"The person who worked behind the counter was friendly and patient when I decided to order a smoothie. I had many questions and he was very helpful. The green smoothie (hate parsley, mint, spinach, kale, oats and more) was well balanced and surprisingly good. My husband got the smoothie with spinach, mango, banana and more was also really good. I had a vegan croissant and it was the best croissant I ever had. The outside was perfectly crisp without being superfluous. The interior was fluffy and a delicate to eat.My husband got a falafel sandwich (hair cheese on it) and he said it was the best meal he had on our London vacation. We went to the situation in Stratford and go back when we're ever in London."

In particular philippa (pip), Rebecca and Beth all smiled and were courteous in dealing with some particularly difficult customers. Hats off to them. "Funky set up in a not so funky area. I really enjoyed the lay out. The decor, furniture, bathrooms etc all express a genuine personality befitting the name. There's enough nooks and crannies within the premises to accommodate couples and larger groups alike, without any annoying crossover. "I was booked in by hotel reception (hotel reviewed separately). I arrived for my table in the restaurant at and surprised it wasn't busier on a Friday evening. I was seated by a new lad in training he was very young. Smiling and very...pleasant. I started with a mini bottle of prosecco. I had the squid and prawn starter, there was another fish, can't remember what it's called but you can see it in the picture, I'd never tried it before but it was fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Mains was lamb cutlets with mustard mash and kale. Again delicious. Dessert black forest slice. Mmm. I wish I had taken a picture of it all. It was thoroughly enjoyed. The service was attentive and fast by all the staff. A great restaurant if you're in the area."

"We booked a table for 6pm and the restaurant was almost empty. The service was great and the food was amazing. Most of my party had the fillet steak and it was cooked to perfection. My pork tasted wonderful but was a little dry which I remedied by adding some mayonnaise. The owner had offered to get some sauce but the mayonnaise did the job. We noticed that the restaurant started filling up at about 7pm and, by the time we had finished our meal, the atmosphere was great we should have booked a little later. The owner gave us each a free cocktail to round off our experience. We were very happy with our choices of mojito and espresso martinis. Thank you to all at The Olive Tree for a lovely experience. We will return!"
