"I am always hopful when trying a new place but this was a let down. The waiter didn't seem to know what was on the menu, or what is job was, and it was a major mission just to place our order. The noisy turbine extractor fan in the dining room sparked to life when smoke from the kitchen filled the room, doors were opened to help manage the smoke, it was not nice. The food was okay, the value was okay with the toptable deal, but without the deal forget it. The washroom experience was unplesant to say the least. Air freshener lined the wall. Chicken was defrosting unattended in a downstairs kitchen sink. Sorry but never again."

"Since we last visited some years ago the Everest has made a real effort with their décor including a new beer garden out front. Lighting inside is decorative and colourful but overall ambience is a little too bright maybe? Our food was very disappointing, we ordered Everest Special Mismas and Mixed Grill Masala as mains. Both were higher priced dishes that were supposed to include prawns but there were none in either dish. The Mismas didn 't look anything like the menu photo but in fairness they do state Photos are for suggestion only: Actual Platters may appear DIFFERENT . The Masala grill was described as medium sauce but our dish was very mild with no trace of chilli heat. The stuffed paratha was undercooked and greasy. Pilau rice and vegetable bhuna side however were both very good. Kingfisher and Cobra are served on draft but both were charged 30p a pint more than the printed menu price it 's gone up was the explanation. Prices overall are fair but I was hoping for authentic tasty food that at least lived up to the menu descriptions."

"Nouvelle Spice is a wonderful Indian restaurant located in New Cross. Their friendly service, large portions, and affordable prices make it a great dining spot. The food is delicious, with the chicken korma being sweet and creamy without being too rich, and the lamb dansak perfectly tangy. The peshwari naan is especially excellent, with a thick, doughy texture and a delicious golden filling topped with toasted sesame seeds. The prawn palak and bhindi bhaji dishes were also tasty, although the pilau rice was nothing special."

"After receiving confirmation from OpenTable with the code 822102241, my wife and I arrived at the restaurant last night at 7:20. Despite our reservation, we were told we did not have a booking. After refusing to sit at a coffee table in the lounge, the manager was able to find us a table in the restaurant and offered us a complimentary drink to salvage the situation. However, our troubles did not end there. When we ordered the beef, we were not asked how we wanted it cooked and had to send it back because it was too rare. Our dessert took 30 minutes to arrive, prompting us to ask the staff if there was an issue. Finally, my wife had to ask for a glass of wine 15 minutes after initially requesting it. Despite some minor issues, we were still charged an additional 10% for the lackluster service. We have been patrons of this restaurant for over 20 years, both as a couple and in larger groups. However, after last night's experience, we are unlikely to return. In recent years, there have been new establishments in the area that offer comparable or even superior service. Last night's service at the restaurant was truly disappointing for what should have been a special occasion."

"Terrible. I never really write reviews. I go for a Curry every Friday and have been to many places in London. This place is the worst I i have ever been too. The samosas were dreadful and clearly out a freezer. The lamb vindaloo tasted like someone had got some chillies, scrapped some tomatoo puree of a homemade pizza and shoved some chicken in. The rest of the dishes were equally as bad and i could go on. The prices were a complete rip off . The waiters were extremely unfriendly and their attitude clearly mirrors the standard of the food. There are hundreds of far better places in London where you can get a cheaper meal. Truly Indian is an ananthema to the cuisine of the subcontinent!!"

"We were a large group, who had booked weeks in advance. The food was good, but the service was incredibly slow. It took an hour to receive our starters after ordering, and another hour and a half after ordering mains (why weren't both orders taken at the same time? to receive our mains. It was a Saturday early evening. Our party arrived at 1730 and left at 2115. Way too long to wait as we had somewhere else to go to afterwards. We felt that the staff were just trying to encourage us to buy more drinks whilst we waited. Nothing wrong with attentive staff, but nearly 4 hours to finish our meal was unacceptable. The restaurant was not very busy, and to see other tables eat and leave before us was frustrating. The food was good, staff polite and friendly, but the experience let down by the slow service. First time Id been there and I will not return or recommend."

"I absolutely love this place. The owner and the staff are friendly, just the kind of warmth you'd expect at an authentic Indian and Nepalese restaurant. I used to frequently visit Balti Curries even when I was a student at Falmouth University. They have a wide variety of dishes. I had the onion bhajees, momo, and the lamb tikka biryani. The portion size was really good and the taste was exceptional. Thank you for the lovely experience."

"The restaurant was utterly vacant, with not a single customer in sight. One staff member was present, but they were not particularly helpful. We found that we couldn't order half of the items on the menu. It took us over 20 minutes to navigate the app and add food to our order. The atmosphere was dull and lifeless, with staff wandering around as if they didn't care. This experience completely spoiled what was meant to be a lovely wedding anniversary dinner. In the end, we decided to give up trying to order and left, as it would have been over an hour before we got to eat. While the prices seemed a bit steep, they might have been worth it had we felt welcomed, managed to place our order, and actually tried the food."

