"Don’t usually write reviews but we had a fantastic time. Food was 10/10 and a special mention for MARIA who served us for a short time, she was very attentive to our needs and made the whole experience 10x better. The restaurant looked busy as well which is always good news. Make sure to come at happy hour, we got a lot of food bottle of wine for £80. We will be coming back."

"I was looking for an appetizer and a nice restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday. Ambience and authenticity were excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. Food was amazing, we chose set menu £35pp. Food was excellent, but wished there were more dishes and lots of food per person was not enough I.e ordered Teriyaki salmon and there was only 1 piece of slam that we had to share. I felt that when we paid per person, I would like the food for each person to have been the same quantities, Dessert was beautiful. Would definitely recommend and visit again, but would be a bit more careful with the choice of food. Perfect location for appetizers in the Royal Albert Hall"

"What an absolute find! We happened on this restaurant while visiting Chelsea. TPH is an elegant restaurant featuring a wonderful balance of mainstream dishes with a sophisticated twist. A perfect example is the samosa appetizer. Light and fluffy on the inside and delicately crisp on the outside. This would have been great on it’s on own but was served with a chickpea stew combining a wonderful blend of herbs and spices that made it one of the best things I’ve eaten in quite some time. The menu features rich, textured curries, perfectly tender meats, fresh seafood and veggie dishes served by a gracious husband and wife team who truly care about your dining experience. All this and not while not putting a big dent in your pocketbook. We will definitely be back."

"Poor experience start to finish. Both waiters appeared to have no experience at all. On arrival restaurant was quiet with only one other table, waiter was unable to prepare alcoholic drinks, so we had to wait for another waiter, which resulted in a 40 minute wait for drinks. Once food was finally ordered, starters and main course all came at once, leaving no room on the table. The chicken tikka was cold and had to go back to the kitchen to be microwaved and the naan bread was hard. Sadly, the food was not what was expected having read other reviews. The waiters were pleasant, but not once checked that the food was ok or whether we would like more drinks. The ladies bathroom was far from clean with no toilet paper and a dirty sink. The meal was very disappointing and expensive. It was easy to see why the restaurant was almost empty on a Friday night."

On to appetisers and there are so many tempting dishes to choose with many of these exclusive to the curry house. Our first time trying Pani Puri. A sweet and spicy hot street food snack filled with chickpeas and tamarind sat on a bed of crunchy, nutty Bombay mix. With a building but pleasant heat, definitely something everyone should try. The quality and freshness of the seafood was exceptional. Spicy king prawns were huge and cooked to perfection. Charred on the outside for flavour but juicy and meaty. Trio of King scallops were beautifully tender and of a good size with sweetness from the tamarind liquor. Lamb rogan Josh tender lamb shoulder in a medium hot ginger tomato and onion sauce. A strong take on a traditional favourite of ours. Fresh from the Tandoor a generous mix of marinaded chicken, lamb, king prawns and a chargrilled lamb chop. The Tandoori deluxe massalla sauce was the perfect blend of sweetness melting into a subtle heat which brought the dish together perfectly. The curry house takes traditional dishes and flavours from the Indian subcontinent and elevates them to a level beyond expectations. "This restaurant is truly underrated. The staff is outstanding and very friendly. The constant flow of young adults coming in and out hints at the delicious food being served. Despite the lack of customers dining in, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal each time I visited and always ended up with a large takeout container to bring home. Some of the curry dishes even taste better the next morning for breakfast. It's a bring your own (alcohol) and bring your own (cash) establishment, as they do not have a card machine. While there may be some questionable practices with their books, the food coming out of the kitchen is nothing short of delicious."

"This was a lovely dining experience for a Saturday night. The décor is classy and the waiting staff were attentive. We ordered a small mixed grill, pepper chicken, biryani and garlic naan for a party of 2. We left very full and happy. The food was delicious and the service was quick. As it was our anniversary, the restaurant gifted our dessert free of charge. We'll definitely come back."

"Just a quick review, we were walking about looking for somewhere to eat and come across this place. We try to find small businesses rather than big chains to support them. My partner and I had a good experience here and the fried rice was one of the best I've ever had. We had more than we could eat, the portions were good and i really enjoyed my meal. Service was with a smile and prompt, my only suggestion would be to give this little place a makeover if ever possible as quite tired. Also like to point out this Indian is by far the cheapest around where you could pay double just by walking a few streets. Overall all lovely experience enjoyed my food what more could you want?"

"I have used Jasmine for about 9 years now following a move from the other side of the city. I 've had food from all of the Coventry Indian restaurants/takeaways many many times and although the other side of the city seems to have more of a choice Jasmine has been especially good. It was a shame that Shimla Spice by the train station went, but relocated to a smaller site at Spon End and Jay the proprietor had clearly worked hard to build his business. This has since closed. Bob and Nashaa, he too has grafted for years and when I 'm next over the other side of the city I 'll either book a table/get a takeaway. I have not liked Tumeric Gold on the occasions I 've had food from them and never understood the 'best in Coventry ' tag the Coventry Evening Telegraph gives the place only to think the journalist has some vested interest. I could list the many places I have had the pleasure of using. The best though (sorry to Shimla Spice and Nashaa) for a takeaway in my opinion is Jasmine. Ali and his staff are great. Decent food, decent prices and a great reputation over the Eastern Green/Tile Hill areas of the city."

"Came here with family on a Saturday night. When looking at the menu, the owner/waiter was rushing us and ended up taking the menus saying the kitchen is very busy! When trying to order the lamb tikka masala I was told no it 's hard so we asked what do you mean...hard to cook? Which he replied no the lamb is hard we cooked it yesterday! I have never been to a restaurant where I 've been told to avoid something... My starter was nice chicken tikka puri..but the prawn tikka masala wasn 't great, no flavour to the prawns themselves. The tables seem to small also, my naan was sitting on the windowsill as it was easier then finding space on the table. Would I return no... Parking: Parking is terrible, other customers have no choice but to block you in so they then have to stop eating to let you out."

"We visited this place back in July. Where do I even begin? The food was okay but the service was bad. The staff could not even communicate and they could not even understand a thing we asked. And we’re Indians! The food came and we ate and it was alright. When we got our bill we saw some other guests arguing with the owner about being charged extra so we decided to check our bill as well. And of course we got charged extra very very sneakily. No way it was a mistake. The items were correct and named fine but in the price section had another but written in small handwriting squeezed between the other prices. All their bills are handwritten so they do whatever they want. I assume they do this to everybody so make sure you check your bill."
