"I've been popping in occasionally these past six months and each time I come away more impressed. Firstly, the fish and chips are fantastic! Excellent flavour, excellent portions and extremely reasonable prices. The service is also always spot on. But my favourite thing about this place is how sustainable it's trying to be. I'm cutting down my plastic use, trying to buy products without palm oil and currently doing a vegan month...all the things that seem to send people into a frenzy. But the owner has been genuinely pleased to tell me all the sustainable changes he has made I can have my chips in a box that breaks down quickly and easily no raised eyebrows if I don't want polystyrene. The palm oil used is sustainably sourced through the Round Table guidelines. The batter is dairy free which makes lots of options vegan beyond just chips...there is also a vegan sausage (I think? And the curry sauce and gravy are vegan. He will also cook things separately for you. If any of this is your bag this is the place to come. If it's not you're helping the planet without even having to try. For a small business to make this kind of effort when it is expensive to do so is extraordinary. It is always a pleasure to chat to the owner who offers the information readily, and doesn't think I'm about to preach about my sustainable choices. Support a local business doing great things and making great food. Thank you for surprising me every time and filling me up until I can hardly breathe!"

"I often go here for lunch. Fantastic Cod sold here. This is one of my favourite fish chips stops. The Cod is crunchie on the outside and not oily. The fish itself has wonderful taste and the chips are yummy too. A must try when you strolling along near Wanstead High Street. There is indoor seating but also a few spaces outside to enjoy your food in the lovely sunshine. They also sell original fizzy drinks which is soooooo rare these days. I mean, if you want to drink a can of Coke, you want to see that GB sign on it right??? I know I do!!! If you are for chilli sauce you will get that classic dixy seeded chilli sauce. Which is deadly, but fun when you mix it with some ketchup to tone it down a bit. Salim Patel"

"Ordered 3 medium cod, 2 chips, plain and cheesy fish cakes to feed 3 adults and a hungry tweenager. Big pieces of fish, plenty of chips in 2 portions for 4 of us. Well impressed with the homemade fishcakes they were huge, think the cheesy one was our favourite. Will definitely visit again if we're this way!"

"One star is one too many. The fish was bland; no flavour at all and the batter was soggy. The chips were disgusting not proper chip shop chips at all!! There were like cheap dry chips you'd expect to get in a horrible pub. It was so horrible that after a few mouthfuls we stopped eating it Oh and don't get me started on the price!! £17 for two cod and one chips. All of which were thrown away as they were so disgusting. I would have no problem paying that if the food was as amazing as it claims to be. But to pay that for cheap mass produced food is just an insult. They post all their reviews on the menu although I'm Not really sure how there are so many fantastic reviews. Do not waste your money for such disappointing food. Stick to your well trusted chippie :"

"This restaurant offers both takeout (on the ground floor) and dine-in options (on the upper floor). We decided to eat in and ordered fish and chips for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes for a reasonable price. It was one of the best fish and chip dishes I have ever had, and it left me feeling full for the rest of the day. If you're in Bath, be sure to try Bad Fish and Chips!"

"Recently, we had three school boys staying with us and we treated them to the local fish and chips with curry sauce at Fisherman's Wharf. They raved about the large, flavorful fish and the homemade curry sauce, saying it was the best meal they had experienced during their stay in school and in the town where their school is located. They even asked for another serving before they left. Great job, Fisherman's Wharf!"

"a beautiful local pub, good eating, friendly staff, garden with play equipment for children and a lot of seating opportunity, could with more sun umbrellas outside, but that was a very hot summer. Sunday roasts are always good"
