"Food is good, service is very good. Only negative note is that when I book a table in advance I expect a decent table. I was given one close to the waiters desk, bit uncomfortable, you know the one you are given when you arrive unplanned and they make an effort to accomodate you. There were other tables available but I was said they were booked I booked too..... so overall not happy"

"Busy restaurant and a disappointing start ending up at the worst table in the restaurant beside the hatch where all the dirty dishes are dumped. If booking I would suggest adding a note not to get this table for dinner. 2 steak meals were warm at best and despite being sent back only the plate came back with more heat. One other meal was good and enjoyable. Great server who was helpful and tried to negotiate an adjustment to the bill at the end of the meal which started off with an odd suggestion for a reduction to the overall cost but we got there in the end. No discussion with management, who didn't seem to want to deal with any difficult conversation, but the bill outcome and complimentary round of drinks helped with a disappointing visit. Staff serving tables were great and to be commended for taking on responsibility that would I would have suggested should have been handled by the duty manager."

"This was the best overall experience I've ever had at a Michelin-starred restaurant (although it was only my third). The staff worked seamlessly as a team to ensure that we were taken care of throughout the entire meal. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere was lively, and we felt very comfortable all night. There is no official dress code, but you may feel out of place if you show up in board shorts and a tank top. We each enjoyed a five-course meal (you can choose between 3-6 courses) and a couple of bottles of wine, which came out to about $700CAD and lasted about 2.5 hours. It was definitely worth the experience and the amazing food."

"Worse Mother’s Day ever Where to even start The fact we got seated with no menus or even asked to order a drink Within 30 mins was then asked what we want for desert all before getting a menu or drink Then waited an hour for our first (main) course to come Then after that given a dessert rejected from another table Then also not given cutlery again. So waited 30 mins for cutlery When said something to the waitress all she said was sorry I personally had to take it back to the kitchen and ask for another one as was melted and not with anyone elses order After another 30 mins then received everyone’s deserts Then they messed up the bill and added someone else’s coffees on the bill and still tried to add service charge. After receiving the worse service I have ever had Complete shame as the food was actually lovely Will not be back and won’t be recommending"

"Due to being delayed in the Apple store we were very late arriving for our table (1 hour). I did phone ahead but we were unaware how long we’d be so were not hopeful of getting a table. When we arrived the restaurant greeter and indeed the manageress could not have been more pleasant and helpful, and despite the restaurant being packed, we were allocated a table. Our server immediately introduced himself and contributed to making our evening an immense success. His personality was infectious and his knowledge of the menu extensive. The food was sublime and all in all the experience was amazing. Thank you to everybody and we will definitely be back very soon. Love Frances and Steven Bradwell x"

"First and foremost, the service was excellent! Our server was funny, friendly and attentive, really can't fault her at all! The food was decent. We started with the seafood platter and all was very tasty though a little sparse for the price. Would suit 2 or 3 people, but for 4 it isn't a lot. The fish and chips was met with approval, so was the seabream on specials. The roasted cod dish was very nice though perhaps a little fussy? Could probably do with one less ingredient as the fish drowned in the other tastes, but it was nice and the fish very well made. The ambience gets a downgrade as there were a table of influencers in the middle of the room with a great big portable spotlight (to better light the food they weren't eating until it went cold??? which was highly distracting together with their constant photographing. I wish the restaurant hadn't put them right in the middle of the restaurant, it was annoying. Other than that, the restaurant was lovely and does warrant a return visit!"

"The produce was excellent, and the location is charming, but the service was slow and subpar. For instance, they forgot to bring cutlery with our meals and brought a dessert with whipped cream when I had specifically requested a dairy-free option. The owner became increasingly intoxicated as the evening progressed and was rude to the staff in front of customers. Additionally, the stairs to the bathroom were unlit, which posed a safety risk. I wouldn't recommend this place."

"Service was awful, keep asking are we ready to order every minute we didn’t have time to go through the menu. Was not helpful with questions, the waiter was not happy with answering question about the menu items, when we asked the waiter for recommendations and he said everything. The second time we told him we need some more time on the menu, he rolled his eyes and walked away. Finally when we are ready to order, he told us to our face “thanks God that took you two hours”. We arrived the restaurant at 6:35, waited a bit to be seated and we ordered at 6:50 we did not take a long time to order. Worst hospitality ever the aggression is unnecessary. Food was average could’ve used some recommendations if the waiter was professional and willing to explain the menu a bit more. Overall just avoid this place at all costs, you can find better seafood restaurant in Brighton."

"The whitebait starter was slightly fishy and had far too much coating on them. The scallops were ok, but what little flavour they had was somewhat masked by the mashed potato. The Dover Sole was over-cooked, which is a crime for the most expendive fish on the menu. The lobster thermador was ok. We had to ask for cutlery. A big disappointment."

"North African cuisine so good your mother in-law will love it and so will your wedding guests! I accidently discovered this little gem while on a stroll in Chiswick in 2006 and the food, amazing staff and the wonderful cheeky chap that runs the place,Chris, have always made it a worthwhile evening. As a Native North African, it was always hard to find restaurant food that comes close to home cooked cuisine from back home; Azou with it's cozy ambiance serves up dishes with the love of a homecooked meal coupled with the refined delicate flavours of a Michelin star restaurant. I have always enjoyed every meal at Azou, I even took my Mrs on a date there and she liked it so much she took her mom (a North African lady who refuses to eat anything from outside) and she loved it so much we ended up having our wedding dinner here. The food was great (as always) but beyond feeding the hungry guests, we want to thank Chris and his team for helping create one of our most cherished memories. We will be back as always."

"not many restaurants were open on Christmas. we found this restaurant on open table and it was a pass of richmond. we loved the cozy atmosphere. it was the perfect intimate Christmas dinner. the owner/host was absolutely delightful. the service and the hospitality were excellent. the food was beautifully presented and was delicious. try the homemade focaccia. it was a great value and 100% delightful."

My only complaint is that I asked to book a table for 9:30PM, but was told they only had availability for 9PM. When we arrived, the restaurant was quiet and there were plenty of empty tables. "Wow, where should I start? the tasting menu was a fantastic culinary experience that was certainly worth the celebration of our jubilee. the courts have in their excellence...every seemingly better than the last, despite the early courses wonderful in their own right. each was a perfectly balanced creation, blending of aromen and textures to perfection. to mention some specialties (see the photos below to see how each dish was presented) the heke was simple, but overwhelmingly delicious when with the smoked raw and butter sauce. the lamb was probably my personal favorit, working with the overlapping aromes of the various cuts of lamb, carrot and tweeting together soou well. the direction continued in the desserts. especially the chocolate, the miserable, the sesame creation... very good. every cure, while a perfect combination tasteful, was also built and presented kreatiw...and the result was definitiw the wall worth in the kitchen. we also had the paired weepings that were all very painfully thought out and served further improved dishes. The theodora from Austria, which would not have been our first choice for your own drink, was perfectly complicated with confit kohlrabi. complete good for the team to get the wein pairs right. that was as good as it gets. the service was perfect. the place small, but as a result, somehow intimate. I wouldn't hesitate to go back, but it's not cheap. so it will only be for special occasions. the simplest 5-star rating I gave in the old one."
