"A truly painful experience. Waited over an hour for food with people who came in after us being served before us as our waitress obviously forgot to put the order through. Got sat next to the door on a chilly day whilst large groups of teenagers were in and out constantly vaping/smoking leaving the door open. Had to get up to close it all the time; luckily a family was sat next to us who tagged in with the door closing. It seemed tables just drinking were prioritised over people ordering food. And when we finally got our food I found a bit of metal Brillo pad/scourer in the chips. A restaurant run by children for children to get drunk on cheap cocktails, definitely not somewhere to go for dinner."

"We have ordered in an easy and relaxed manner, no rush from the staff at all , Iliyan the manager and Saima our waiter were very helpful with my allergy , she is an amazing waiter making our stay very pleasant, answered my friend’s questions about the food ! The manager is an amazing person , ensuring we were well looked after . I have been asking him the name of the person who sitted us , he informed me that her name is Daday , the kindest person ever , although very busy she asked us how we are and had a chat until seated . "Sat in a booth requiring use of the QR code to order. Fine accept not the greatest app. Ordered a cranberry juice then changed our minds, removed it from the order but it still went through. Rather unfriendly waitress proceeded to lecture us on the fact that once order submitted its too late. Seeing as we had pressed submit literally a minute a before, we could cancel, so not a great start. Ordered the Mexican poppadoms and enchiladas. Expected the poppadoms to come first as “nibble while you wait” but they arrived at the same time as the enchiladas which was a little odd as they didn’t tell us this would happen up front. The food arrived very rapidly which is good but would have liked to take our time a bit. The enchiladas were delicious. Overall slightly soulless, not sure I’d go back."

"Food was really good but took an hour to get our order taken. Nice not to be rushed but that was ridiculous. Also, not particularly impressed with COViD precautions menus were not disposable and shared between tables with no wiping or sanitisation. Also, everyone was squished into one area of the restaurant with no regard for social distancing."

"we went to las iguanas on lakeside on Monday bank holiday 31. May 2021. Although it was very busy, we were able to book a table for an hour and half, so we hanged around the shopping center until our time was up. the staff was very friendly and welcoming. eating was very good and a good value for money. I didn't go to enjoy getting a free deal on the cocktails, but will go back definately as they looked very good. if at all, I would say that the muisc was quite loud, but that did not affect our experience and the whole family was quite happy."

"great staff, but eat a bit average. the curry chicken from partner was good, but my rippchen did not fall from the bone and on places was a bit hard. had it better. also there were two hot parties in one was calm, the other was not. Obviously, a restaurant for young people (which are not us) and I will give it in future a failure. portsmouth restaurant in this chain much better."

"First time at this particular Las Iguanas. I’m afraid the threadbare furniture weren’t a great start but we remained hopeful. The starters were ok but seemed a little small given the cost. We had quesadillas and calamares. Our main courses of chicken burrito, ximxim and bahia coconut chicken were all three poor and very bland. The burrito was very lacking in chicken and whilst the two other dishes were presented in a very attractive way that I’ve not seen before, they too tasted of nothing. £90 down the pan."

"We arrived at the restaurant at 7:30 and were seated at the bar with a drink. The service was slow as there was only one bartender making cocktails. The food was okay when we sat down to eat at 7:30. Unfortunately, the bar closed at 9 o'clock and we were not able to get another drink, which was disappointing and put a damper on our evening. Additionally, around 20 people were turned away as the restaurant was practically empty with only two tables remaining at 9 o'clock, even though they were only looking for drinks."

"We were not from Nottingham and we’re going to be late so we called ahead. When we arrived we were made to feel unwelcome and we’re told we had an hour and 10 minutes left. Because we had children we didn’t want to risk not being able to get seated elsewhere so we went in. It said online it was good for families I would 100% disagree with this, we went at 5pm so not too late. The music was so loud we couldn’t hear ourselves think. Normally I wouldn’t mind but I had my 6 month old with me and I felt uncomfortable the whole time keeping him in that level of noise. We had to feed the other two and we were hoping it would be quick since we were told we only had an hour. Yet our food took an hour and 5 minutes to arrive. The adults food was nice we can’t really complain about that but the children’s food was an absolute disgrace! We felt rushed and made to feel uncomfortable. It was an absolutely awful experience and one that I don’t think I’ll repeat at this restaurant in any location"

"friendly staff. that's it! I have never experienced how uncomfortable it was to be in a restaurant. I was disappointed about the way your personal clashes around and looked at the customer tables, how unpleasant the men were, spray over my drink and to which I observed when the personal all moved in the kitchen area laugh and chatting, making signs that lean over the food from a teller while waiting for the other, made me really feel angry, so I could not eat it. (It only gave us to eat there, so it seemed as if most were only drunk and it took age. it seemed no hygienic protocol or respect for the customers who only wanted to have a family dinner in peace."

"this restaurant was booked as it was soou near wembley stadion and the hotel was booked for 6pm and arrived 15 minutes before and was immediately shown on the table. I tried this restaurant when I wanted to try some South American food instead of the usual meal times. I choose the xinxim, this is chicken and cancer curry. it was wonderful, highly recommended."
