"My friend and I decided to go to Notting Hill for breakfast and after walking around for a bit we decided on Farm Girl. Big mistake. Initially we walked in and were seated quickly, it had a nice atmosphere and so far everyone seemed friendly. After being seated, a small card stated the menu was online and could be viewed using a QR code, which is a great way to move forward in hospitality to avoid paper wastage but you might want to think twice about this option when your building has no cell service and your free 'wifi ' works slower than my grandma climbing the stairs at 95. Our order was taken, we weren 't asked about any allergies (which we both had but ordered carefully), the food arrived quickly but my god... We get it, everything 's expensive in London but £14.50 for TWO pancakes with a spoonful of mashed up cherries and £10.50 for a slice of bread with some avocado?! RIDICULOUS! The tables next to us were also complaining at the prices of their breakfast once the food arrived and realised how appalling the portions are. My friend and I love supporting smaller businesses and expect to pay slightly more in support of these, but this was just atrocious. Not one server had returned to the table to check if our food was alright or if we wanted anything else. Once finished, we actually managed to access the QR code to pay the bill and a service charge had been placed ontop of the already extortionate amount. Now as someone who has worked in hospitality myself for 4 years, I 'm more than happy to pay service charge as well as leaving cash tips. Not this time. Paying service charge would 've meant we 'd actually been served, we hadn 't. My friend asked for the service charge to be removed to which the waiter nodded then went back to the till, bad mouthed us to his coworker who turned around to look at us both (making uncomfortable eye contact) he then returned and we paid straight away. My friend and I both left straight away, thanking the staff but we were blanked completely. Note to farm girl: sort yourself out, you may be popular with tourists but eventually you 'll be out of business."

"Real mixed bag. We had 4 starters and the Sunday dinners (Chicken and beef). First the bad, the chicken thogh meatballs were shocking. No flavour, tasted sour, really bad. Tempura prawns were OK, but 4 prawns for £10 is really poor value. The seaweed that came with the prawns was chewy and not Crispy. Burnt ends and Sriricha ribs were good. Sunday dinner was really good. Meal type: Dinner"

"imaginative, fun night!. we were recently invited to the birthday of a friend to yamal alsham. first I was not sure to go, but glad that I did, as I was really happy all night surprised. it is easy to get from the subway station and there are free parking if you need it. the personal is really charming and welcoming. I love absolutely all foods, really well to eat, a whole variety of delicious, more-ish mezze. the beginning of the evening was perfect, so relaxed and pleasant and then it just got better! the bauchtänzer came and entertained the whole restaurant, only brilliant! such a great night, I will definitely be back at the earliest opportunity and can not recommend it very much! you have to try!"

"Popped in for some food before a gig in town. The fixed menu at £11.95 for two courses excellent value and it wasn’t basic dishes I had calamari and steak bavette with rocket/basil/Parmesan. Couple of draught beers that weren’t on the menu that were worth checking out. A lager and a hoppier version as well. The location of the restaurant right at Momument ideal for a grab of food on a night out. Service was sometimes less attentive than it could be but overall a nice meal to start the night with."

"Wonderful food reasonably priced great hosts again top marks to Vinod and the team hear, had tandoori roti lamb chops succulent tasty not like the hard leather at some places masala Dosa is crispy and fresh sambar spot on and the coconut chutney perfect spinach and chicken curry tasty and fresh, chicken tikka masala traditional and creamy chicken jalfrezi moreish and the egg cury great, not to mention a proper Indian chai in an authentic metal cup with bowl just how it should be, ambience is great unhurried but the team especially Vinod are attentive, met the owner who is more concerned just like the team on you as a customer enjoying your evening and meal, have been lunch time and evening and recommend anytime, they were also super busy with takeaways but you do not notice this all food served fresh hot and perfect just wish see had space for desert and if you ask for specifics for instance I asked for my jalfrezi to be extra spicy they did just that, also asked about my next visits meal deffinetly recommended if you fancy a good clean authentic Indian meal, can either go with the family or equally with a few friends it is homely and also a good place for many occasions. Do not mind paying for quality as the quantity is great and it is not heavily priced like some central London restaurants. Yet again I tried to take some photos of the dishes but as fast as it comes out from point of order it goes down just as quick, also to add note you do not get upset stomach after a meal a massive thumbs up and thank you to the team and chef."

"I wanted to try this restaurant because it reminded me of the meals I had as an expat in Kolkata. I was curious to see how authentic the dishes would be compared to the average curry geared towards Western tastes. The restaurant has a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The food is good—very close to what I remember from Kolkata—but when I compare it to my grandmother's cooking, I have to admit that no one does it quite as well as she does. The prices are reflective of Mayfair, but they weren’t unreasonable, and I had a very pleasant afternoon. I will happily return."

"I’ve been to Kintan at Oxford Circus before, but this is the first time I went to the branch. The food was really great as expected. But the service was a bit odd. The waiters kept on interrupting us asking whether they can bring the bill, almost as if they wanted to get rid of us. That was very annoying, because we a bunch of friends meeting after about a year, and we were trying have some quality conversations, and it’s not ideal when you keep getting disturbed every 3 minutes…. In the end we had to tell him to stop interrupting us and that we will call him when we are ready to pay. I have loved in Japan for 5 years, and this is definitely not the Japanese kind of service. In Japan almost all restaurants have a calling bell, and the waiters do not disturb or eavesdrop on their customers’ conversations , and come to the table only when they are needed. If Kintan wants to provide a truly Japanese yaki-niku experience, they should learn some this Japanese service standards as well."

