"Our waiter, Maloj, was attentive, polite, thoughtful, and friendly. He made sure to accommodate all allergy requirements, even bringing out the meal for the allergenic guest first and double-checking that everything was correct. The food was outstanding, cooked exactly as requested. The timing was perfect, with a nearly seamless transition between finishing our starters and starting our main courses. Overall, the service was smooth. The only downside was the restroom facilities; while they were clean, they did need some maintenance."

"We had late lunch on Monday : did not book the table. Not crowded. Staff are generally friendly but bit slow service. I think less staff are working on weekdays. Salad bar some are fresh some are not fresh. And looks like the chicken portions small than before. Still good tasty toilet was clean and lots of space for car parking you need to enter your car reg at front till. Lunch set also available but we ordered separated main and drink each. Total we paid around £40 !! I think it’s still good price !!"

"brilliant eating, fresh and well cooked we had a good mix of eating and everything was delicious! very clean and tidy and beautiful decor. the staff is very helpful and good for all including the families, it is very much the small things. the baby changing area had a place to sit for the children, so mamas and fathers can use the facilities without worrying where the children sit, very clever and soo helpful! my young one didn't seem to bother! beer garden was big and clean and simply beautiful. could spend a lot of time here. good choice of the beer on the hahn also! would absolutely recommend it and will definitely go again if in the opposite!"

"I haven't been to Whiteley in a while and I must say, it's even better than I remember. My mother and I were greeted warmly and given a choice of seating. Once we were seated, we were promptly offered a selection of drinks and handed our menus. The service was exceptional and the staff was very friendly. The decor was lovely and created a peaceful atmosphere throughout the restaurant. The menu had a variety of options at affordable prices, although some dishes were slightly more expensive, possibly due to the location. Our food arrived hot and well-presented in a timely manner. My mother and I agreed that we would definitely return to this Harvester in the future."

"Took my mum for breakfast before a Saturday grocery shop. Breakfast was tasty, hot and our waitress, Freda, was wonderful, attentive and professional. Mum had the vegetarian and I had the unlimited. Good variety including the avocado which was a nice, healthy touch. Hash browns were crispy and well drained and our eggs were well done on request. First time having a Harvester breakfast will certainly come back again and mum enjoyed it, so I couldn't ask for more than that."

"Not been here for a while and visited Sunday lunchtime, we had not booked and the restaurant was already busy so not sure if we would get a table but we were very quickly ushered to a table by a very friendly front of house receptionist, our order was then taken by a very nice girl called Briony who then got our drinks and helped us to pick the salad which they have to plate for you, the meal came pretty quickly and all of us enjoyed our meal and were so full we could not even look at the desert menu lol , we will most certainly return again in the near future"

"My husband ordered a pot of tea but only received a cup. When we questioned this, we were informed that a pot was only available with the unlimited tea option. Interestingly, I noticed that I had been charged for unlimited tea, so I'm not sure why we didn’t receive it. After placing our food order, we waited around 40 minutes for our breakfast, only for it to arrive incorrect. We had both ordered fried eggs, but instead received poached eggs. When I brought this up with the waitress, she talked over me, and while she offered to bring us a replacement, I was reluctant to accept since we were already very hungry and didn’t want to wait even longer. Overall, the food was bland and quite unappetizing. Additionally, the option for self-service continental breakfast was no longer available, which used to be a welcome choice while waiting for hot food. In summary, both the food and customer service were disappointing, and I wouldn’t be inclined to return or recommend this place to others."

"We have dined at Harvester several times before, including this location in Amesbury. Unfortunately, this visit may have been our last. The food quality was poor, and the service was slow. It no longer felt like good value for money. The Mac n cheese lacked sauce and was just overcooked pasta with melted cheese on top. The kids' chicken strips were small, chewy, and dry, with the smallest piece being only 1cm long. My wife's steak was burnt on the outside and tough on the inside. My brie and tomato tart was soggy and undercooked. The drinks took over 30 minutes to arrive at our table, even though they were sitting on the bar for 10 minutes. On our way back, we opted for Pizza Hut instead, which was a completely different experience. Fast service, delicious Mac n cheese, and perfectly cooked pizza. I would recommend going to Pizza Hut over Harvester in Amesbury."

