"Went for Sunday lunch with my husband and 3 course meal was outstanding. The star of the show was the main course, plenty on your plate , the veg , mash Yorkshire’s were outstanding. I had beef which was cooked beautifully and my husband had chicken. The lemon tart was beautiful, very lemony and you could tell it was home made and not pre shop bought. I believe the main chef was on Annual leave and the sous chef was in charge today. What a fabulous meal, really thoroughly enjoyed it. The bar was great too , we got 2 **** Mary’s and it was the best one I’ve ever tasted. The Tabasco was perfect. Great decor and lovely staff in all areas."

Lovely meal but the seat we were given was a little too close for comfort to other diners you could clearly hear each other’s conversations and really felt on top of each other). Service was fantastic though so overall I would go back. View menu

We had lunch at this restaurant. The food I ordered was good, although I found myself limited in choices due to the abundance of cheese options. That may be fine for those who enjoy cheese. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly.

It’s the first time we have eaten at this restaurant and we had Sunday lunch. We opted for the chicken which was very moist, really tasty and accompanied by a very impressive Yorkshire pudding. Service was very good, the atmosphere was really good and the wine choice impressive. Would definitely recommend

This was our third visit to the Crowne Plaza in the afternoon, and each time the service was awful. Could it be due to a lack of staff or poorly trained employees? The selection of food on this occasion was very poor and lacked quality. There was no atmosphere, only freezing cold air conditioning. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. View menu

The service at this restaurant was dreadful. We waited ages for our food, and our drinks didn't come until after we had finished our starters. The staff seemed idle even though it was evident that customers were waiting. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. This was my third visit, and it will definitely be my last. I was hoping for better service at Crowne Plaza.

Beautiful food , terrible staff. Front of house staff terrible, sat us at a table then nothing . I had to ask for drinks, witch didn’t come. Asked another girl for drinks, then starters arrived, still no drink! They young man who delivered the staters went and got us drinks. A Long wait for the main, one of the girls did nothing but order the other girl around, argued in front of us. They need to review there staff. The food was beautiful, shame about the staff.

"The place seems unprofessionally run. The staff all look like they could do with a bath. No overalls are worn and their clothes are all of the type that many would wear to lounge around the house in . Several have longer hair and beards but don’t wear any kitchen p.p.e. The decor is shabby and I wondered what kind of hygiene rating they would have. Although not busy, the staff seemed to be disorganised, falling over eachother and lacking in training. They seemed to handle the food in an inexperienced, clumsy fashion. The only tool I saw being used was a pizza peel for taking the pizza in and out of the oven. On all other occasions the food was handled. I didn’t notice any hand washing or alcohol gel in evidence. The menu is quite limited and uninspiring. 2 of the 6 pizza choices include chicken which Italians would argue is definite no no! All pizzas are reheated to order which eliminates the possibility of customisation. I don’t believe the restaurant would stand out in many European countries, as pizza in general is of a much higher standard than that in the UK. In spite of the above, The basic pizza is excellent in taste (even though it is all re-heated). And for this reason it is worth a visit. Compared to other uk pizza restaurants which are typically serving absolute garbage, the food is way out in front. If you can tolerate the negatives I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with the pizza. However with a bit of effort, this place could be transformed into something truly amazing."
