"Upon arriving we were seated at a table to the rear of the restaurant right by the door to the kitchen and the toilets which had a busy thoroughfare. We ordered fairly promptly and the starters were served within an acceptable amount of time. Each was presented nicely and were most enjoyable which proved promising for a restaurant that we had not eaten at before. Then came the main courses which were a completely different story. The ribs which 2 diners had ordered were served simply with a pool of bbq sauce sitting in the middle of each rack. The chicken skewers in short were uncooked, lacked any substantial flavour and were full of water! This dish was returned and a replacement was refused! We informed the waitress when she questioned the enjoyment of our meal that it was not good for which she apologised. The chicken dish was removed from the bill and apologies offered. We would not recommend or return to this local restaurant."

"Arrived at EDs Diner within the allocated booking time of between 1800 and the cut off of 1815. As we started booking in we were told by the staff there would be a 30 minute waiting time. We advised the staff we had a table booked and that service was not what we requested as we had transport for 1930. we then left the restaurant and ate elsewhere."

"the service was friendly and the place clean and warm, but eating was not quite on scratches. we had the caries and while the meat was in order (the crack was also good crunchy,) the sweet was not so good. the kartoffels seemed. to be deep-fried (the skin was dark and crispy, but full of oil) the brokkoli was a mixture of overcooked (mushy) and undercooked (rock-resistant) pieces and the cauliflower was very watery. for the price I would have expected a better quality, and I hope he will improve in the future."

"Absolutely delicious! I had the fajitas and my mum had the chilli. We really enjoyed the fajitas were very filling and tasted incredible. Although the chilli was beef there was very little meat in it which was a bit disappointing. None the less it was very good and we enjoyed it. Customer service was excellent and they accept blue light card at the moment. The prices have certainly increased. The local ones near me (which are now closed) priced chicken fajitas from £11.95-£13.95) now in this one it was nearly £16 which is A LOT and that's why I rated it 4 not 5 BECAUSE although it was delicious it was not value for money. (The one I had in the picture is not the chicken one it has extra meat)"

"Went here on 21st October before the cinema with my partner. I’ve been to Ed’s multiple mainly the Brighton branch and have never had any problems with the brand. Unfortunately Watford was not as good as I had hoped. When seated they were unaware of my booking and when I told them we booked for 5pm, the woman who I assume is the manager just looked at me very confused. Every time I’ve been to Ed’s I have always had great service but I have to say here is not. I ordered Mozzarella dippers and I asked if I could swap out the BQQ sauce for sour cream, as I have an allergy to something in BBQ, she just said ‘no unless you want to pay for it’ I explained I cannot eat BBQ sauce and that when I have eaten at Ed’s before they have had no issues swapping it out for me and making sure things have no BBQ traces in them however she was certain there was no way she could switch them! I ended up saying don’t worry about any sauces with my meal as we were on a time limit. My partner ordered the spicy chicken wings, as we waited a while for our mains to be bought over we overheard the chef asking worrying questions like ‘what is a chicken burger with just lettuce’ and not knowing what it was. Our mains arrived before our starters lukewarm May I add. We said we ordered starters and the same manager just said ‘oh ok’ and took the starters from a heat lamp and just sort of half arsed put them on our table with our mains. My boyfriend didn’t get wings, he got chicken strips with no spice on them, and the ribs he ordered were half warmed as if they had been microwaved a couple of times but before we could even comment on it the manager had quickly gone back to her laptop on the side talking to a waitress leaving one member of staff to do everything in the restaurant from seating people to serving completely run off his head. We had no meal check backs and the manager just went home despite seeing our empty plates and us waiting to pay for the food. I’m extremely glad that I had my 2 f"

