"We were a party of 14 and my goodness did Donna/Don and the team go out their way to make my mums bday a special night. They decorated our table area with banners/ special glasses etc and made my mum feel very special! Attention to detail spot on. The service throughout was top class, very friendly, down to earth, patient and its a breath of fresh air when the owners take time to greet and talk to their guest so thank you! The waitress was amazing too, it was her first day and she dealt with such a large group amazingly well and was very funny! The food was absolutely 10/10. Very hard to find such amazing authentic Caribbean food, in west london, unless its homemade, so this was a real treat. Thanks so much to the whole team. We will be recommending to everyone and certainly be back again!"

"We visited this restaurant for the first time on 15/09/20 for a birthday celebration and I was thoroughly impressed. The background music, customized drinks, and exceptional customer service exceeded my expectations. I wish all restaurants would treat their customers the same way. The pricing was great and the food was delicious - we couldn't stop complimenting each dish as we ate. "Now, I flew, I was so surprised to see this wonderful brightly colored Caribbean restaurant, while in the midst of panic and unarray caused by hits, and so concerned as it had influenced my travel plans and how unhappy I felt. Anyway, I ran into this bright and clean restaurant and put my order of chicken soup with hot flavors. and to my panic I thought of my trainer and that I should not miss better, and if so I am doomed to stay in the unknown of plymouth. I had paid and said to the friendly staff I will simply take off to have a supper look to see if my trainer came and yes my trainer was there, I ran back to say I must go and the beautiful cook that at this point my suppe from ground on cooking, I apologize with so sad that I said I will keep it running and for it not to worry about the money I just wanted to say, I recommend this restaurant as the personal, and it's really wonderful and what a pleasure they really made my trip to pz that much happier I could weep. "If you don't know, then you NEED to know! Hands down one of the best Jamaican restaurants in Bristol. Large portion sizes and every bite is packed full of flavour! I had the Jerk chicken, oxtail and peppered steak it was out of this WORLD! All the dishes are served in front of you and it just makes you want to have them all! I can't believe I've only just found out about this place after all these years of trying out most of Bristol's caribbean restaurants! I will be back for sure! The service was great too!! "Went to island takeaway for my first time, there isn’t a lot of Caribbean shops in Brighton so I had high hopes. The store gave off authentic Jamaican vibes, however that was the only thing authentic about this shop. I originally tried to order a oxtail and was told they didn’t have any (no real surprise tbh). Then I asked what do you have and was told “you tell me what you want and I’ll let you know” which was just not helpful as they didn’t have what I wanted. The only ended up having 5/9 mains available. I got the large curry goat and rice peas for £15 which isn’t a horrendous price if the large was actually large but it wasn’t. When I tried to foot the rice was over cooked with the peas being cooked to the point they were dry and the rice was very hard. The curry goat was pink which definitely threw me off. Plus the meat was cleaned properly as there was a lot of gore and guts in the bones which completely ruined it. However, the flavour of the food was good but I would certainly of skipped out on this meal if I had the choice."

"Called in yesterday with the Mrs to get a nice selection of Jamaican food for my Jamaican grandkids. Had Jerk, Oxtail, Goat and Akee and Saltfish along with some sides. This food is so good I would happily just eat a bowl of rice and peas, I don’t know what they do to make it so nice. The Guinness punch, wow, I will get 10 portions next time. I have only tried 4 other Jamaican cafes in Bristol, but I have found my piece of heaven, I don’t need to check any more out. The Oxtail and Goat were so tender and tasty, best I have ever had and I am 68. The staff are lovely and passionate about their food. Next time I will order my food the day before. I did order £200 of food and I must apologise to their regulars who were disappointed as there was very little left for them. Why this place is not yet in the top 100 in Bristol, I don’t know, but I am certain it will be very soon. Please don’t pass through Bristol without giving this place a try, it will definitely be in your top 10,"
