"We visited the Heathfield Tavern on spec to try it for lunch and what a very good idea it was! We were greeted by cheerful and friendly staff whose waiting skills were first class, chef was available to chat through a hatch into the kitchen and the tables were well spaced. The food was absolutely delicious, the best fish and chips I’ve ever had and my husband gave his sea bass 10/10. On top of that the prices compared very favourably with other lesser establishments in the area. This lovely pub restaurant is going to become a favourite destination."

Excellent friendly welcome, food is superb. We had the mixed meat Sunday roast, fantastic value. The ambiance is delightful, great staff and open kitchen, which was a hive of activity; it’s busy on s Sunday so recommend booking. Will definitely return

After a long absence because of untrained staff and no obvious management, we decided to have dinner here last night 13th Jan 2023. So glad we did! What a wonderful improvement. Smiley welcome by staff and a new chef. Food and service very good. Will return. View menu

The Heathfield Tavern is a truly outstanding restaurant. It is blessed with a superb chef and this is reflected in the standard of food which was uniformly excellent. The fillet of sea bass was exceptional as were the vegetables. The staff are efficient and cheerful. All in all a memorable restaurant for all the right reasons.

Errr bit of a joke of a place when it comes down to it. Ordered a burger and asked for no mayo not only did burger turn up with mayo all over it, then was a good 40 mins with no replacement before I said that actually they had ruined the moment and meal with friends who had all eaten by this piping, they did nt charge me for the burger but I wanted a meal with friends and I did t get one. We had a great time at the Tavern celebrating a 60th birthday. All of our family and friends enjoyed the tasty food and great service. Dan and the team were a great help in planning the lunch considering that there were so many of us. The food was also served very promptly and the team very friendly to all of our guests. We would certainly recommend the Tavern for a celebratory meal for a number of people.

We are locals, but haven’t tried the Sunday Lunch before. Really enjoyed it! Generous portions of veg too, which we love. Had a brownie and a cheesecake for pudding, both excellent. Finished off with a decaf flat white. Decaf in particular is pretty variable in different establishments. This one was delicious. The Heathfield Tavern has become a really good local pub with friendly service, delicious food and lots of events from live music to making a painting
