"Bad service, waited min just for starters, the all restaurant was very smoky, the main dishes take long to arrive and were burn, the taste was awful! Rarely had any check backs to our table. Called the manager and he just offer another meal, what I refused do to the time I ben there just waiting for food, and expected for an apology and some discount, but never happen! I'm not a person that likes to complain, so I just left without a fuzz, but really unhappy! Never I will be back again!"

"UPDATE!!! I want to update my review about this place, I went there today and get refund and chicken curry with egg fried rice. I think that really nice from the owners. I want to recommend this place to everyone, other day I get a chicken chow mein which was very nice and big portion also. Curry chicken with egg fried rice was also very good ! They are using fancy pachages as well. I will come back to this place every time! Be carefull about this place. I just was there to order a Chicken Curry and Egg fried rice. Woman on the till said to me that will be 10.90£ so i paid for it collect my order and went home. I saw a portion of curry and a quality of both of them I checked a prices. I suppose to pay 8.40£. They overcharge me 2.50£ be really careful and ask for receipt every time! Never come back there again"

"Best beer in Aberdeen. Lacks food but order in or pop round the corner to Brewdog to get a burger and then come straight back for those post dinner beers. Did I say best beers in Aberdeen... nah... "Ordered through Just Eat and they added an extra 15 minutes to the order. Phoned them 10 minutes after estimated delivery time; the woman told me that they were actually very busy today and that they were waiting on the delivery driver to return so it should only be 15 minutes. 30 minutes later it hadn 't arrived so I cancelled the order. The restaurant accused me of refusing to answer the door and accept the delivery a blatant lie. So, I walked along the road and went to Gorgie Fish Bar. The food was delicious and the service was excellent!"

"My husband and I recently ordered takeout from this restaurant. I got a pizza, chips, and a can of juice for £9.50, while my husband got pakora, sauce, curry, rice, and naan for £10.50. I left to go home while my husband waited for the meal, which we thought was a good deal. However, when my husband tried to pay with a card, he was asked to pay more than once even though the machine had already accepted the card. It seemed like they were trying to pull a fast one, so be cautious when using a card here. They claimed the machine needed more paper and my husband had to ask for a receipt, which he wasn't offered. The meal itself was tasty, but there was more sauce than meat in the curry. Additionally, there was no can of juice in the bag, so be on the lookout for any missing items. The pizza was delicious and spicy, just the way I like it, but there was no diet coke included as there should have been."

"Absolutely fantastic! We came for the curry evening which is held every Tuesday. £12 for a curry, rice or naan and drink (soft drink, wine or beer). It’s amazingly good value for money and we really enjoyed the food. Particular highlights were the lamb saag, lamb vindaloo, chicken bhuna and chicken korma. The soft buttered naans were amazing too and seemed like they had come straight out of a tandoor. Just fantastic! Kapilla who served us is lovely and one of the sweetest, hardworking ladies you’ll ever meet. Thank you to Kapilla and all of the team for a lovely evening, we will be back for sure"

On to appetisers and there are so many tempting dishes to choose with many of these exclusive to the curry house. Our first time trying Pani Puri. A sweet and spicy hot street food snack filled with chickpeas and tamarind sat on a bed of crunchy, nutty Bombay mix. With a building but pleasant heat, definitely something everyone should try. The quality and freshness of the seafood was exceptional. Spicy king prawns were huge and cooked to perfection. Charred on the outside for flavour but juicy and meaty. Trio of King scallops were beautifully tender and of a good size with sweetness from the tamarind liquor. Lamb rogan Josh tender lamb shoulder in a medium hot ginger tomato and onion sauce. A strong take on a traditional favourite of ours. Fresh from the Tandoor a generous mix of marinaded chicken, lamb, king prawns and a chargrilled lamb chop. The Tandoori deluxe massalla sauce was the perfect blend of sweetness melting into a subtle heat which brought the dish together perfectly. The curry house takes traditional dishes and flavours from the Indian subcontinent and elevates them to a level beyond expectations. "Absolutely deplorable experience where a member of staff tried to charge me too much for my food. I corrected him for him to retort with “don’t raise your f ing voice at me next time” to which I tried to explain the maths of £2 plus £6 is £8. He got angry and instructed security to throw me out where upon walking out with me, they apologised for him and his attitude as he has “been like it all night”. Avoid at all costs as the small, numerically challenged “man” is a little vicious."

"A lucky find while on a mini break to the Darlington and Durham area. Did a google search for restaurants close to our hotel and picked Eastern Bamboo. The staff were lovely, all covid regulations were in situ. There was a great choice of dishes including plenty of vegetarian for my partner. Service was excellent and the food was delicious, the portions were a good size. Everything was on ground level which was good for me having limited mobility and I was able to park right outside. Don’t be put of by the surroundings as it was just outside the centre on the main road in amongst garages and closed shops."
