"had a nice family dinner with good choices for all including a child and a vegetarian. the two veggie burger options were great, haggis nachos fab and the salmon salad plentiful. the chips were excellent! only slightly left off was the pizza that had a little heavy base for our lust. beautiful clean toilets and covid safe with lots of space between tables. staff efficient and friendly! would definitely return and recommend everyone."

"Lovely atmosphere, warm welcoming staff, great service, lovely food. First time visiting and will definitely be going back again. Good value for money. I'm used to high end establishments but The Fish on The Quay didn't disappoint! Went to celebrate mums birthday. Mum can't tolerate any pepper or hot spices, so the salsa verde with the sea bream was left, however, the rest of the meal was fabulous. I had panko herb-crusted salmon. Again extremely tasty and the accompanying salad was truly fantastic! My son had the classic pizza which was much enjoyed. He is quite difficult to please as has high functioning autism. He also felt really comfortable which is a rarity. I think the friendliness of the staff and the pleasant atmosphere helped him to feel safe. Dessert was equally as tasty and very satisfying. Mum was raving about how tasty the ice cream was which came with her peach clafoutis. My treacle tart was amazing! Fantastic evening which will become one of our happy memories after the pandemic year's."

"We visited on a Sunday lunchtime in early August to celebrate a couple of birthdays. We had booked and were offered a table inside the restaurant (pub? which was all but empty while it was a nice day outside. We asked if we could be seated outside to be able to enjoy the weather and to watch the world go by. We were told very rudely If there 's a table out there then you can eat out there, but you can 't run a tab and you have to order at the bar . We did as we were told, trying to make light of the rudeness. To be fair, it was only one of the staff who had this unfortunate attitude. We ordered drinks at the bar and then our food There 's a 30 minute wait the rude server told us. Dressed Crab, Mussels, and a fish and chips. Turned out there were no mussels left, so we ordered another fish and chips. The food, when it arrive (not as long as 30 minutes was ok, but only ok. My mother 's fish and chips was overdone and dry. Mine was less well cooked, but still rather bland and fish was dry. The whole experience was rather disappointing. We cut our losses and left to eat an ice cream elsewhere. It would hurt any of the staff to crack a smile and perhaps a lesson in manners and customer service wouldn 't go amiss."

"a shade of a cozy caffe with warm, friendly staff and great food and coffee. we loved the harry potter themed decor, butter beer, pumpkin latte, chocolate frogs, bertie botts bohnen, pumpkin pasties. I think that could be only for halloween, but we really loved it."

"Could not book any other time apart from 5pm as was booked up. May as well not have bothered booking a table as when we arrived, said we had a table booked and was told just sit anywhere you like . No names taken, we could have just walked in. What 's the point in having a booking service. Was not full either, so could have had the later time I originally wanted! Bar service very poor, seemed like they could not be bothered and didn 't really want you there! No real atmosphere, or welcoming feeling from the woman behind the bar! Very rowdy 'regular ' crowd. Has a very bad reputation, was told it had gone down hill, am sorry to say that it is true and is only getting worse! What a shame as used to be a lovely pub."

"I have often been asked by visitors where to get some good Irish food for which I usually have no recommendation, however The Sussex ticks all the boxes. We opted for the early bird menu (although the burgers looked amazing). I had the heirloom tomato and mozzarella starter which was so fresh and tasty and my boyfriend had a smoked salmon starter which he thoroughly enjoyed. Both accompanied by some traditional brown bread. For main we tried the chicken supreme and the fish of the day which for me was the star of the show; filet of hake on a bed of gnocchi full of flavour I would highly recommend it! My only criticism is that I would have loved more gnocchi in the dish The atmosphere...read more"

"Our second time at the Wellington Inn! Last time we were there was for my Aunties birthday which was absolutely spectacular and great rooms to stay over. This time we went for a meal in the bar, which is dog friendly. Views there are amazing and the waiting staff are great! Food was pub standard and the puddings were our favourite part of the meal. Great environment overall for a family meal :"

"Absolute find on our staycation.. The food was just Devine, getting the 100% approval from 2 fussy teenagers. We had breakfast there the first day of our staycation and ended up having dinner that evening and breakfast and dinner the following day there it was that good. The breakfast pancakes were a massive hit with the children and the omelettes were just delicious. For dinner the pizza was outstanding, we couldn’t finish it so we brought it back to our hotel later. The bacon and cheese burger was second to none. My husband had the mixed grill and he said it was divine. All the staff were exceptionally efficient, friendly and we felt perfectly safe and protected while dining there. All in all an absolute must if you visit Dublin... you won’t be disappointed."

"It's a converted church and looks amazing inside. The food is good. We had a Classic Burger which looked hand made. They have built a nice external seating area for COVID times which I hope they will keep. Worth a visit."

"They have the Moving Mountains B12 Vegan burger. Really looks, feels and tastes like meat! I'm not vegan but its a great way to cut back on meat. Best Furger (I am coining that now! I've tasted yet at £11.25 with chips and they do 50% off Wednesdays! Make sure to ask for it well done with crispy bacon and blue cheese £13.50+ with Lettuce, tomato, onion and toasted buttered bun. Great staff, very accommodating."