"Hello...We met up with friends the table that we were allocated was in the middle of a war zone with children screaming and swearing. After a ten minutes we asked for another table as we could not hear ourselves talk above the chaos. We were shown to another table upstairs and this was better as we could hold a conversation. We ordered our meals and drinks and waited and waited eventually the starters arrived cold followed by the main meals which we had not even started !!!! One meal full rack of ribs and one steak were of a reasonable quality, the other two meals fish and chips were floating in oil and uneatable. My friends fish contained NO FISH just batter was this a joke ? I went to see the manager and brought him back to our table after seeing the table littered with starters and main meals he offered to replace the two fish and chips which was too late by now, our evening was spoilt and a disaster. Credit to the manager as he could see our disbelief on what had happened and waived the bill totally, this did not make up for the evening. We left and went to another establishment which turned out to be able to offer the evening we had hoped that your establishment could carry out without out all the above problems. This is not the first time this has happened the last time was in The Plough Sutton common road branch check you emails and you will see the problems we had there which were very similar. All in all things need to change unless us older fraternity are not required at your restaurants in future just the mob handed families and screaming children are welcome. "Went here for a birthday meal, we hadn't booked in advance, however, we were seated straight away. I told the waitress I had a voucher for a birthday meal and she said it was fine, just to order what we wanted off the menu and the cheapest meal would be free. Sophie, our waitress was both friendly and chatty, which made for a pleasant change. We both liked the fact that she found time to talk to us. Our meals were both hot and tasty, Sophie did a call back and wished me a happy birthday and also enquired as to whether I was having a good day. We finished our meals and didn't have room for dessert. Sophie had a different idea, she came out with a small ice-cream decorated fudge pieces and mini marshmallows, with a candle in the top, Sophie even sang happy birthday to me along with my daughter. Thank you for helping to make my birthday special, you are a waitress in a million."

"We had booked a table so wasn't waiting too long to be seated. Order was taken quite quickly and food arrived in good time. I'd requested no lettuce in my child's burger but if came with lettuce not a huge problem. Waited a long time after the meal for someone to come to our table to offer dessert menu but nobody did so in the end we asked for the bill then had to ask again because the guy serving forgot."

"We have been visiting are local harvester , for all our special celebrations ie Birthdays etc and have always been made welcome. Friday 8 th September was no different, we were celebrating a Special Wedding anniversary 50 years with are family. The service was excellent , and Clara are waitress was very efficient and considerate of our needs. I had asked if possible , for a table not near the kitchen. The table could not of been better for the 9 of us. The whole evening was brilliant , the food the service , the atmosphere. The air-conditioning was a little on the cool side, but understand as it was a very warm night. Thank You Kira and her team , we will most certainly be back next year for another special birthday celebration. "

"After placing our order, we struggled to get the attention of a server at the restaurant. There were missing items and I had to wait at least 4 minutes, waving frantically to grab someone's attention. However, once we received our food, it was delicious and satisfying. The servers were very friendly, but they could benefit from being assigned to specific sections rather than having to cover the entire restaurant, as they sometimes forget to check on all tables."

"Table booking system on line very easy, however to be told that you cannot visit the salad bar without being escorted by a server is shambolic, as is the quality of the salad items, I am capable of choosing my salad myself thanks without being made to feel like a 5 year old, I was fully masked up but still wasn't allowed to help myself. Also one of my party asked for a glass of lemon and lime with no ice, but still it came with ice. The food quality was quite nice, however when it came to ordering desert, we were all looking forward to enjoying one of the ice cream deserts, but couldn't as we were informed that the ice cream machine has set on fire, which I find hard to believe. It seems that no one could be bothered to go out and purchase a few tubs of ice cream from Iceland which is only a five minute walk away. No we won't be visiting Harvester again"

"Booked a week in advance to turn up to the diner to be told they weren’t taking bookings as they were closing in two days to be told to wait around and we will be squeezed around the bar in 20 mins and they were only taking cash! It was so loud in there not happy as we then had to rush and find somewhere else before our musical started! Put me off booking an Ed’s diner again was comingnon recommendation from my sister who has visit an Ed’s before! To try and squeeze people the way they did was ridiculous it was so hot in there and people couldn’t talk to each other! Or have personal space"

"13 of us met up and enjoyed a lovely family friends meal here yesterday. It’s a lovely harvesters- one of the older ones which we preferred, because its partially carpeted and has no large windows, sounds chatter doesn’t carry so it’s a lot quieter. The food was delicious and piping hot on arrival- well presented and the salad bar well stocked. Desserts all delicious as well especially the rocky horror !! Our server Sam was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, we had 2 people in our group with allergies and she was so attentive with them making sure they were catered for. So credit to Sam!! Overall a lovely evening, delicious food and great service"
