"Googled closest Indian restaurant to Manchester Airport as were were picking relatives up. The Cinnamon Tree came out nearest. Booked a table online. Was very pleased with the food which was lovely. Good sized portions. Thought it was quite expensive though compared to our local Indian restaurant which is in a nicer setting and has nicer decor. The Cinnamon Tree would benefit from an update particularly the upstairs toiled facilities. Nice friendly Staff however and would go again if the occasion arose."

"For me, there was a great selection of savory options, including not just sandwiches, but also wraps with various fillings that were a nice departure from the usual offerings. The cakes were absolutely delicious, and the portions were the largest I've ever seen, warm to the touch. Since it was Easter, there were some lovely extra touches for the children. My daughter had her face painted by a talented artist who was stationed nearby and created a beautiful flower design while engaging in friendly conversation with my 9-year-old. We also had a visit from the Easter Bunny, who handed out Easter eggs. Our waitress, whose name I unfortunately didn't catch, was very attentive and accommodating, ensuring that nothing was too much trouble. The staff at Quart Pot are always friendly, and every experience I’ve had there has been pleasant. Well done!"

"The portions at El Pastor were a bit on the small side, but the prices were very reasonable, and the flavors were delightful. While they don’t offer a gluten-free menu, they do provide a handout indicating which items contain gluten (so it’s somewhat similar). If you’re celiac, there are only two types of tacos available for you. However, there were still a decent number of options overall. They also asked about allergies when I placed my order. It’s a nice spot to grab a bite before heading to a show."

"Visited on a Tuesday evening. The food was beyond dry like it was left overs from the weekend. For starters we had burnt end. They were more like lumps of charcoal. I get there burnt end these were incinerated. For mains we had the brisket, again really really dry. It was a struggle to eat it. The chips were the only nice part.No one checked on us while eating. Then when paying the bill when asked how it was we say it was ok ish no follow up to this by staff member. Couldn't be bothered to argue as my partner and I were beyond disappointed. We just wanted to get home as we had travelled to visit on glowing reviews. Will not be revisiting any time in the future."

"my eating was great, the starter was nothing special, but the steak was amazingly soft without chew or fat bits, even if the garnels were a bit burned, so I would say it was a great meal. However, the person I had ordered the same got quite nothing but fat and chewing bits with her steak, so I would say that it is a bit of a hit and miss when it comes to the quality of the food here. but the staff was very friendly and understanding. they even gave us a ticket for a free meal at the next visit and free desserts. so everything in all cannot try too much in any case at least."

"On this occasion, a mixed experience. Met friends at 5pm for drinks. Table already booked for 8pm to dine. Bar busy, tables full of dirty glasses. We were invited to share a long table with another party. I made two trips to the bar with about sixteen empty glasses to make space for new drinks. Great to see the place so busy as it's our only local. My husband and his mates are regulars every Friday night, often on other days too. Unfortunately on this particular visit there was no draught beer or cold white wine. The reason for no hand-pulled beer was “The manager is cleaning the lines”. Yes really!!! Tea-time on December 29th whilst the pub and restaurant were heaving… It gets better!!! “The manager was still cleaning the lines over one hour later”. My husband and his friends drank Guinness, not their drink of choice but they are forgiving chaps. Apparently Howard who had arrived before us ordered a pint of cask beer and when he expressed his dismay at the timing of the line-cleaning was told, “if you don’t like it you can go somewhere else”. When I found my Chardonnay to be quite warm, I went to the bar and asked the barman if there was any “cold” white wine, he mauled my glass and said “it’s been in the fridge”, I replied “but it’s not cold”, he offered to put some ice in it. I didn’t want ice in my wine, it’s supposed to be served nicely chilled without the need for ice to water it down. To my surprise the barman offered to sell me a whole bottle of wine (presumably with a bucket of ice). I opted for ice and a dash of soda in my warm wine. Thinking ahead I asked if there were any other bottles of Chardonnay in the fridge so that I might have a glass of my favourite wine with a meal later on. The barman could offer no assurance, to be fair he seemed a little out of his depth, some further training will resolve this in the future. I attempted to discuss my experience with Johnny the restaurant manager when he came to our table later in the evening, he was uninterested, unapologetic and simply said, “We’ve been busy”. The food was ok, not fine dining but enjoyable and served to a good standard as we’ve come to expect from the Broughton Inn. I still feel disappointed by the shoddy attitude of certain staff members that evening. In the absence of an alternative within walking distance from our homes we will continue to spend our money there but with less enthusiasm than before. My current opinion of the management remains low."

"Burger was very expensive considering it was overworked, probably used a burger press to make it since the meat was dense and rubbery. The onion rings on the burger didn't have the film removed so were chewy instead of having a nice bite and there was only one sad and floppy piece of bacon on it. Chilli cheese fries were decent however the fries were too thin and not crisp enough to hold up to the chilli so were soggy and floppy as soon as they reached the table. Usually I wouldn't rate this badly but the price is unacceptable for what seems to be very inexperienced chefs producing sub-par meals. Had the burgers been £8-9 each or included fries it would be a different story but burgers and fries costing me an arm and a leg then being below average is not ok. The waitress however was lovely, she was very good at answering questions about the food and was well mannered. She also served us promptly and made sure to only check in with us on the quality of the meal when we weren't in the middle of eating. Overall well the service was excellent the food was an extreme let down. Especially for such a well reviewed place. I wouldn't suggest anyone go here and instead would suggest to go to a similarly priced place such as bucks bar or thundercat which serve better American styled food at around the same price point."