"My family visited this restaurant last night. As always, the service was excellent and there was a pleasant buzz in the square. It wasn't too crowded, just the sounds of many satisfied customers. The food was delicious as usual. We enjoyed authentic Italian pastas, many of which were homemade, and the sauces were all fantastic. We also had a delicious bottle of Etna Bianco wine and a great Negroni. The prices were very reasonable. We regret not trying the Bruschetta, as they looked amazing. We will definitely be back soon. "We used to come here all the time and then what with covid we had a big gap. I went a few months ago with my wife and it was not as good, but rather than write it off we decided to go again, and so went for dinner last night. The food is so so : lots of delivery drivers wait around outside with mopeds shining their headlights through the window whilst they await takeaway orders from the counter next door. It 's much less pleasant than it used to be, but probably more profitable. The restaurant owner is a miserable guy: ultra low customer service skills, grumpy. The setting was a bit bright, too many lights, not at all intimate. The food was mostly okay but the tempura had a Nasty aftertaste like the oil was old or dirty. Time to raise your game guys. This used to be a fabulous neighbourhood Japanese restaurant. It 's just a takeaway these days that puts up with walk in diners. Not cool at all."

"I absolutely loved the food at this restaurant. The theme of the place was great and the food was absolutely amazing. I really appreciated the ordering system for customizing my burger - I could choose all 5 toppings to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. The options included hash browns, fried egg, fries, mushrooms, fried onions, and various sauces. I would definitely recommend trying this out. Plus, they currently have a 50% off promotion for the next few days, which is a great deal!"

"First time here, I don't know what I was expecting but whatever it was I was definitely impressed! Smart place, we had a Groupon for Saturday's which was incredibly good value. "This might be one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at in the world. The flavors that they are getting out of the food is just incredible. They give St John in London a run for their money as top restaurants in the city. Highly recommend sitting at the counter so that you can watch the chefs make your food, and you might even have some interesting conversation with them. If you're in London then you need to visit Manteca. You will want to at least order the bread appetizer, mussels, and one or two pastas."

"We found the menus to be quite complicated. There were six of us eating and two if us arrived a bit late. Overall I found the street food dishes to be delicious and we ordered of them on the advice of the friendly waitress. We mainly stuck to that menu. Two of us shared a bottle of white wine and that menu choice was limited options from memory. The rest drank beer. I also had a margarita which was fab. We had tacos and salsaguacamole dips to start as well all very nice. Some of us ordered dessert the donuts with choc dip v average and a tart which was like a creme caramel no pastrybiscuit base which they weren't expecting. Overall I would go back but the I have to say the service from the chap waiter who took over when we moved to a bigger table helped to complicate it all for us. He seemed as confused as we were at times"

"a nice afternoon dinner. we booked for a table of 10 for a afternoon dinner and had a good time. it can be difficult to book online so we arranged the hotel marriott and they booked us in carluccios. tony called me the day before to make sure we were still before our booking. at the arrival the manager (a woman) did not know that we were pre-ordered, but her colleague has laid our table and waited for us. all staff were very nice and professional, service was prompt and friendly. the food was traditional Italian fare and well cooked. the drink selection was also very nice and the cocktails went well down. dephran took care of our table and was extremely professional and friendly. we celebrated a birthday and the personal brought a cake and extra cutlery, nothing was too much annoyed and they did it with a smile. the restaurant is spacious and has a beautiful feeling, with seating for groups, families and couples. it is located in the marriott hotel, which is a beautiful bar and lobby area next to the restaurant. there is a fee for parking, but there is a lot of space. if they are well cooked Italian cuisine in west london in a beautiful environment with good service then carluccio is definitely worth visiting. we will definitely visit again. thanks to all the staff."

Additionally, a super large cheese and tomato pizza with cheese stuffed crust was missing. "Not the best experience. No parking to start with. Inconsiderate drivers. Service was overly keen. Kept interrupting our conversation various times asking is everything okay constantly throughout the experience. Manager offered as we walked in some water and poppadoms in a complimentary way. Later to find out he charged us a ridiculous price. Food was very overpriced for the quality. The variety was very limit and the staff didn’t now about the menu when asked questions. The manager was sneaky and added service charge also without asking us or telling. Place is small. Go owl and pussycat if you want good Indian food at a fraction of the price. I wouldn’t recommend unless you into a show room restaurant rather the quality and service. Thumbs down for me over hyped."

"I completely messsed up the booking I got the time wrong, and accidentally booked for people when in fact, showed up. Even though they were completely booked, and I only gave them mins notice, they were incredibly helpful, finding exta space to squeeze us into and letting me off my general inefficiency. The Maitre'd David? was very hepful and charming, and the service was delightful. Everyone was very happy with their food, and the cost was very reasonable. We all left saying that we would happily go there again"
