"We got to the restaurant and the young lady first advised us we were at the wrong place, she told us that we had come to Southall Road and not South Road, She was incorrect anyway after sorting that out she said we had no booking even though I had an email confirmation. She then told us it was ok as they had spare tables. We have historically come here a lot and the staff are normally great. but have to say the staff did not have a clue and made the experience a little poor. Drinks took to long to come and when they did they came one at a time. I would come back but I'm hoping the current staff are not. Also you cannot place a charitable contribution to peoples bill without asking. Its not the quantum but the principle"

"I visited three little birds last week, and it was a great experience. from a fast and easy booking until when I arrived, took my order and made me feel comfortable when I waited for my friend to come. we were not sure what to order, but we asked our waiter who proposed the special that was sweet potato croquettes. the ambiente was perfect, music in the background as well as dimly illuminated candles and tables socially distanced so that they can now feel safe in the current covid19 pandemic, on which came the codfish butter with a beautiful sweet chili sauce, which was extremely beautiful. it complicated it well because the calamari was also simply perfectly cooked with an outer layer of broth crumbs. Finally, and above all, the dessert (not depicted as we had not time to take a picture of it) was divine. strawberry cake with lime/sorrell was the highlight. it ended what was a perfect start with a friend, not seen for 5 months. I can not recommend manuel and three little birds in brixton, I went away feeling nourished and so satisfied by the service and taste."

"I absolutely adore the Bombay Chilli Mock Chicken made spicy, it’s INCREDIBLE. The popcorn cauliflower is also very delicious with incredible and intense flavor coming from the dip. I always order these two items. On this occasion I also ordered the spicy fried vegetables, but I honestly felt these were very similar in flavor to the chili mock chicken. It was really hard to discern the difference between the two. Moreover, I couldn’t tell where the vegetables were because it seemed like more of a mock meat dish. Finally, during this visit we ordered the Momo and we hated it. So, I would not recommend ordering that. In general the food is usually delicious here. Be sure to ask for the separate vegan menu. "Have been going to Tabla since 2011 and the owner, Praveen and the staff members are very warm and nice….the food is still good. However on my recent visit, 26/12/2023. I showed up with my lad at 5:15pm and asked if there was a set menu. The waiter gladly handed me the Festive Set Menu that had a fixed price deal for appetizer, starters and mains. I made my choices of the Festive Menu and my lad went for the regular A la Carte. Satisfied with the food and service by the waiter at the table, as we were in a bit of rush, we walked over to the counter to settle the Bill. To my surprise I noticed that the Bill did not correspond to the Festive Menu deal. When questioned the gentleman behind the counter (I suppose the duty manager) said the deal only applies between 4pm to 6pm. Granted that we walked in at 5:15pm and dined up to 6:30pm.But the fact that I was presented with the set menu and expected the price to correspond to the set menu and not being notified until the time of settling the bill did put me off. Besides the place was not busy and we were not holding up any would-be diners for the evening either. In any case I settled the Bill but was not impressed with Duty manager’s response."

"Was lucky to have tickets for one of their tiny gigs in the back room so decided to make a night of it with dinner and drinks too. First time there and first trying vegan food but it definitely won’t be the last! Staff were so friendly and helped us with the menu which is made up of small dishes. Absolutely delicious food, really unusual dishes and good range of drinks to go with it. The place itself is really quirky, lots to look at and the cakes look fab too. "This is a genuine Guyanese restaurant. The owner Andrew is friendly . The food is fantastic. We had patties , pilouri , chow mein , goat and lamb curry , saltfish and bake and rice . The food is amazing , tasty , good portions and very excellent. The premises were clean and good sized . Plenty of room . If only there was more on the menu . We loved it . Fantastic. Thanks"
