"very small restaurant at the side of the pub. It was fine. Food was good but service was strange. They brought the prossecco but the waitress said she couldn’t open it so we did it ourselves (although sue said she would get someone who could)!. The 2nd bottle she brought it already opened. The band arrived in the pub so it got a little noisy but it was ok as we knew there would be a band playing that evening. The food was good."

"I made a reservation to watch the England game and was seated at a fantastic table right in front of the screen. The food was outstanding, surpassing the quality of other Indian restaurants in the area that I have visited. Despite the pub being crowded, our server Theresa provided excellent service, even managing a few noisy tables. I highly recommend this establishment."

"Not been since is been done up. Place is nice inside. Fish tank is pretty awesome. Decor is very mismatched. Food is OK. Wouldn't go out my way to eat here. Price is reasonable considering 5 of us were eating. Feel quiet cramped if your not in a booth. Everything is very rushed. One thing about this place is the toilets. They are not up to any standard at all. Tap is handle us broke. Not clean. Water all over the floor. Very disappointed, as this place was recommended to me."

"Dinner for 2. Return visit as I had been previously during the Eat out promotion with a friend and food had been excellent. Food was still very good although we thought the mixed vegetable platter starter was a bit greasy. Staff were very good and we had a nice evening. We would still recommend as there are some nice choices of the menu that differ from our usual Indian."

"Had really high expectations but was quite disappointed by the quality and portion of food. The ambience no doubt is excellent and the staff are nice to an extent but the food is not worth at all. It is not even close to authentic Indian food and the quantity is abysmal. We ordered three dishes and all of them were totally bland and full of oil and food colourings. What really ticked me off was the mandatory service charge with no mention whatsover of it's discretionary nature (not even in the menu or the receipt). When I asked it to be removed, the staff got rude and only took it off after I had to remind him that it's not legal to impose service charge. For all Indian customers atleast: go there for the less chaotic and peaceful environment in Central London but try the food at your own risk."

The Peshwari naan, kheema naan, rice, and chicken jalfrezi were delicious, and I was pleased to find authentic Indian cuisine in Bangor. "We give British pub fare much due credit for coming a long way in the last 20 years since its previous dark days of unmitigated blandom. Still, the vanguard of English culinary salvation remains its range and ubiquity of excellent Indian food, as we are sampling this evening, with Asian and Mediterranean food holding up the flank and rear. This place is a prime example ans best in class for its specific category of hard to find authentic South Indian far. On order shown here are chicken masala dosai (crepe) and chicken biryani. The restaurant cuisine actually hails from my ancestral Kerala which I have yet to discover. The copious portions made for ample take home, even for the two ravenous patrons."

"We went to Giftos last week. Due to ramzaan its jam packed at iftaar time. They dont take booking so the trick is to come minimum 20-25 mins early to get the table.They serve dates to break the fast. We called for few veg and non veg items I will give rating below. We were so hungry totally forgot to take photos Seekh kebab 3/5 Haleem 3.5/5 Matar Paneer 2.5/5 Paneer tikka 1/5 chicken karahi 3.5/5 Kulfi rabdri falooda 3/5 there was no rabdri and kulfi was ok in taste Not sure if the chefs were under pressure to make food at iftar time for so many tables. We found chkn Karahi bit oily. Over all the food was good. We will try once more once ramzan is over and if there is difference."

"Hanoi Cafe is quite under rated. It doesn't stand out from the rest. It was recommended on my recent trip to London by a French girl we just met who eats there often. "Had a lousy experience at Krishna's Inn. My wife is South Indian and we moved to Bristol area recently so we were looking for good places to eat. This isn't one of them. When we arrived we were told that service would be slow because...they had a lot of takeaway orders. There was only one other table being used. This was on a Saturday night! The menu had food stains on it. We ordered anyway and then sat with poppadoms and wine. The restaurant was cold. During that time I visited the loo and it was awful. There were pee stains around the toilet seat, the soap dispenser was empty and the hot water tap didn't work. After half an hour of waiting for our food we asked the waiter what was happening. He went to the kitchen and came back to tell us our food would be another minutes. We paid for our drinks and left."

"Food is usually very good, however they are so focussed on the takeaway side of the business that seated customers are left waiting and waiting for their order. Eventually when they served us our entrée dish uncooked. The waitress was very nice and offered us a discount. The rest of our meal was delicious. Waiting staff on a Friday night is under pressure, they keep going back and forth from the kitchen to the door, outside there is a line of delivery drivers, the atmosphere is frantic, not relaxing."

"Lamb Balti?. Having read a number of positive reviews about this place I decided to give it a try. I have to agree with some of the other comments that it is a little overrated, the poppadoms were stale and the starter of chicken Pakoda fritters were soggy instead of crispy. A friend of mine who loves a good Balti was very disappointed going so far as to say he couldn't recognise it as a balti. I opted for the Nepalese mixed masala and again this was very bland. Overall I don't think I will be going to this Indian restaurant again there are numerous choices in the Manchester area and I think my money would be better spent trying alternatives."