"I thought the food was really good, we had a platter and the burgers were lovely as was the mac and cheese and fried chicken. We also ordered onion rings as a side and they were the best onion rings I’ve had in ages, not greasy at all. However, was a bit disappointed to sit downstairs right near a DJ particularly in the dark. It wasnt an ideal restaurant setting. It was too noisey and we could barely see the food and this is coming from a bunch of people in their 30s on a night out (maybe we are old now! . We tried asking for extra drinks at our table and that didn’t happen. Had to go to the bar upstairs to get them in the end. They lost out on money there as probs would have spent more had staff been more attentive. The downstairs is confused between restaurant and bar lounge. If I come back (which I would for the food , I’ll insist I’m seated upstairs next time!"

"A lovely place to sit at side of riverbank especially on a warm sunny day, have enjoyed lunch, an afternoon tea with Scone and coffee or a cool refreshment there in the past but give 5 stars for Service given today with brunch takeaway, the quayside tables were full but there is a few benches to sit on in cobbled area near cafe, lovely kindness shown in carrying the takeaway to a bench Vegetarian options: Offer vegetarian savoury Bakes and Quiches, ie cheese broccoli potato Parking: There is parking on quayside Kid-friendliness: Seating under parasols outside at side of river so parental control necessary with younger children Wheelchair accessibility: From parking area there is a pathway leading to cafe (which is below the Old Bridge) an area of cobbles when you leave path Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Scones, Coffee Cake, Pot of Tea Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking"

"OMG!! Where do I start!! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the beautiful Paige who was an absolute dream soo friendly and the service from her was 5star We both ordered the beer battered fish and chips and we both agreed was the best we have ever tasted Beautifully presented and the taste was sensational Then of course we couldn’t resist a pud so we opted for the honey pot Can I just say this was Michelin star The presentation was unreal and we were both in heaven from the very first bite!! I asked Paige if I could speak to the manager as we were both in awe of everything Paul the assistant manager came over what a lovely guy a credit to this establishment We will be back by far the best meal we have ever had Thank you to Lee (head chef) for producing amazing food and of course the beautiful Paige and lovely Paul for the service This is a really special place and we will be back Big pat on the back to the wonderful staff You are amazing!! "Came here on Saturday for the first time with a reservation for four. Ambience was nice, a typical English pub really. Unfortunately we waited for nearly 15 minutes to be seated as there were only two front of house workers, both very busy taking orders and making teas and coffee, for a busy Saturday afternoon two front of house workers did not seem enough. The food took over an hour to arrive, which is very poor. The fish and chips initially came out without tartare sauce and we had to ask. All of this somewhat redeemed by the food being very good. Waitress (Holly I believe) was good too. All in all, a bit of a mixed bag but would try again, although I would expect far improved turnaround times on food."

"Wish I had read reviews before having food from here. Looked ok on entry but after I’d ordered and was waiting looking round I realised what s dirty hole this is. Staff looked scruffy. Dirty counter and surroundings. If I hadn’t have already payed I’d have walked out. Got my food and tbh it went straight in the bin. Made me feel sick while I was in there. Really needs a shake up or shutting down. Filthy place"

"As it‘s been said, there is a separate vegan menu available with quite a lot of options for a „normal“ restaurant (3 starters, 5 mains and 3 desserts). We had the Winter Salad, Soup of the day (a separate vegan one with parsnip and apple), the Tomato Tarte and the Wrap with relish. Everything was delicious and very fresh. For dessert, we ordered a (warm) slice of apple pie, which was excellent as well. Highly recommend this place!"

"Receptionist Couldn’t fine our Open Table booking, but they had plenty of tables available so not a problem, but might have been had they been busy. We chose the Sunday roast beef. Cabbage was a little on the cool side. Beef was quite fatty and fairly tough, considering that it was 28 day aged. Roast potatoes were very good, as were the parsnips and carrots Soft drinks expensive small lemonade and lime £2.45) Overall value fair."

"Decent food but they always take absolutely ages to deliver. Tonight was a record where after waiting over 2 hours for my food, I rang them and asked them where it was. They told me it was on its way. Fifteen minutes later they rang me back and said they can't make it because there is no driver. IT TOOK THEM 140 MINUTES, AFTER I ORDERED, TO DECIDE THEY DIDN'T HAVE A DRIVER! Won't be ordering from these absolute clowns again, suggest you save yourself the hassle too. Not only are they incompetent, they are liars too."

"What a difference a couple of days can make! The food was just as delicious as during our first visit, but the service was a different story. It's been a long time since we've encountered such a long list of service issues, from the moment we arrived right through to the difficulties we faced when it came time to pay the bill—it was truly appalling. Our friends even wondered why we had chosen Balloch House for this dining experience, despite the high quality of the food."

"Nice theme inside restaurant the staff are very friendly. We ordered a sharing platter the Food was good but when it came to the mains we were disappointed. The hainese chicken rice was tasteless the rice was a little hard not enough water when cooking it the portion of chicken was a speck to my eye very little. This is not how hainese chicken is served nor the taste. The legendary ksg was horrible the chicken was tasteless. The Pad Thai was the same the meat didn't taste good. I wouldn't say this was authentic."

"I really can't explain how good this restaurant is. I and my friend go here at least once in the week because the rams are so addicted. almost all nets can be made on request vegan and they are very courteous and friendly. in some restaurants I feel vegan judged by the workers for the demand for traditional meaty/fisheries, but they are so beautiful and understanding here. it is so good that when I and my friend go to eat and our meals to any other, we use this restaurant as a comparative point as it is always 10/10. we were about 20 times and every time we're lost for a worte. also amazing prices, we get a raming huge bowl to share and 8 pieces sushi each time and it comes to £18-20. I can't believe in how much I encourage you to go! I have no criticism."
