"This was my second time dining here, and once again I faced a long wait for a table. This time it was an hour, and during the wait, we were only offered a drink, which I think should have been complimentary given the lengthy delay. Fortunately, we managed to find a spot to sit while waiting, but many others who arrived after us had to stand around. Honestly, I might have decided to leave if we hadn’t found a place to wait. However, once we were seated, the service and food were good, and the atmosphere was lively. I’d love to return, but the long wait for a table is definitely a turn-off, especially since it happened both times I visited."

"We called in here by chance and were not disappointed. A relaxed vibe, tasty food and friendly staff. We were asked if we wanted breakfast or brunch and we chose brunch. My husband had the Breakfast bun and I had the wild mushrooms served on toasted bread. Both were so tasty! We were offered water for the table, tea was served in a pot and I had the Elderflower fizz, which took a while to arrive but our waiter who originally took the order swiftly chased it up. The vibe is cool, relaxed and the decor quirky. Large glass windows allow you to people watch as you eat. Prices are reasonable for London with two meals, a tea and a drink coming in at £43. Seating can accommodate larger groups and also couples."

"Sunday lunch was underwhelming the veggie stack resembled a sad vegetarian burger patty with overcooked vegetables and the chocolate fondant was more like a dry sponge. Wouldn 't be surprised if it was all defrosted in the microwave. Service was a well intentioned but calamitous performance by uninterested and under trained staff. The ambience was raucous. It was, however, cheap; you get what you pay for, I guess. Would not return nor recommend."

"Food is a bit over priced for what it is. I had a cheeseburger and fries. Nothing fancy about it so didn't warrant the £16 price tag. Dessert was lovely but obviously a microwave job. (Sticky toffee pudding) My friend wanted a caramel latte but was offered vanilla as replacement. When it arrived it tasted of cinnamon. We reminded the waitress that we'd ordered vanilla, she said yes. It's spiced vanilla But we hadn't been told that. We had to ASK her to replace it! Not great customer service. Lovely interior and well designed. Very large place with big garden out back- they had tables blocking the door way so not sure how you'd get out there?????"

"the bottlecrue is a fantastic place in a picturesque environment, conveniently 2 minutes walk from the St paul Metro Station. the bar is divided into several rooms so that the capacity for an immersive and cosmopolitan nightlife experience, with a separate breakout space for rent and private parties at conferences and workshops available, I also think. they make an excellent menu, plus a special vegan / vegetarian menu if required. the staff is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. they went out of their way to ensure that our event ran as smoothly as possible and completely accepted our needs, even our own private waiter in the night organized. could not recommend this place enough!"

"My friend really enjoyed their burger, but the spicy chicken wings I ordered were quite disappointing. They had a kind of stale taste, as if they'd been fried once and then fried again. I'm not sure what the issue was, but they didn't meet my expectations, especially considering the price. The chips were decent, though. On a positive note, the staff was friendly, and there was a good selection of non-alcoholic beverages."

"We recently visited Maxwell's as a group of five, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The atmosphere was lively, the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable. The chicken wings and frickles were especially amazing—crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The menu had something for everyone, and everything we ordered was served hot and full of flavor. What really stood out to us was how accommodating the staff were, especially with our friends who brought their baby. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, providing high chairs and helping us settle in with ease. Their attentiveness and friendliness made the whole experience even more enjoyable, and we felt well taken care of the entire time. Thank you, Maxwell's, for a lovely evening! We can’t wait to return."

"Had a nice time at Lantana Cafe, but not sure it’ll be my go to spot. The food was good every dish tasted fresh and the portions were generous enough; the coffee was also good. The fair is standard Australian brunch, i.e., corn fritters or a hip take on the full English. Service was somewhat lacking our table wasn’t ready when we arrived for our booking and we had to wait. The staff was not particularly enthusiastic, but at least didn’t hover. And we were given our check without asking for it well in advance closing time. In short, while the food was good and the place nicely designed, it lacks the hospitality I’d want to give it the full five stars. It is, however, a reliable brunch spot where we were able to get a table not too long in advance, and in London that counts for something."

"I rated the restaurant on earlier visit when I had their normal menu. her eating was absolutely delicious. unfortunately I went there christmas eve and online booked was not aware that they only served a set menu. because my family did not eat on the menu except truthahn that we had the next day, we decided not to stay. the staff was very gracious and we felt terrible, but I recommend this restaurant when it served its normal menu."

"Visited on a Tuesday evening. The food was beyond dry like it was left overs from the weekend. For starters we had burnt end. They were more like lumps of charcoal. I get there burnt end these were incinerated. For mains we had the brisket, again really really dry. It was a struggle to eat it. The chips were the only nice part.No one checked on us while eating. Then when paying the bill when asked how it was we say it was ok ish no follow up to this by staff member. Couldn't be bothered to argue as my partner and I were beyond disappointed. We just wanted to get home as we had travelled to visit on glowing reviews. Will not be revisiting any time in the future."

