"We ordered the wellington and it was over cooked. Two of the pieces were almost grey.. probably because it was standing under the heating lamp for more than 10 minutes before they served it. The mash was also cold. When we told the waiter he replied.. but it's only these two pieces that are over cooked right? And he kind of walked away. Paying 215 pounds for cold over cooked food was not a great experience. Bit of a tourist trap really."

It was delicious but served lukewarm. I was disappointed in this restaurant. You can get superior food and service at a high end chain steakhouse in the USA ie Morton’s, Del Frisco’s, Capital Grille etc. I guess I expected too much."

"Overall, my second visit to this restaurant was disappointing in terms of flavor intensity. It seems like they may have changed chefs, as my starter, which resembled kebab, lacked the distinctive taste of lamb and spice. The Achar chicken was decent, but the Niramian side dish was overcooked and lacked flavor, while the sauce didn't complement the potatoes well. The cumin-flavored potato side dish was also lacking in flavor and didn't live up to the standard of my previous visit a few months ago."

"The Amaranto is like home from home for us as we've been going regularly for years. Unfortunately we hadn't been able to go for a while due to covid. Yesterday the service was average at best. The waiter informed us that due to covid and Brexit they needed to train more waiters, and that was the reason they were so under staffed. While I understand this, I'm not sure why they would then add 15% service charge to the bill knowing the service wasn't up to scratch. The desserts were unreasonably expensive, although they were delicious. The lounge looked dusty and the doors had finger prints all over them. I will not be rushing to go back any time soon. I must say, food was the same high standard and we thoroughly enjoyed what we ordered, thank you chef. As we were paying premium prices, we expected premium service and environment, unfortunately we get it."

"I love how accommodating and attentive staff were as it was my graduation meal so they really helped make it an even more memorable and enjoyable experience. We dined using the set menu priced at 37.50 GBP per person which was amazing value for money. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food as it was flavoursome and beautifully presented. I wish I remembered the staff’s name but I got carried away with a few glasses of wine courtesy of the staff who even brought out a surprise desert to celebrate my academic achievement. They even brought out a second for photoshoot purposes!"

Veronica was excellent with her suggestions and recommended, not to mention her humor and her gast friendry as a whole! rhiannon was so beautiful and friendly to us, so patient with all the little questions and made the night so smooth for us. She even helped us to make some amazing pictures to immortalize the experience. eating was brilliant; absolutely delicious, came in good time, and very well prepared. compliments to the chefs! special word for the lychee sorbet and yuzu eis, for dying. also the beautiful birthday desert they gave us was fantastic! overall a brilliant experience 20/10"

The garlic bread with cheese was also lovely. The menu is extremely diverse with plenty of excellent choices. We were greeted warmly and the members of staff were extremely kind. The place was clean. We attended this place again, namely in March 2022. The place was extremely clean. They were not doing food. Thus, if you want to attend this place, please note that they only do food at certain times. As usual, the members of staff were attentive, friendly and extremely welcoming."

"Living 15 mins up the road, I'd wanted to try the restaurant for a while and opted for an Uber Eats delivery. We had the cold mezze and hot mezze which came to around £30. Luckily I had an Uber discount voucher because this was one of the most disappointing meals I've had. The portion sizes were extremely mean for the price 2 small pieces of sausage, a few sticks of halloumi and some other rather dry, unappealing, bits and pieces for the hot selection; and for the cold part, the hummus was missing and the rest was underwhelming to put it kindly. The copious amounts of bread was the only appealing aspect. Very disappointed."

"I have been to quite a few afternoon teas. This one I would describe as the worst for the price. The minimum price is GBP 90 as there is « discretionary » service charge to the stated list price, though it is now normal for UK establishments. The quality of food was good, but the sweet treats were melting when they were brought. China is well worn out. The main problem is the service, which was non-existent compared to similar establishments. Just to name the few: We were not asked if we want aperitifs aperitifs were not brought together for everyone and we had to wait for 20 min for the last one to arrive The refill hot water was plated all over the table and it was miracle that no one was burnt The waiter told us to pack our own doggy bag, thankfully he provided the box Such a disappointment, I better go to cheaper Rytz next time"

"the first time in this restaurant after my friend had recommended it, and I was not disappointed. the atmosphere is so beautiful, played music and the staff was very friendly. the food can wait for a short and visually eating was stunning I ordered a chicken burger with salat on the side and chips, and my friend ordered the same but with a lambburger. we both enjoyed eating, it was very delicious. the staff took care of us very well, gave us an extra homemade dive, which was astonishing as a whole, a very good experience would definitely come back"

"Quite an elegant and fun place layout with, a good array of wine flights and a more than decent wine by the glass option. As soon as I walked in with no reservation Anabel made me feel at home with her particular English accent and that sparkle she has. I had a superb cheeseboard with the selection of your choice and the top-rated flight which was marvellous. She went above and beyond to make the best of my experience, was very knowledgeable and professional, definitely an asset to the company. If you are looking for a place to enjoy wine and appetisers, It's not a place to be missed, I'd highly recommend it."

"I booked this for a reunion and despite receiving confirmation of the booking the hotel called and asked for a credit card to secure the booking I find this unreasonable as it doesn't state this anywhere, also it was completely unnecessary as there were only two other people in the restaurant when we arrived so they are clearly not overbooked! On arrival they joined together tables for us and we were told that there was no high chair. We ordered food and drink with neither arriving for 10 mins or so, when it did arrive it was just the water minus a glass. I ordered freshly squeezed orange juice which tasted as if it was mixed with concentrate, it certainly wasn't like any freshly squeezed orange juice I have had before and I have had a lot! The orange juice and tea took another 5 mins to arrive. The food took an absolute age and despite us all eagerly chatting we all noticed the length delay. When the food arrived it was lukewarm and very mediocre. I ordered poached eggs and brown toast and I received 2 eggs and a slice of barely cooked white bread on a plate equivalent to a tea plate in size whereas the other food was on normal sized dinner plates. I was then brought some barely toasted brown bread that looked as though it was from a basic/savers range. The Eggs Benedict looked good but was also cold and rather tasteless. The light version of eggs royale was only ok. The french toast with fruit was brilliant however, it was a generous portion, the right temperature and tasted lovely. Our party was very relaxed but none of us were impressed by the service and most of us were unimpressed with the food. We also thought it was strange that there was an almost wall sized TV showing sport..."
