"I'm not sure I liked this place very much. I had a reservation before arriving, and I was NOT notified at the time of making the reservation that it was limited to an hour and a half. At the 45-minute mark, the hostess informed us that we have 45 minutes left on our booking, which absolutely ruined the rest of the 45 minutes we even had left because now we had to think about where to go on a Saturday night. The cocktails were decent. I liked the interiors a lot (I've been to a lot of places designed by Phillipe Starck so it was nice to go to another one). The service was patchy and I think one of the waiters was having a pretty bad day. People were sufficiently dressed up to come here, so that was nice to see. I personally wouldn't come back. It's strange to have an 1.5 hours per table policy, even with a reservation, outside of Covid. I'm sure the staff tried their best but meh."

"Maybe my expectation for the vegan night the bread street brasserie had risen too high, but I was quite disappointed. for me it seemed very average. I would have been happy if I had found these vegan options on a normal menu, but wanted more of this as we had made a special trip just to try their vegan menu. there were some highlights to eat. our appetizers were both tasty and well presented, my darling bahji and my partner a grilled brot with Mediterranean vegetables. we also had a banan feather roll dessert with date karamell, which was delicious (I will steal the idea and make it myself). my partner had a noodle dish from which his comment on the sauce was that it tasted like a cheap glass sweet and sour. I had a sun-dried tomatenburger who was in order, but the lawn Slave with which it came was bad, tasting nothing but soyyoghurt. I also found it hard to choose three dishes that worked together as a meal, so I feel like the menu is not well thought out. the service was also something missing. the waiting staff was very friendly and helpful, but the headkeeper was really uninterested, bordering on the rude. we came 10 minutes earlier than our table was booked and were released into the bar to wait with the promise that we will be collected when our table was ready. 30 minutes later, he had not yet come to find us, we went to ask again and then sat. not a big thing, but added to the general sense that bread street brasserie vegane night was not the experience we hoped."

"We experienced disappointing service during our recent visit. Our table wasn’t cleared properly; we still had leftover fries on it while we were enjoying dessert. The service was also extremely slow, and we had to ask multiple times for water. We've dined at this restaurant many times over the years, including twice this month, but we've noticed a significant decline in service. The prices no longer seem justified given the experience. It's unfortunate because the restaurant offers great views, but we’ve decided not to return again."

"I went to this historical pub for dinner. The service at the bar was just okay, with two young girls more focused on their conversation than serving customers. The beer was good, but it's hard to go wrong with beer. They only serve pies, and while the meal was nicely presented, it wasn't hot enough and we've had better pies in London. Overall, it might be a better place to grab a beer rather than have a full meal."

"Excellent three course meal.... Thoroughly enjoyed our meal, start to finish. We had calimari, halloumi, chicken shish and baklava, each course was amazing, the service was great, it was lunchtime so fairly quiet but lady serving was attentive and helpful..... Great wine choice, although a bit pricey, great veiws, would be a great place to visit when the weather is good to access the outside. Clean, loved the rope lights, will definitely be returning UPDATE: Love this place, definitely had become our favourite restaurant, have been coming here as often as our budget allows UPDATE: Honestly this place never disappoints....... Great outdoor area to enjoy the sunshine too if you are near try it, you won't be disappointed!"

"So at first it look really cute outside and in, the menu seemed to have a nice selection and staff seemed friendly. Then we ordered and it arrived within 10 minutes during a busy lunch service (not cooked fresh then) and my burger was SO dry and overdone (not that anyone asked how I liked it done) that it crumbled when I cut the burger in half. I had to ask for mayo, ketchup and salt pepper for the chips and to make the burger edible. But it took the waitress 20 minutes to do that, and then we had to wait 40 minutes for: someone remembering our table, asking for the bill delivering the bill and paying. Shocking. Never going back."

"Having been to Moo previously and as I was passing me and the girlfriend fancied a cocktail as they were advertised for £6 a go on the front window, why not! Went in and told the waitress we were only drinking and she said it...was OK. We sat down and looked at the cocktail menu. Menu wasn't clear what cocktails were £6 each so I went up to ask. Guy behind the bar just said the classics were included so fair enough. Went back to my table, looked at the menu but none were classified as classics so a bit confused went back up to the bar to ask and was intercepted by the waitress. Don't know if she was having a bad day but she was really quite rude and abrupt in advising me that it was actually a restaurant and thus table service and that I should go and sit down and wait to be served. (maybe don't advertise £6 cocktails on the window if your that restaurant orientated and also dont have a bar there if its just a restaurant). Went to sit down (didn't want to get told off again) and chatted with my girlfriend and told her I thought the waitress was pretty spiky. Now looked over to see the waitress serving the table next to us, caught her eye and got a look of a face like thunder lol (if you're gonna be that stressy maybe look for a new vocation away from hospitality anyway when she came over she took our order of 2 porn star martinis. 5 minutes later, the drinks turned up and I have to say that taste of the drinks were definitely as sour as the waitresses attitude. Not a very good balance of taste at all. Much better places to spend your money on brick lane. Thank moo very much!"

"there are many chain steak restaurants in london, and sometimes they can hit a bit and miss. we decided to try an independent steak restaurant with very good reviews this time bife in aldgate. bife offers Argentine steaks and they have not disappointed us. the steak was high-quality, was cooked to perfection, and as we asked what can sometimes be a rare thing. the chimichurri sauce was also delicious! valuable, it is not cheap, but decent, the quality of the meat we had. the waiting staff are attentive and the atmosphere was relaxed and returned that we enjoyed."

"For my meal, I had lentil soup with bread as a starter, chicken with haggis for the main course, and toffee cheesecake for dessert. The food was delicious. The wedding party was great, with good music from the DJ. The breakfast buffet the next day was also lovely. I want to thank all the staff at the Torrance Hotel for a wonderful stay and for making my sister's wedding special. I will definitely be back for a drink and dinner in the future. The hotel is easily accessible by bus from my home in North Motherwell. Thank you again to everyone at the Torrance Hotel."
