"Heard so many good reviews about Quays gastro bar in portrush so called in on a Friday around 7.00pm. It was quite busy with holiday families however we had a short wait in the beer garden which was very pleasant and had a beer during our wait for restaurant. The restaurant itself was in contrast to the beer garden was very dark in fact the walls were painted black and ambiance not great for a dining experience (we would have been happy sitting in the enclosed section of the beer garden) The meal itself was fair to poor, my rump steak texture was not like it should be I had the feeling it was put through some sort of tenderising process and not great like a good steak freshly cooked should be, garlic fries were just ok. My wife chicken strips coated in breadcrumbs the coating so salty she could not eat them, I am more salt tolerant but they were so salty I could not eat them either. We are not people who complain and the staff were very pleasant and I did leave a tip. So Quays I have to say huge disappointment and will not return."

"I had the most amazing chicken masala here recently. I didn't even know this place existed. I had a business meeting in the restaurant and I am very impressed with the food. definitiw one of the best Indian meals I've ever had. they were looking forward to going back there, they also had a nice pinot grigio I forgot to get the name. the person with whom I had pasta and was also very impressed by their meal. as they can see from the photos, it was also beautifully presented."

"It was a cold Sunday February evening we had a reservation for 6.30pm. There were customers at only one other table, so reservations were probably not necessary. The young ladies in charge of service were very courteous and attentive, without fussiness. Always nice to experience welcoming service in a restaurant. Food here is unpretentious, and has a 'home-cooked ' feel to some dishes (I had the pasta special). However, that 's not a complaint, because the prices reflect the straightforward nature of what 's on offer. We recommend phoning for reservation, as we had no responses from the restaurant to emails beforehand (the staff were apparently on holiday in the new year), so had to use the phone. Also, take the opportunity to ask for a table away from the entrance door because, if you are seated just inside that door, the wind blowing down Broughton Street could take some of the enjoyment of dining here away every time someone opens it."

"We succeeded in finding a wonderful restaurant in Belfast. Smaller place with superb service, great location, and skillfully prepared food. The duck cassoulet was the best dish of my entire life. Everything else we were served was delicious and satisfying. Do not leave your chance to eat here to luck. Make sure to have a reservation—the world is discovering just how special this place is!"

"The bistro was somewhat empty and as a result, it felt quite dull and lacking in atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. The lasagna was cooked and served in the same dish, making it extremely hot. The garnish was minimal, consisting of just a few sprigs of greenery."

"So this is my fav restaurant ever ..and I had booked Kline and mentioned it was for my sons 18th birthday. So let’s start with positive ..the staff are fantastic and bubbly .. But we where placed in a pretty empty restaurant on a tiny table cramped and against a pillar (I actually thought it was a wind up The food ..usually the BEST ever ..but the pizza and mussels where below average ..beer was great but overall it was just flat ..I had asked for a small cake when I ordered but alas nothing ..it breaks my heart that my fav place to go to is not the same ..is it under new management ? No idea but it just doesn’t cut it Again I want to hail the staff as they where great (but again why put me on a tiny table when there where tons of tables Hey ho .."

"I visited this restaurant for lunch on Friday, November 17th, and I had a great experience. The staff were very friendly and attentive. All the dishes were beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. Our son ordered a children's penne pasta, and the portion was quite generous. The kids' menu featured puzzles and coloring pictures, which kept him entertained and, more importantly, quiet! We will definitely return soon, and I highly recommend this place to anyone. "I enjoyed a Festive lunch with 5 former colleagues at Iris on Saturday 8th December. We were made very welcome and although the restaurant was full the staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was superb and it was very reasonably priced. Not only were we provided with the Festive Lunch Menu but we also had the option of choosing from the a la Carte menu. "we went last night after kitch, for the first time we booked in nov pure because it was the first place we tried to take Dec booking reservations that we spoke with a beautiful girl, sophia that told us to send the menu into our options and they would have it ready for us at the arrival when we were pressed for the time. We only sent our decisions on the day we were terrible customers. we traveled from randalstown, the other two went shopping last minute before we were gone. So we have changed our time from 7pm to half 7pm at last 20pm. in the future we were quickly shown on our table. we remembered the option of our email order that they went to check with the kitchen whether this was still possible there was a light problem as sophia had originally said that our token vegetarian could have their choice from the Christmas menu the vegetarian menu, but james reacted to my email to say that she could not make the veggie menu easier. we ordered drinks the barman was a tight, recommended gins save the last of the rhabarb gin for us. I ordered the baked braut to begin, I had recently a very bad cheese stater, so this is a happy turn of events, beautiful! the truthahn ham pornstars hope that my Christmas dinner is so good. then I shared the monkey pudding with one of my friends. we were all very satisfied with our meal times. the personal was more fantastic, who I think the owner was dressed very dapper for christmas was an absolute gent the waitresses were also a beautiful piece bant. one of my friends has pointed out how good the staff was with children, so it is deff family friendly. best meal I had recently, quite reasonable, brilliant coworkers beautiful atmosphere. it could not be fault that it is definitely back. many thanks for a beautiful night"

"came here with my friend for a catch up as heard this place was good. Place was absolutely dead so didn't have high hopes however the server was so lovely and catering. I ordered the fat pig burger which had pulled pork in it and it was amazing- best burger ever. I also had the chilli beef loaded fries which were yummy too and the showstopper for me was the onion rings- they were fab. Portion sizes are huge so will keep this in mind for my next visit. totally recommend and not bad priced also"

"Everything about our experience was 5 stars! We arrived slightly earlier and were given a larger table which was better for chatting around, other than good food this was the reason for 4 of us to to out for dinner! The burgers were outstanding! The pie of the day, chicken and spicy chorizo, was laden as you cut into it. The pork belly with black pudding polenta and lobster bisque was treeee....mendous! ...and the rosemary and garlic fries were something else..... Mouth watering just writing this! The deserts were more than ample and a taste explosion. The waiter, 'Will ' was brilliant. He was so attentive without being overbearing as some places can be. He knew the food to explain exactly with you 'd receive and was spot on discussing the deserts. We watched him with other guest, he worked the floor with natural charm as ease. He needs to commended for the way he represented The Three Horse Shoes. The pub only takes card payments, so if you want to tip, take cash. There is a 10% service charge added to your bill so that may suffice for some of you. Can 't wait to return."

"I am a solo traveller and usually find that restaurants are not overly keen to take your booking as you are clearly taking up a table for two so they are loosing money. I arrived at Vesta without a booking and was immediately welcomed by Declan and given a great table by the bar. Between him, Anu and Sophie, I was given superb service for the rest of the evening. I had a good bottle of Malbec and a rib eye steak which was perfect followed by a beautiful selection of cheeses. I was actually sad to leave Vesta and would highly recommend it. I think the work they do for Social Bite is fantastic and an admirable contribution to homelessness in Edinburgh. Well done guys."

"if I could give this place, minus stare I would, ordered the food for the half of the last seven and not nearly twenty to ten. I get his pandemic, but if they can't honor orders, or they're probably very late, so on the website to say its not hard to update their website to say that they eat over two hours before it appears, but then I assume that they don't want that, telephoneed and asked where eating was after the first hour, a murmurmured it soon. I like to eat this, but I will never order here again, perhaps the staff like eating at this time of night, I don't and if they aren't honest enough to just say how long it will be, then I go somewhere."