"more amazing place and good eating, but I was recently with my son and, although I really think that the staff a table for us without reservation, I was a little disappointed about a waiter who was clearly excited when I was complaining about the burger of my sohne. I ordered a barkburger with hand cutting chips for me and exactly the same for my son, but smaller (after the suggestion of the waiter). the waiter also tries to sell the simple burger with charalat, perhaps because with the children not really satisfied with nice, but I was clear when I said that was not my sad case, so I was happy to take the grindburger without alteration....or I thought that I was clear because I had received what I ordered for me, but my I will definitely be kinder back or because it was an amazing job"

"This place is very nice with excellent food and delicatessen but the girl serving hasn’t got a clue on what she is selling, as matter of fact I asked about an Italian cheese that she had right under her nose but she told me that they didn’t have it in store. "Supposedly Butlers restaurant in the Chesterfield Hotel is known as a fine dining restaurant but in actuality it is a huge, mismanaged disappointment in almost every respect. One is at first we were shocked to see one half of the nicely appointed dining room permanently closed and out of service. We now understand after experiencing the Butlers food and service, it is apparent the regularly dining public is staying away. Why? Well to just name a few of the startling inferior aspects of the Butlers..... First let me assure the reader our traveling family was expecting a well prepared and well served expensive meal which was our goal. A goal we had no problem in fulfilling elsewhere in renowned London restaurants. Caesar salads were served with zero dressing with no attempt to reconcile this lack despite bringing it to the attention of the otherwise friendly but poorly trained staff. Most of our party of eight ordered salads but half of them came 15-20 minutes after the others were delivered. Some main dishes were barely warm and the sauce for some seemed to be nothing but plain unadulterated bouillon or Vegemite. and the accompanying potato mash was totally unheated. Plus after pointing this out and waiting 15 minutes for a warm mash, they served lukewarm mash again. One of our party wanted tequila on the rocks in a salt rimmed glass. The maîtresse de was dumbfounded and said just use the sale on the table which is impossible to do in a filled glass. There is much more lacking at Butlers, but suffice it to say avoid Butlers like the plague. I take no joy in reporting this and merely wished for an upscale and happily memorable dinner."

"Been here numerous times to buy food (sandwich etc) for flights. I usually visit in the mornings and they are open early, are generally efficient at the tills and well stocked in the mornings. Food is normal Pret sandwiches and salads of the same standard as other Pret stores. On the last visit I was very pleased they are serving again the baguette of brie, tomato and mozzarella which I still can’t get at my local Pret. My baguette was lovely and fresh and my husband had the bacon/egg baguette, which he enjoyed. I also had a mango/lime pot and a dark chocolate and almond cookie (these are lovely). One disappointment if coming for breakfast is that Pret has stopped making porridge with non-dairy milk (no idea why as plant eating is on the increase). Although there is seating in this store it is quite cramped as it is always busy with people queuing and the seats are around the queue/entrance so not the most relaxing places to sit and eat and wait but great for take-away."

"The service at Thai Square Islington was absolutely appalling for my husband's birthday. We had to wait 50 minutes per course, and to make matters worse, one of the waiters was seen going into the kitchen and coming out with his mouth full of food. The staff seemed unapologetic and did not make any effort to rectify our missing food or mistakes in our order. The food was below standard, over seasoned and very salty, with no consistency between identical dishes. Overall, it was a diabolical performance from the staff and I would not recommend this restaurant. We had such a terrible experience that the restaurant removed the service charge themselves. We will never be going back."

"amazingly fresh pizza in kentish town! from the first sighted east pizza looked enthusiastic. in the room looked warm and cozy and the service was perfect. for my starter I had fried squid and aioli, which was boiled for perfection (not rubbery), for my main I had the spicy sausage and brokkoli with cream sauce, which was surprisingly light for creamy, and tasted delicious. pizza east and homeslice will be my regular pizza repair!"

"I was really disappointed with the service. It felt like no one knew what they were doing. Although we received a warm welcome and our orders were taken promptly, that was the extent of the service we experienced. The restaurant wasn't busy, and there were plenty of staff around, but we barely received any attention. We didn't get offered any additional drinks, and since we were there to celebrate a 30th birthday, we were hoping to enjoy plenty of cocktails. Eventually, we had to flag someone down to request more drinks ourselves. As for the food, it was just average—edible but nothing special. The ambiance of the place was nice, but the subpar service really ruined the overall experience for us. I don't think I'll be returning."

"Booking for 11:30 am Sunday morning. Only serving brunch, which isn't normally an issue, but the brunch menu offerings were a ridiculously small selection. A couple of actual mains and then a bunch of sides. Also, no one stated that there would ONLY be brunch on offer at the time of booking or confirmation (spoke with someone on the phone for confirmation). The waiter, while genuinely nice, seemed completely lost. We decided to wait until 12:00 for the lunch menu, and still had to ask a couple of times to see the lunch menu so we could order when able. The roast sirloin and fish and chips were great, but the pork was very dry. It wasn't very busy but seemed utter chaos. The other tables around us were having issues getting anyone over to place orders or ask for additional items (even had to ask for salt and pepper, not already on the tables). We go there often enough, and it's normally very good. This was hopefully just an off day for everyone. Will definitely go back. Suggest though that if they're only serving brunch until 12:00 that there should be more on offer. The Summerhouse brunch menu puts this one to shame."
