"Ashdown Park Hotek and Country Club, Wych Cross, East Sussex. We arrived to a very welcoming burning log fire, staff were very couteous, we were taken to our table and ordered from the table d hote menu. We were given an a pre starter courtesy of the chef. Our starter Hallumi cheese wrapped in herbs and sesame seeds was absolutely delicious. My main of seabass on a bed of spinach was lovely, my husband had venison which he said melted in his mouth and the creme brulee was just amazing"

We had a great lunch in a very special location with excellent food and wine, as well as cocktails to start. Very much recommended!

Anderida at Ashdown Park Hotel lovely large dining room, nice staff good food. portions are quite small but they make up for that with plenty of amuse bouche inbetween courses.

Anderida, Wych Cross The Ashdown Park Hotel is a great venue and the service was very good; however each course was small and the lamb I had was very chewy. Petit fours were very petit. Otherwise food was good. This was advertised as £16.50 for three courses when it was only two I've had better value in Sussex for a Monday lunch View menu

Ashdown Park is a lovely hotel, in a picturesque country setting at Wych Cross. As part of a brief stay, we tried the table d'hote menu in its Anderida restaurant. An amuse bouche of gazpacho was welcome on a warm evening and was then followed by three interesting well cooked courses of varying influences, mainly French Thai. All fine reasonable value. Excellent service a good wine list.

If you hanker for the 1990’s worth a visit.. Desperately in need of an update, carpet in the loos? Need I say more.. staff are very pleasant and helpful however kitchen closes at 2pm for lunch so despite the fact that I had warned staff that my friends were lost and were going to arrive late we got to the restaurant to be told we could only have a snack in the bar. Won’t be visiting again.

Ashdown Park Hotel and Country Club, Wych Cross, East Sussex. A lovely country mansion with a relaxed atmosphere and attentive staff. We had starters of Homemade Tomato Soup and a Salad of Asparagus and Artichoke. For our mains we had salmon in a pastry shell on a bed of spinach, peppers in a marinade and beetroot. Both meals were very nicely presented, tasted lovely and well worth the £16.95 for two courses. We took our coffee in the lounge room along side a roaring log fire View menu

Anderida restaurant, based in Ashdown Park Hotel and Country Club is excellent. Candlelit dining room looking out towards Ashdown Forest, busy but civilised atmosphere with a pianist in the background, service was impeccable and the food was delicious. We were staying at the hotel so ate from the inclusive menu but had one of the best meals in a long time. Following a coffee in the lounge, a short walk back to our room, whilst deer wandered around the grounds. Perfect evening.

Very enjoyable meal with old friends. The food was very good and well presented and all four of us very much enjoyed our menu choices. The amuse bouche was especially tasty and a great start to the meal. The waiting staff were young and obviously stil learning, but that's not a criticism in any way. All of the staff were welcoming, pleasant and competent. Ashdown Park is a lovely setting and the Anderida is a very good restaurant for the more up-market or traditional occasions.
