A delightful treat, crispy on the outside, cool vanilla ice cream on the inside, drizzled with chocolate and topped with cherries.

"Visited KGH on Saturday night. Was not that busy despite party going on in the back. Food was tasty and cook to perfection. The desert was amazing, fried ice cream and Churros. Would certainly recommend. Great service and very friendly staff. Would definitely go back."

"My partner and I recently moved near here and we’ve been scoping out some fun new local spots the past few weeks..This place seemed to always be packed so we assumed something good was happening inside and decided to check it out for ourselves—and I’m so glad we did! Without a booking we managed to get a table on a Friday evening, which we weren’t completely expecting. Once sat our waitress Sai offered some amazing suggestions for starters; the spicy Thai beef salad (steak was seasoned incredibly well and the dressing is both delicious and truly spicy and the minced prawn/pork dumplings which were so good—will be reordering both. For entrees we had the BBQ duck with sticky rice and a prawn pad Thai which were delicious. If you go, we’ve also heard great things (and Sai confirmed this that the drunken noodle is very good and I’ll be looking to update this review as soon as I can confirm ; Overall our experience at Thai Garden was a fabulous one. Everyone inside was lovely, the staff and also the other customers…which is a weird thing to comment on I realize but you get a real sense being here that most people who come in are regulars and it makes the whole experience just a bit more warm. Can’t wait to go back"

"Found this place open on Tuesday night on way home through Magherafelt. I am disabled with bad knees and this place is upstairs Seems like part of the local pub lounge now leased out. I was quickly shown a seat and a young female came to take my order. I asked if they were licensed to which the young girl said do you wand a drink. I had to explain that is what licensed means. I thought it was funny and ordered a bottle of Magners to wash down the meal. I was surprised to see they do a mid week 3 course special at £18.95. So I got a smoked chicken starter. Some shredded chicken in a syrup sauce with possibly honey chill flavour. It was different but nice and good portion size. I went for beef curry with fried rice mains. Came quickly and was smooth, peppery caramel like spicy curry sauce. Just nice with plenty onions, peas and soft beef slices. Very good. I ordered deep fried ice cream. Rely nice. Large ball of ice-cream covered in coconut batter coating. I also ordered a separate coffee. All very good. Bill was £26.50. Medium cider cost a stiff six pounds. Staff were nice and there was a restaurant manager, a local man who was very attentive and efficient. Access via steep enough stairs was a draw back but value and food were excellent. Recommended."

"**Takeout Meal Type:** Dinner **Price per Person:** £10–£20 **Food Rating:** 5/5 **Service Rating:** 4/5 **Atmosphere Rating:** 3/5 **Recommended Dishes:** Crispy Duck with Pancakes, Chow Mein I highly recommend trying the Crispy Duck with Pancakes and the Chow Mein. The food was exceptional, earning a perfect score. The service was quite good as well, although there is room for improvement. The atmosphere was average, but the quality of the meal more than makes up for it. Overall, a great dining experience!"

"We have recently tried a variation in takeaways , so tried the usual. Indian food from usual place can only be described as poor. So for a special night, we ordered from The Thai Gardens. I have described the food as 5 star as our expectations were surpassed . Friends who are used to other Hereford Thai 's have been converted. They, and I will now be loyal customers without the need to try elsewhere, as elsewhere is not as good. To coin a modern parlience that has been in the news recently, SIMPLY THE BEST"

"Stopped here for a quick bite in the evening whilst passing through. Limited menu, I had pie and chips. It was hot and tasty so no complaints. I sat at a small corner table and when I went to put my bag on the floor my elbow got caught up in a whole nest of cobwebs that ran floor to ceiling. Moved to a different table and when I looked at the carpet it was glistening with slug slime! Yes you read that right!! Trails and trails of slug slime all over the carpet. I went to put my bag on the chair next to me. The chairs are covered with faded pink felt like fabric that would have been all the rage in the 70s but it was thick with long hairs all trapped in the fabric. The window sills were covered with dead flies. The bar man am I allowed to say man in these politically correct times?? The bar person server was however very friendly, welcoming and polite. Very depressing place, definitely needs a clean and makeover."

