"The restaurant offers a fantastic atmosphere paired with excellent service. Price per person is between £30 and £40. I would rate the food a solid 5, the service also gets a 5, and the atmosphere is equally deserving of a 5. I highly recommend trying the English Breakfast!"

"Amazing experience such a lovely waitress called Laura, very friendly, bought drinks promptly without having to wait. I had the mushroom hallumi burger with chips. There was 5 of us and we manged 58 drinks between us and a bottle of prosecco at the end ...well worth the money for £35. We booked at 5pm-7pm so we're ready to start our night out on the town. "We were seated at 12:20 for our 12:30 reservation and had the table until 2:00. Since we were really hungry, we ordered immediately, but our food didn’t arrive until 1:30. The drinks also took a long time, and we had to keep asking for updates. The waitress's customer service wasn't very good; although it was clear she was busy, she came across as rude."

"When arriving there is nowhere to say you need to go upstairs for your booking. There were no staff to be seen we just chanced it going upstairs after standing waiting to find someone for 10 minutes. We then waited over an hour for food yet everyone who came in after us we’re served within 20 minutes and even left.. When we asked about where the food was we were asked what we ordered so we said a platter about and 10 minutes later we were bought the wrong one. When I explained this they asked if I had a receipt which I didn’t just the notification on my Apple Pay as they didn’t give me one. I was asked to go to the bar to explain the situation to the person I ordered with who printed the receipt to prove I’d ordered. I had to explain the situation about 5 times to another staff member then the chef and finally the manager. No one actually offered a solution I was just told the kitchen never received the order so I asked can we have the right thing so they said yes yet nothing else was to be offered by them so I said we’ve waited over an hour we’re starving, going to be late is there nothing else you can do they agreed to a drink each but it was awkward to even have had to asked."

"Borderline pathetic, easy one star, it should be noted they did comp a round of drinks but they couldnt be bothered to garnish the cocktails as per previous drinks. Starters turned up after mains, wrong mains turned up, mains delivered shockingly incomplete, dishes delivered 30mins apart, completely disinterested staff, the manager and staff are woefully out of their depth and lets not pretend that this is a high end restaurant, its a knock off wetherspoons and it cant even do that properly. It was a comedy parody of what a pub restaurant should be, except no-one was laughing. Food was so poor, nothing like as described or photographed on the menu. Steak was overcooked, but somehow also cold, suggesting it sat there for a long time before being delivered to table. Merry burgers delivered without stuffing or without pigs in blankets. Chicken delivered without chips, etc (seriously the plate was 25% full how on earth they thought it was ready to go to table is abysmal). Barely a working salt or pepper shaker in the entire establishment. Place only a third full maximum so no excuses. Decor is actually nice, seats are comfortable, do NOT be conned into a false sense of security, avoid with prejudice."

I believe she deserves a raise for her outstanding service. She was always bustling about with a big smile on her face. Tamara was another bright spot during our visit. Together, these two employees made our experience enjoyable and memorable. Thank you both!"

"We visited slug and lettuce for a bottomless brunch and we were not dissapointed. We were served by Alex who was very attentive and made sure we had the drinks we wanted when we wanted, and made sure the overall experience was amazing. We will definitely be visiting again thanks to him!!"

"My friend and I met at Canary Wharf for our first get together for months and we wandered into the Slug Lettuce to ask if they could do us a snack and a drink and they couldn't have been more helpful, especially when we asked if we could move away from an open door as it had gone rather chilly! Shannon looked after us very well with some helpful suggestions and our food and drinks arrived quite promptly. We sat and chatted and felt very comfortable there. Nice and clean, plenty of space between the tables and the background music was nice and low so we could hear ourselves speak."

"We came to the restaurant to celebrate my friend's birthday and taste American food. I was most looking for food from the smoker, and the beef briquettes were not disappointed. The bet was also very nice. We had the fudge cake and the New York cheese cake for the desert and really enjoyed it. The service was excellent."

"I had a bad experience using this app to book a table at this restaurant. I made a reservation for January 18, 2020, but when I arrived, my name was not on the list. The staff tried to help, but there seemed to be a glitch with the app that prevented my booking from going through. I received a confirmation email for my reservation, but it still did not work. I would advise others to be cautious when booking this restaurant through this app until they address this issue."

"Then, a man named Dan approached us and rudely placed a 'reserved' sign on our table, saying, "We need this table at 4 PM." When I pointed out we had about 50 minutes left, he responded in a rather condescending manner. I assured him that if we had our food by then, it wouldn't be a problem since we planned to eat and leave, not stay for drinks. Meanwhile, I noticed that a similarly sized table next to us was reserved for 3:30 PM and decorated with Pride accessories. At 3:45 PM, a female waitress approached our table and insisted that we needed to leave. I explained that we had ordered food that hadn’t arrived yet and were still enjoying our drinks. Dan returned, still with an unpleasant attitude, and reiterated that they needed our table due to a booking. I informed him that we were not leaving because we were still waiting for our food. He continued to be rude, asking me what he was supposed to do about the booking. I pointed out that we had already ordered food and that it wasn't our fault if they hadn’t managed their reservations properly; you can’t just slap a reserved sign on a table and expect us to leave. He then told me, "I'll refund your food order," which was completely unacceptable. The entire exchange was uncomfortable, with my daughter witnessing the rude behavior and false statements from Dan, such as him claiming that "upstairs is for bookings only," which was simply not true. I suggested that they could seat the reservation at the table next to us that was still unoccupied, even though it was past the booking time. After walking away, he soon returned to request the reservation card, which I passed to him. He then replaced the reservation card at the next table with our 4 PM booking card. It was that simple. This whole altercation was unnecessary and really put a damper on what was meant to be a celebratory day for me and my daughter. I genuinely believe that Dan needs additional training on handling reservations and understanding that paying customers have the right to occupy a table until their food has been served. We shouldn't have to endure such a hostile experience."
