"Unfortunately the Sunday menu has shrunk yet again only choice of beef or pork now if wanting a roast lunch, Food arrived in a timely manner but lukewarm. Terrible issue with flies not enjoyable having to keep swatting them away from Food and drinks. Service charge added to bill ...why , it should be customers choice to tip, not to be made to feel uncomfortable if you don't Want to. Tipping used to be because it was poorly paid, minimum wage changed that, I did ask if the servers got the tip and they do and the server said they work hard so deserve it, ummm they are being paid to work hard. Seems to have had a big change of staff, unfortunately put of going again."

"We are non residents of the hotel and have visited this restaurant a few times and have never been disappointed. The food is the main feature here and service/staff are professional. The wine list is quite small but adequate, and the view as the sun sets across Windermere from the terrace can be stunning. The only issue I had on my last visit were the hotel guests in the restaurant. Now i realise that they have to eat in the hotel either as part of their package or if they simply choose to, BUT please have some general dress code in place. As we believe at £40 per head plus drinks the restaurant owes it to itself, the chef, and team to put this in place. I'm not talking dinner suits here, but after making an effort as a family, sat next to couples with sweaty dirty vest tops, trunks and flip flops is not keeping with the brand. They should either eat on the terrace or in the bar area or take room service. You simply cannot promote this restaurant at the price point without a smart /casual dress code that some of the Lakes Pubs/B Bs have! I've got to say that as much as I like the food of Lukasz Zebryk its what is happening out front that is killing his brand. Its a shame that I may be re-visting some of your competition on our next important anniversary/occasion, but please look into the comments above as you deserve to be up there with the best."

"Well where do I start with the tavern team....I've worked in Customer Relation for 20yrs plus and I've part run my own business so I know service and have witnessed so service that has made me cringe. The team at the tavern made me so welcome it's become my go to place to relax and reflect on some tough days for me personally. The manager hires individuals and allows them to shine and be themselves. Nothing was too much trouble, Harry helped me with some tech issues I had, all were chatty and helpful. I met some truly lovely youngsters who helped me relate to why my 13yrs old was being such a teenager at the moment. Times have been so tough for this industry, they have lost alot of money snd trade because of this virus. So now the virus is going to be the normal let's get out if we can and support our local. Food was good, hospitality 5 stars, range of drinks interesting.....and they laughed at my jokes mostly about Karen's cause I'm a Karen apparently (sorry to all the Karen's I think you rock keep complaining but only if its genuine. Just need Rag and Bone man to play there then it would be 50 stars.....Harry and the stereo King's are playing on the 2nd April so that should be a top night."

"We recently dined at the Rudgleigh Inn Steakhouse for the first time, and we were extremely impressed. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, with a great selection on the menu. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in search of high-quality food and drinks in a cozy setting, rather than a typical pub that also offers food. We will definitely be returning."

"My wife and I live in the village and absolutely love this restaurant. We cannot praise Katy and all of the staff enough. We went to the Thursday Steak Night last night and it was truly the best. The steaks were cooked perfectly to our liking and the meal even included a lovely bottle of wine at a very reasonable price. We have dined here three times in the last couple of weeks and have never been disappointed. The chefs are fantastic, please thank them for us. The staff are all so pleasant and welcoming, creating a wonderful homely atmosphere. We feel fortunate to have a place like this in our village. "My mum and I visited today, we went by most of the cafes on the off chance one of them did a vegan cream tea. This is where we found one! The cafe itself is beautiful, retro but tasteful and the garden is magical and abundant with flowers. The cream tea was delicious, everything was handmade by the chef and the cream was far more delicious than I remember clotted dairy cream to be. The woman who served us was super chatted and helpful (I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name Thanks for having us! Xx"
