"Really nice food and friendly, but not excessively courteous service. The restaurant was quite empty when we arrived, and although we had booked a table 5 days before, we were placed on a laboriously assembled section in the middle of the restaurant. We asked if we could sit against one of the padded sections (which was easy to keep the children clamped), but it was said it was booked.... no one sat there during the meal that was frustrating."

"Made plans to come here for lunch after a morning visit to Camera Obscura which is just a little way up the mile. Been here before years ago loved it…love it still! Great ambience, fantastic service and amazing food all hot, fresh and tasty. Large portions too! I can definitely recommend the haggis bites they’re delicious. Shout out to our sever Sophie who was lovely; welcoming, friendly efficient. Love this place will return."

"I received a voucher as a Father’s Day gift and had the choice of this venue or their Glasgow restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was very tasty. I chose a traditionally Scottish meal on this visit, while my wife opted for a more traditional Italian dish. Both meals were great, as were the sticky toffee pudding desserts. Despite skipping starters due to our smaller appetites, the portion sizes were just right - we felt satisfied without feeling overly full. It had been many years since my last visit to the restaurant, but it was just as good as I remembered. We will definitely be returning in the future."

"Accepted my order on the app for delivery, I waited over an hour only to receive a text message saying my order was ready for collection. When I alerted the Mealzo app customer service I was told Tandoori Nites were refusing to deliver as they don't deliver to my area. "Seriously, don't order from this place unless you want your money, time and consume terrible food. It's just one of the worst fish and chips and kebabs I've ever eaten. The fish and chips were boiled and the amount of oil and fat on it was laid by this world. The Kebab Special was atrocious!. I never had a kebab covered with cheese sauce and had such a high quality and tasteless meat that was on the edge of the finish. the chili sauce tasted strange. More than 75 percent of the entire meal went into the container"

"I have been in the filling station in the omni center, edinburgh several times. I love eating American style along with the friendly service. the filling station coast to coast is an american restaurant bar. the atmosphere is created by playing classic American soundtracks and retro decoration. my favourite dish that I always go back and forth are the kentucky wings with Louisiana sauce. nom! and of course there is always space for one or two of the desert:D read them on my blog posts from the cocktail master class that is hosted by filling station and reintroducing the filling station in the edinburgh royal mile."

"finally around the thing. it was a few times, but wanted to exclude two visits. 16/12/17 girl xmas night outside. meal was nice, service was excellent. I wanted a table in the winter garden for a few more drinks and it was no problem for the girls who serve our table. perfect end of a night sitting on the fire drinking cocktails. fab atmosphere and good music. girls lunch 30/12/17 eat fab and cocktails amazing. again beautiful relaxed atmosphere. perfect for a good shopping trip. special mention to 3 employees Georgia, kenzie lynsey. also young gent on 30. who helped us recommend cocktails and tell us all about gin januar...what a really nice guy. I'm sorry he didn't name. at least we recommend this beautiful place."

"Bad food. Loooong wait both for drinks and food. Waiter (owner I was told) got 2 meals wrong. Brought calamari fritti for my husband and I which he never ordered in his life and I can 't stand them as they are like rubber in the UK so would never have ordered that. Waiter insisted I did, not once but 3x! My husband actually asked for whitebait! My husband ordered calf 's liver as a main which is soft and succulent in France, Germany and Greec etc. It was thin and like shoe leather. It is supposed to go into a hot pan, then turned over after a few seconds and taken out of pan served. This is what it should be like "A classic of British cooking, Calf 's Liver is succulently tender and fine grained with a deliciously mild, sweet flavour. More and more people are discovering the delicious flavour of Calf 's Liver due to its place on the menus.« I took it home to give to the dog and foxes!! My friend next to me (we were 13) ordered meatballs which were so salty she couldn 't eat them. Another lady didn 't like how the fish was done. It was mediocre. MY mussels had anorexia. I have photos. They were non existent or if there was one in the shell, it didn 't measure more than 5mm. 20 were empty and the sauce was not nice. Obvs they were not fresh mussels, they were cooked already and just heated up. Lots and lots of small broken shells in the sauce. Must have been the last dregs. Just as well I didn 't swallow one of the shards. Will I go back? No, I 'll go to a real Italian restaurant next time. Bragging about an Italian chef! He needs to go on a cookery course IN ITALY! I lived, ate and cooked there. I know what Italian food is supposed to taste like!!!!! And sooo expensive."

"After almost an hour of waiting for delivery, I called up to ask for an explanation as to why my pizza was late, and cold. I was asked what my job was/whether I was a lawyer (clearly irrelevant to the situation), whether I was on drugs/had been drinking, and then hung up on, simply for asking for an explanation as to why my pizza was cold/late. I proceeded to ask the name of the man I was speaking to, so that I might report this despicable line of questioning, and was spoken over and hung up on. "from beginning to end, this can only be described as one of my worst restaurants experiences. we were a little early on our table so we were invited to stand at the bar to wait for our table. we waited and waited and waited for twenty minutes to serve and there was only one person in front of us. We were totally ignored while the two people behind the bar took care of the table orders. eating ordered and when it came, it was wrong so that the food of my wife had to go back. another order was also wrong and they promised to bring the fritten asap. they came when we all finished our eating. the food of my wife came back right, but the plate was full of fat and pommes was microwave. eating all looked completely inconspicuous. the manager took the cost for the meal of my wife from the bill and the riders who never arrived but nothing for our experience or offered more drinks. unnecessary to say that we never go back. it felt as if they really did not deal with the volume of people."

"My husband bought a kebab for himself and fish and chips for me. This was on Friday evening last week. Usually you can expect a decent fish on a Friday as traditionally this was fresh from catch. This was in all honesty the worst excuse for fish I’ve ever tasted. The texture was all wrong, it was a mush, almost a paste, covered in a batter that was like pancake mix. They had even put two in the box which you might think was a bonus but it only made it heavier to carry to the bin. It was pouring with rain or I would have returned it. The chips were no better, they were sweet tasting like they’d shared the oil with goodness knows what! I will ensure I never use this chippy again."

"I ordered kebabs for me and a friend last night. when they arrived, they were completely burned and the chips tasted. my friend called them to say they were burned and unusable, but halfway through the conversation they put on him....When he called back to ask for a refund, they said it was not their fault, it was burned and then they began to say that they were closing, so nothing they could do. they didn't even apologize and I paid for eating that we gave to the dog. I'm not fussy, but it was like coal. they must also improve on the salat side. it is missing and no chilis. I will never use this place again. they sent out terrible food and refused to return my money. the most expensive piece of dog food."
