"I recently visited Sander's Yard bistro for the second time and it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant is located in a charming courtyard, the staff were attentive, the atmosphere was great, and the food was delicious. I ordered the vegan platter and was impressed with the fresh ingredients and attention to detail in preparation. There were plenty of vegetarian options available, including approximately five vegan choices. Sander's Yard bistro is now my top choice for dining in Whitby."

Had the kale salad as was having a detox day, it was amazing and one of the best salads I’ve ever had, with loads of grilled chicken. "I made a reservation two months in advance, but when we arrived on time, they told us they couldn’t find our booking. Instead, they allowed a party of six without a reservation to enter. Even after I showed them my confirmation email, they informed us there was no space available. Just when we were about to leave, they somehow managed to find some emergency chairs and seated us right in the middle of the restaurant, despite many empty booths and tables scattered around that remained unoccupied throughout the entire hour we were there. Overall, it was a terrible experience from start to finish. I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone."

"Have eaten here befiore and it has been much better. Food was OK but one of the dishes was very bland. We had booked in advance at 8pm. It was a busy Saturday night and the service was somewhat strange all night starting with the waiter bringing a single starter. We asked if the others were coming and he rather abruptly said yes. The others then followed a bit strange but ok. The worst was when at 9:10 we were asked if we would leave the table. We still had half of our drinks left and had only just finished eating, 70 minutes after the booking time hardly an age? I feel they were being gready and putting profit before serving the customers already in the restaurant. Maybe the new restaurant was a step too far and they are struggling for staff but I really felt there had to be a manager there with the correct attitude. They all seemed a bit undertrained and all over the place to be honest which is not great as it is not cheap. Won't be going back for a while at least."

"We reserved two tables for our upcoming visit, which allowed us to choose our preferred seating area in the restaurant. The menu selection was excellent, and the food was delicious. The service was very attentive and good. We visited on a Sunday and opted for the lunch package. My only minor critique is that the Yorkshire puddings were excessively large, overshadowing the rest of the meal. Unfortunately, they were unappealing and went to waste, as no one at our table could finish one. Despite this, it’s an amazing restaurant, and we’re thrilled that it's within walking distance for us."

Relax down and with a drink. to go to a bar and not speak through a plastic screen. the personal was so inviting even after so much time! I really felt humble, these people here really invest in their customers. munchables were the usual what they see is what they get and very satiating standard, delivered fast and hot. I am so glad to be back and hope to visit the king again as regularly as we have done before."

"I'm a bit obsessed with the hot wings there. beautiful place to visit during the week, put points in plus as I can work from laptop while I have a coffee. nice for an evening dinner on the earth with family, good children menu. livelier at the weekend, but they have a dj on and 2-4-1 on cocktails that is a plus. beer garden is beautiful when it is warm, but there are protected areas when it rains. not my thing, but the other half appreciates the big screens to watch the football. the employees work hard and are always helpful, never had a problem."

"I've been to Dylans in Menai Bridge and always enjoyed it not this time. For the first half of our visit there was a stinging blue haze hanging in the air; the kitchen extractors clearly weren't functioning properly. Fortunately this cleared for the second hour we were there. Now to the service; after taking our drinks orders we waited nearly 15 minutes for them. Later, after staff had passed our empty glasses 20 times, we managed to order some second drinks by catching their attention. The food was the main problem; minuscule starters of crab and Welsh rarebit. My pizza came as a real surprise (as others have mentioned in previous reviews); gone is the thin crusted, well filled pizza of the past. The pizza is now about 20% smaller and my daughter mentioned that it looked like a child's portion. However, the main problem was the total lack of filling; there was a huge gap for at least an inch all round the pizza which was just fluffy dough. There were five tiny mussels on it and when I picked the mussel shells up they were so overcooked the shells turned to carbonised dust. I counted three tiny slices of red chilli. As others have mentioned, I realise the industry is having a hard time the price of the pizzas haven't gone up but the quantity and quality has plummeted and I would rather pay more to enjoy my meal. The pudding order came and was wrong. When the hot cross bun pudding came out it was still only on the wrong side of lukewarm. Don't get me started on the price of a pint of Aspalls £7.25, a price I would expect to pay in London. And before Lisa R replies that they would have replaced a dish, it would have been replaced with a similar disappointing dish....and no one bothered to ask us if everything was OK either during or after the meal anyway."

"Walking passed this evening, there where 9 of us walking passed to get out Taxi . There was a homeless person sitting trying to keep warm in this dreadful weather. The door opened from this pub, and a man threw water all over the homeless man, he was soaking. How mean and dreadful, terrible. We shall be reporting this to the police in the morning.
