extensive gin menu. We can 't wait to go back and we 're even considering their dine stay package so we can really enjoy ourselves! I highly recommend the Dog at Wingham it 's by far the best food we 've had for a long time!"

"The evening started with a warm and friendly welcome. Delicious cocktails followed they range from the traditional to their house specialities do try the Blackberry Thyme Prosecco. The meal was exceptional the menu is limited due to the dishes being of high quality both in terms of product and labour intensity. Head chef Jonathan Green has recently joined from Tattu and his food is amazing he was a runner up in Master Chef the Professional. All I can say is make that booking now before you can't get in it's not very big, has a great buzz and the food is exquisite."