"do not leave the inconceivable outside villages they serve this restaurant delicious and authentic Thai food. the masseurin curry was excellent, it was creamy and tasteful, and very favorable at (like most other curry and nudel dishes). to dessert I tried the cocos milk with muted banana and sesame seeds, and she was divine. it is the perfect dessert as it does not overly sweet or fill. they also sell glasses of homemade pad Thai sauce for and I would highly recommend it, it is so good!"

"We called in having no idea what was awaiting us and were warmly greeted by the servers and shown to a pleasant table by the window. We were encouraged to see that the restaurant was quite busy for a Tuesday and many of the patrons...appeared to be of Japanese origin. We were quickly asked what we wanted to drink and our chosen beverages arrived very quickly. We were able to study the extensive menu in peace but when asked if we were ready to order the waitress provided guidance and advice. The food arrived beautifully presented, piping hot and in vast quantities! Everything we ordered was delicious and we swapped small amounts as we all thought we'd made the best choice and wanted to show off to the others! The puddings were equally incredible with tempura battered deep fried ice cream a complete revelation! It tasted like ice cream filled donuts!"

"The first place we visited on our way from the mall to Did Modern on Jubilee Day wasn’t overly busy, which made us a bit skeptical at first. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very helpful, and there was a nice variety of drinks available. While some menu items were out of stock, there was still a large selection to choose from, and the food did not disappoint. We would definitely come back again!"

"We were in Clacton for the weekend and found this place via Tripadvisor. The reviews weren't wrong. We were struggling to choose because the choices looked so good so we decided to go for the 3-course set menu. It began with a beuatifully presented selection of Thai starters, of which the chicken skewer was the star, but it's probably the best prawn toast I've had. The mains were chicken, beef and vegetables with superbly cooked jasmine rice. Then a very nice ice cream for dessert. Lovely service too, very friendly. Under £35 a head including drinks. It was quite busy and there was a steady stream of takeaway orders being picked up too. I'm not surprised."

"Not the best Japanese food but it tasted good and was presented nicely Otherwise this was a pretty bad experience. A real disappointment because we had visited a few times before and enjoyed ourselves. Loud modern music was playing but they did turn it down when asked. The waitress didn't really seem to know what she was doing. We ordered starters and mains and it all came out at once. There were 5 of us. The kitchen staff must take some responsibility for this but it appears that their minds were not fully on the job. My daughter asked for her main dish to be kept warm. I asked the waitress to bring my main out later as the table was full and there was nowhere to put the food. My granddaughter had burger and chips but was given no cutlery. She got it when she asked. No green tea, although it was on the menu. The carafe of cold water was fine. The toilet was out of order so two of us had to go and find a business that would let them use a toilet. I don't know what had happened to my main course but it hadn't arrived by the time everyone else had finished their meals. Eventually, I took it away as a take out. I would advise you to avoid this restaurant. You would do better with a takeaway."
"The Santhai at Escrick is definately on the up again. A new chef has added a wow factor to the already tasty menu. I have over the years worked my way through the whole menu. My favourites starter is Si Oua (spicy sausage) it is hot and delicated flavoured all at the same time. Kradoog Moo Tod (spare ribs) are the most melt in the mouth ever. Slow cooked to perfection.I think having tried most of the main courses now, but still come back to the Gaeng Keowan Gai(green chicken curry) although not for the squeamish Poo Pat Pong Galee(crab with celery) sounds boring, but has such depth of flavour and texture and is also such great fun to eat. They now have a wider range of desserts but I generally struggle to leave room. Woon Gati(coconut jelly custard) are an intersting palate cleanser. The wine list is well sourced and as I not of the old fashioned opinion that thai food should be accompanied by beer I have been more than happy to order Pinot Noir to go with hot red curries and Sparkling to go with anything hot!.I just love this place and will keep returning again and again bringing my friends."