"When we arrived at the restaurant, we noticed a few people waiting to be seated. There was some chaos as people were pushing into the line to hand in their car registrations at the entrance. It appeared that the restaurant was short-staffed. We saw a customer accidentally getting covered in beer and wine by a waitress, but she handled the situation well and quickly moved the customer to a new table. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, she continued to work efficiently. Unfortunately, my rare sirloin steak was overcooked and had a lot of tough, chewy parts, which was disappointing. Overall, the dining experience was not enjoyable, and I was glad to leave. It didn't seem like good value for money, especially for a Sunday evening. I don't plan on returning to this restaurant."

"Callie our server was lazy, unhelpful and blatantly ignoring our requests. We watched for over 45 minutes whilst our food was sat getting cold. He did nothing when I asked why are food was taking so long. In the end I had to speak to another waitress Berta, who finally got us our food which had been ready for over 30 minutes. "my wife and i live in eastbourne, however we make the journey to this Harvester in Polegate instead due to many factors the main one being the workers. we’ve visited this particular harvester 3 times so far as a couple and each time had a different server, ALL who made the entire visit more comfortable and easy! we had to order slightly awkward vegan things too and that’s enough to make any server annoyed but on every occasion we’ve had nothing but smiles and a ‘can do’ attitude (as cringey as that sounds). a special shout out to Nicole who helped us on this trip particularly who dealt with our requests with no push back in the slightest and even spoke to the kitchen specially for us to make sure there was no confusion! "Soft drink was flat, and straw leaves horrid taste. Partner is gluten free diet, separate menu, advertising all day breakfast, but not on main menu. No gluten free toast, bacon very salty. I ordered classic burger with no bacon. Served with bacon, very greasy, and no real taste. Several times been and closed. I used to use blue light card here, but only available for take out meals.?? "The restaurant had a terrible smell as we arrived. Asked the waitress what it was, and was told that it's the drains/sewage needing repairing. We had left it too late to rebook anywhere else for friends 60th birthday lunch, so went ahead hoping the smell wasn't throughout the restraunt, however, unfortunately, it was awful throughout. We couldn't eat our main course and left soon afterwards. Very disappointed. I've since contacted Harvester and had a reply from Manager, they apologised, saying that the problem is ongoing. I'm surprised that they hadn't shut the place down. Since then I've contacted head office and still awaiting a reply. I will never go there again, especially if the problem is ongoing."

"the service was first brilliant, unfortunately the lady who took our order to the left. they didn't let us know or hand us over to a new server, which meant that we couldn't get the attention of someone else as they were all busy with their tables. we went into the cash to pay the bill which we did not make, but the service behind the cash was not so pleasant. the food was nice and quickly delivered, hot and tasty. Perhaps the cook that came out of the kitchen to serve the salatable, could have covered his dirty top and have been a bit more helpful. overall the experience was good and although I addressed some points, I would come back."

"This experience was an absolute disaster. We joined a queue at the door which wasn't moving which we thought ridiculous as we were on time for our reservation. We asked those in front of us if they had reservations, they did not were waiting for a table. We were then seated placed our order. The drinks starters arrived promptly but having ordered a bottle of white wine I requested a wine cooler. I was brought a plastic jug of ice as they didn't have a proper cooler. After our starters we waited, waited, the tables around us started to empty so I asked our server what was the delay in our main course being served. She went away returned to say that the expected delay between starter main course was 30 minutes that we had been waiting 25 minutes. The main couse was not yet ready. The main course arrived all 3 meals were barely tepid on cold plates. Within a minute we all decided this was unacceptable called the server to complain requested the manager. An assistant manager came to the table. He basically had no excuse, offered his apologies agreed that we would not have to pay the bill. This had no impact on our disappointment as we had only eaten our starters had now lost our appetites. I would also like to comment that my main course choice was Whole Tail Scampi. I am in my 60s from Essex where scampi has been landed sold for generations. The food served did not resemble any scampi that I have ever eaten. Some of the pieces had visible dark grey fish skin which scampi does not have. In my opinion this was processed fish, probably Monkfish, processed coated to resemble scampi. What the term Wholetail is supposed to mean I have no idea but there were certainly no tails evident in my portion of this food. Altogether a terrible evening caused by the inadequacy of the staff to ensure quality service."