"Heaven help you if you want to select two starters from the £19.17 lunch menu and no main course. I was told the Polish owners rules don’t allow it. So much for pleasing your customers. No doubt it’s something to do with the IT system yet another example of technology trimphing over real service (as opposed to the PR version of service). In the end I had to pay for each of the starters and guess what? The total came to just over £19.17. Petty and ungenerous behaviour I call it."

"Came here to use wifi, as my home is struggling with the internet connection at the moment. I was looked after by Lorenzo, who is a great bartender/server. He was truly welcoming, attentive, friendly and just simply great with customers. Had tea and scone, which was great! They've got paper straws, which is always a bonus for me. I hope they've got other sustainable measures too. ; Also, two people walked in, looked at the menu, then wanted to walk out, but they were stopped by a team member asking them how they could make them happy. Just simply WOW!!"

"Mezzorama offers a delightful dining experience. The restaurant was almost full when we visited, filled with couples and small families, without any rowdy groups. The food and wine were both excellent, and the service was top-notch. The only suggestion I have is for them to add more dessert options that are not ice cream-based. Although my partner's steak was cooked rare instead of medium as requested, I'm sure they would have gladly fixed it if we had asked. Overall, Mezzorama offers great value for the price."

"This year, we decided to celebrate Christmas at this restaurant. Our group consisted of 23 people, including 4 children. The team and food were exceptional. The staff were friendly and very attentive, and the food was delicious, particularly the starters. A big thank you to everyone at the Mediterranean for ensuring that we had a fantastic Christmas Day! "Davy's wine bars have been a part of the London scene for more than 30 years. They have a deserved reputation for good wine and well-cooked simple fare. We were disappointed, though, in Habit. The decor is typical of Davy's, having the appearance of what I imagine a city coffee house might have been like. There are plenty of oak and barrels about the place. There are bar and restaurant areas with lots of alcoves and semi private rooms. In times gone by, a Davy's would have been jam packed at 8 o'clock on a Friday evening but there were just four people watching TV in the bar area, a group of six dining in one of the rooms and my wife and me. It is true the Rio Olympics on TV were a counter attraction but ... The menu is basic and brief. We chose crab toast to start. This comprised two slices of barely toasted bread spread with marie rose sauce and piled high with crab meat. The whole thing was topped with a fennel, avocado and chilli concoction which in colour was grey to the point of looking unappetising, and whilst it did not taste unpleasant, the fennel masked the avocado. Our main course was fish and thrice cooked chips. The fish was fine, although the batter could have been crispier and the portion larger. Cooking chips three times is something of a foodie fad that is fast becoming a cliche. The chips were soggy and waxy rather than crispy and fluffy inside. The accompanying mushy peas were well minted and tasty but an unfortunate luminous green in colour. Service was prompt and cheerful seemingly in apology for the lack of ambience. The bill, including a glass of wine each was a reasonable enough £50. I can't help feeling, though, there is better to be had elsewhere for not much more money. I hope Davy's can put some quality into the food and some vibrancy into the atmosphere and that in so doing they would attract more customers and create a venue that would capture some of the popularity of Davy's from the 1980s."

"really great atmosphere, eating, coffee and personal. the birthday of a friend and the personal manager went beyond and beyond to make it special. only the reason I dropped a star is the container I took away the rest, was tied in the Doggy bag and so the food went through and stained my clothes and shoes (despite that the container itself was completely closed.)"

"I can here on a busy Saturday, however I had a reservation and I was very disappointed. Firstly the service was terrible, we had booked a table through open table and we still had to wait over half an hour for our table to be ready. When we were finally seated the terrible service continued. As soon as we were sat down and got our menus they asked us our order, some of us even had our jackets on. I felt quite rushed. We ordered our food quickly and waited over 45 minutes till dishes started to arrive. Many of the dishes were missing. One of the members of our party ordered a pornstar martini which came half empty and the shot of prosecco was almost non existent. We then complained to the manager who said ‘don’t worry about it we will get you a new one and you can keep that one as an apology’. However the new pornstar martini did not turn up till we had almost finished our mains. The mains were luke warm and they forgot so many parts of our dishes, for example forgetting the wraps for the fajitas, the dips with our starters and many more. As the evening came to a close I was glad to be leaving. We asked for our bill and when I checked it I found out that we had been charged twice for the pornstar martini and all the other extras we never got. We asked for this to be removed which the waitresses seemed hesistant so had to wait to speak to the manager. The manager was attentive and removed that charger however it wasn’t a good experience. I won’t be return any time soon."
