"This is still by far the best curry house in the area. The chefs really know how to cook their chicken, lamb and prawns and the spices used are delicious. I am a regular visitor to this restaurant and the standard of the dishes served has yet to disappoint me. While many of the main meals are quite different from those on offer from other restaurants, the more conventional dishes are still available on the old traditional menu."

"The food is great but giving it one star for the service, the waiter serving us made us feel really uncomfortable and unwelcome. Not too sure if he had a bad day at home but if I am paying a premier price for the food in an otherwise grim looming restaurant I expect basic courtesy from the staff, good food is not enough. We were told our table was booked after 9PM and will need to leave by 845PM. While ordering desert at 8PM he started looking at his watch. On asking the portion sizes for ordering the right amount the answer was a plain and rude “I can’t tell you that”. It was a very odd experience and I am certainly not stepping foot in that restaurant again. All in all, my experience was bad due to one bad egg, if you are reading this I would say the food was really good and I had been there before, but that certainly was my last trip."

"with immense pleasure I write this review about chaiwala. they live totally on the names of the restaurants. it is really far from our place like 2.6 miles, but we always go to the place as it is a pre eating excersia for us. it is a small place not too big, but only enough to give them the taste of their day! what should they try here if they eat non veg then they must try all the dag breakfast it is the best in the world and they can it in breakfast / midday / evening it is not too heavy or light. my classic is 'karachi bun kebab ' it is super tasty, they can 't resist. we came to tea, we tried almost everywhere to slough, but we just couldn't get the feeling of Indian tee until we tried here. that's just the heaven. we have seen how people also go for halwa puri, we are still trying not to mention that the staff is so helpful and recommend them really good eating after their taste. so long history short. visit here when they come by and enjoy the food and tee."

"I had passed Tuk Tuk quite a few times on foot and by bus and it always intrigued me. I am a sucker for good Indian food, and none of that oily take away nonsense. When we arrived we weren't really sure how it worked, could we just sit down, or do we wait to be seated and we stood there's a while waiting with no one really paying attention to us. Eventually someone came over and said that we could sit any where we would like and seemed annoyed that we didn't know where to go. Besides that, the service was good. "Very tasty butter chicken and excellent samosas!! Had ordered a takeaway on deliveroo. Butter chicken is definitely one of the best in London. First bite transfers you straight down the memory lane to any top North Indian restaurant or famous dhabas. Sauce gravy was excellent but the chicken not very fresh. The kheema naan okish. No wow factor. But very palatable. Garlic naan was a bit chewy, but then again was in takeaway so will try another time fresh at the restaurant. Dal makhani was a bit of disappointment. Was strangely sour. And not buttery and creamy as it should be. The steamed rice was very dry and a bit under cooked. May be given the benefit of doubt that was in a takeaway container. Now coming to the samosa. Hands down one of the best you can get anywhere. Even better than some famous places in India. Excellent taste, fresh good seasoning nice authentic texture of the dough. And to top it all very good tamarind chutney. Highly recommend for good hearty Indian flavours. Their menu selection is excellent as goes with the drinks too! Would definitely recommend to friends and family! And will be coming soon to dine in!!"

"The drinks menu offered plenty of options, including decent wines and a selection of beers and cocktails. The service was friendly, attentive, and efficient, even with the restaurant fully booked on a Friday night—kudos to the staff. We even spoke with one of the team members who explained their concept of lighter curries, designed to energize rather than make you feel stuffed. They really hit the mark with that philosophy. The atmosphere was vibrant, filled with a diverse and relaxed crowd all enjoying their meals and conversations. "This restaurant has a strong sense of community and they are introducing a new vegan menu, which the man at the counter showed me over the phone. The food is flavorful and delicious, different from other Indian cuisine I have tried. We ordered Chana samosa (large portion for those who are hungry), papdi chat, vada pav, and samosa misal, and shared everything between the two of us. The total came to around £15 and we were satisfied with the portion size. I highly recommend this place. Please note that seating is limited, but we did not have any issues finding a seat and they also offer takeout."

"My wife and I went here for our anniversary meal on Saturday. We ordered a la carte. The service from start till finish was amazing. The tandoori chicken is absolutely yummy ! We loved our mains the only disappointment was that one of our mains came really late however they realised this themselves and didn't charge us for it and gave us free hot drink and dessert. We will definitely visit again. Book in advance to avoid disappointment."

"Food was excellent and well priced. I had no complaints at all and was discussing returning for more soon. That was until it came to paying. Our bill was cheap, 31.50 for two of us and we were nice and full. I asked to pay by card and asked to put the payment up to 35 to give a tip. The waiter looked at me and said, “Haven’t you just got cash for the tip?” I replied that I rarely carry cash and would like to just add the amount onto the card payment. I then entered the 3.50 into the gratuity section and proceeded to pay. I went to hand the device back and it was snatched from my hand to where I almost accidently pulled my card out of it. I was then told “I don’t get those tips, I can only keep tips in cash”. All of this was done in an incredibly rude manner. I paid a tip after all, and I now wish I hadn’t. I won’t be going back if that is the attitude you have towards well meaning customers. It’s a shame because we really enjoyed the food and the experience right up until the very last interaction. Have words."

"I recently visited this restaurant for the first time in a long time and it appears that there have been changes in management/staff. The service was terrible. The chef, an old and miserable man, didn't speak to us and looked at us with disdain. He took our order without saying a word and brought the food out without giving us plates. When I asked for plates, he pointed to small saucers on the table. When I asked for dinner plates, he walked off in a huff and came back with only one plate. Another customer came in and the old man rudely interrupted the young guy who seemed nice and chill. The food was mediocre with too much oil, salt, and undercooked meat. The place was dirty, with dirty cutlery and broken and dirty tables. This place should be closed down. I will not be returning. I rarely write negative reviews, but this place was unacceptable. I give it a 0/10."
