"Well where do I start with the tavern team....I've worked in Customer Relation for 20yrs plus and I've part run my own business so I know service and have witnessed so service that has made me cringe. The team at the tavern made me so welcome it's become my go to place to relax and reflect on some tough days for me personally. The manager hires individuals and allows them to shine and be themselves. Nothing was too much trouble, Harry helped me with some tech issues I had, all were chatty and helpful. I met some truly lovely youngsters who helped me relate to why my 13yrs old was being such a teenager at the moment. Times have been so tough for this industry, they have lost alot of money snd trade because of this virus. So now the virus is going to be the normal let's get out if we can and support our local. Food was good, hospitality 5 stars, range of drinks interesting.....and they laughed at my jokes mostly about Karen's cause I'm a Karen apparently (sorry to all the Karen's I think you rock keep complaining but only if its genuine. Just need Rag and Bone man to play there then it would be 50 stars.....Harry and the stereo King's are playing on the 2nd April so that should be a top night."

really nice pub and beautiful eating. highly recommended. great service. I ignore the evaluation 4 months ago, where someone with terrible grammatic and spelling gave 1 of 5. (I never trust people who cannot write properly). I'll be reaping. we sat outside in a beautiful terrace. it was great. View menu

We are locals, but haven’t tried the Sunday Lunch before. Really enjoyed it! Generous portions of veg too, which we love. Had a brownie and a cheesecake for pudding, both excellent. Finished off with a decaf flat white. Decaf in particular is pretty variable in different establishments. This one was delicious. The Heathfield Tavern has become a really good local pub with friendly service, delicious food and lots of events from live music to making a painting

We visited the Heathfield Tavern on spec to try it for lunch and what a very good idea it was! We were greeted by cheerful and friendly staff whose waiting skills were first class, chef was available to chat through a hatch into the kitchen and the tables were well spaced. The food was absolutely delicious, the best fish and chips I’ve ever had and my husband gave his sea bass 10/10. On top of that the prices compared very favourably with other lesser establishments in the area. This lovely pub restaurant is going to become a favourite destination.