"Discovered this place during a wonder around Seven Dials and it looked very cosy and delicious. We ordered numerous dishes including the Takoyaki and Sukiyaki Don. The dishes were incredibly appealing visually, but a little overpriced. The portion sizes were very generous but flavour wise, a little basic. The beef meat in the Sukiyaki Don was very tough and not as tender as you’d expect. The seaweed around the spicy tuna rolls were chewy, which makes me think that they were not fresh. In regards to the cleanliness of the restaurant, it was up to standard. Minor sticky tables but all in all, pretty clean. The atmosphere was very homey and welcoming. The staff were friendly and attentive."

"the food was really delicious, but on the bottom it was not spicy enough! I ordered the spicy noodle soup and it was only spiced! we also ordered the pork dish that had a very realistic texture and delicious sauce. and the taste and texture of the salt and chili tofu was quite good. were much big. my main criticism would be that the prices of the courts are quite high. especially the supplements £9 for some fried vegetables!? it has me from the ordering of extras that was a scandal as I would have loved to try them. the ambiente des ortes was nicely cozy and cute. it was really busy (both with hipsters and Vietnamese people) which is obviously a good sign. would definitely visit again, but could try other options first based on the price question."

"Very disappointing. Very very disappointing. I have eaten at this restaurant before but after eating there last week I will never go again. I ordered a panang chicken curry, the quality of the meat was poor, the sauce was thin and watery, the rice overcooked and my friends meal was supposed to have seafood in it and there were about 3 bits of seafood which were overcooked and it tasted of nothing. I am a big fan of Thai food and therefore was very disappointed with the quality of the food. We complained and got nowhere, they couldn't of cared less. The restaurant was busy so I think that they have just got to the stage where they are just serving in volume and not worrying about quality...read more"

"a little late writing this one (august stay). The interior is dated and worn in places, BUT clean ! I had to wait quite a while for host to show up i think this was more about covid protocols and not their normal way of doing business. but be aware they are not always onsite. Basic hot pot with coffee and tea options. Room was small size, bed ok. Old furniture but everything was very clean and well maintained. I reserved ensuite but room wasn 't working or something, so bathroom for room i was given was down the hall at the opposite end of room. Breakfast was a 'challenge . on site restaurant was closed. hours for local options were all wrong not BnB fault, but take that into consideration if onsite meal is important. there is restaurant across the street but buffet is major part of meal service (no thank you during covid) or fried fish or very over cooked hamburger. Bathroom was clean, well appointed shower only. Lighting in room was ok hard to use desk because it was stuffed between bed and wall, so i ended up sitting on bed to use natural light from window. Room was not what i reserved some issue with the one i reserved so i will chalk that up to maintenance. Nothing bad but nothing over the top awesome either. It is clean and basic. Very expensive for a basic room. You are 15 mins walk to the ferry which was why i picked this location. There is a grocery store about 5 mins walk down the road. Plenty of places in town to eat but make your reservation for dinner (WEEKS) before you travel. there is no walk in during covid even though window signs say it is okay it just doesn 't work. Rooms: 2 Service: 3 Location: 5"

"Disappointing food and awful service. We had starters of pork rib and chicken satay. Both were from prepared vacuum packs. Odd shapes and consistency. The peanut sauce was peanut butter from a jar. The Pad Thai was served without coriander or lime. When we asked the waitress she declared that that how it was served here. We pointed out that the menu listed both as ingredients and she then said no one else had ever complained. We had to gently insist that she went to the kitchen and asked . We then received a small saucer with fresh coriander and lime. All done without any apology and or grace. The king prawns were small and one of the servings had a far amount of soya too. Doubt we’ll be going again."

"The doner kebab was the highlight of our meal, and we appreciated that it was served on an open plate, making it easy to share. The vegan pork belly with apple sauce and the chi kin in hot sauce were both flavorful, but the seitan texture wasn’t the best we’ve experienced. As for the fried ice cream, it caught me off guard; I expected a hard, fried shell that you crack open to reveal half-melted ice cream inside, like the ones I used to eat before going vegan. Instead, it was served cold with a very thin coating, so it didn’t seem like it had been fried at all. Overall, I would give this restaurant 3.5 stars."
