"I had been to the Belgravia Boisdale previously and had an excellent evening thought that the Mayfair branch would be similarly enjoyable. However the manager suggested that as I'd used opentable's 50% off deal, we had come for the money not for the jazz, and therefore deserved a table further from the jazz, versus diners who had booked through another site. Given I'd been to another branch previously, and had actually come for the jazz, this wasn't particularly appreciated. The jazz then wasn't jazz mostly smooth covers of pop/recent chart hits. My food was good, my partner's food wasn't."

"This was my second time dining here, and once again I faced a long wait for a table. This time it was an hour, and during the wait, we were only offered a drink, which I think should have been complimentary given the lengthy delay. Fortunately, we managed to find a spot to sit while waiting, but many others who arrived after us had to stand around. Honestly, I might have decided to leave if we hadn’t found a place to wait. However, once we were seated, the service and food were good, and the atmosphere was lively. I’d love to return, but the long wait for a table is definitely a turn-off, especially since it happened both times I visited."

"Easy to get to, nice seating. Service was slow, expensive meals with chips!! Poor choice of food for children. Poor quality burger for child's meal, poor choice of lettuce with cheap quality buns. Hubby had a large burger but he was very disappointed with his. Having said that, my tuna was delicious, nicely cooked well presented, nicely portioned. If all standards followed this dish, stars awarded would be higher. Overall disappointing experience due to higher price comes with higher expectations! We will not be returning anytime soon. "The restaurant has a colorful and lively atmosphere with beautiful wall papers, decorations, and colorful window displays. Even though we were not initially looking for dessert, we couldn't resist trying the chai latte, raspberry mousse, and tiramisú desserts. The tiramisú was light and fluffy, reminiscent of another great Italian place we had tried in California. The raspberry tart was a delightful explosion of flavors, with each layer perfectly complementing the next. The chai latte was smooth and just the right amount of spiced, providing a calming and enjoyable finish to our meal. I highly recommend this place for a date or special treat, you deserve it!"

"Really really disgusted by the customer service, stopped by with my parents, half of the restaurant was empty due to the bad weather condition. We had waited 10 minutes at the door outside and then was seated outdoor, when waitress (or manager not sure) came to our table, I kindly said that we all want a bottle of wine with starters as a start, she very rudely told me to leave as the table was for dinner, did not offer another space, she left the table without an apology. I have never seen anyone this rude. Absolutely upset by this type of manner. Never ever going there again and will recommend everyone I know not to go."

"We waited an hour for our food to come. When it came it was cold. I sent mine back which then took a further 30 minutes to come out with a fresh one. My partner said his full English was not good quality and was also cold. There is no allergen information on the menu next to the dishes. Was very busy but seemed very understaffed and as though they were not prepared for a busy service. It was very clean and the manager was good. The bill was altered. Personally I wouldn’t go back for breakfast. We wanted to try something new but were disappointed."

"Food is a bit over priced for what it is. I had a cheeseburger and fries. Nothing fancy about it so didn't warrant the £16 price tag. Dessert was lovely but obviously a microwave job. (Sticky toffee pudding) My friend wanted a caramel latte but was offered vanilla as replacement. When it arrived it tasted of cinnamon. We reminded the waitress that we'd ordered vanilla, she said yes. It's spiced vanilla But we hadn't been told that. We had to ASK her to replace it! Not great customer service. Lovely interior and well designed. Very large place with big garden out back- they had tables blocking the door way so not sure how you'd get out there?????"

As for my main course, the salmon was bland and mushy, and the rice was overcooked and clumpy. The supposed creole chicken had no discernible flavor. "GBK staff are friendly, our food arrived promptly and it was tasty. But it's close to £20 per head for a drink, burger and fries. There was no queue to get in, but a near 20 minute wait to place you order. You have to rejoin the queue to refresh or order additional drinks. We spent 20 minutes eating, 15 minutes waiting for food and about 35 minutes in queues! I'd get the advantage of this model if the food were reasonably priced, but it's not. There are numerous alternatives to GBK, I won't be hurrying back."

"Heaven help you if you want to select two starters from the £19.17 lunch menu and no main course. I was told the Polish owners rules don’t allow it. So much for pleasing your customers. No doubt it’s something to do with the IT system yet another example of technology trimphing over real service (as opposed to the PR version of service). In the end I had to pay for each of the starters and guess what? The total came to just over £19.17. Petty and ungenerous behaviour I call it."
