"Arrived on Sunday having booked for Sunday lunch, only to be told that they had run out of Sunday dinners. Booking was for 3.30, so very surprised that they had run out. Waiter explained that they had a high number of walk ins not a valid excuse as if people have booked for Sunday lunch it’s no fair to tell them when they arrive that there are none left. We would have preferred a call to advise that they had run out. Instead was offered the Al La Carte menu, which was okay, but massively overpriced 20 pound for a pork belly, and 8 potatoes. Had to get a kebab on the way home as we were still hungry. Hadn’t been to AYLI in a few years I used to work there whilst I was in Uni 7/ 8years ago, so would always come with my parents, and was looking forward to returning after such a long time away. Will not be returning in a hurry though as the place has clearly gone downhill."
