"We absolutely loved the waffles at this restaurant - my 12-year-old daughter is a waffle connoisseur and even she was impressed. The presentation was beautiful, the waffles were deliciously crispy, and the strawberries were bursting with flavor. The service was great, and we appreciated that they are plastic-free. We can't wait to come back for more, especially to try more of their creations named after Cambridge scientists. We definitely recommend this place to others and will be returning soon."

"this is one of our favorite places for brunch in london. the food is delicious and the service is impeccable. it's on the expensive side, and I'm not in the rule a ability to spend on eggs, but brew makes every penny worth it. the eggs are fresh, they can easily say through the color of the egg yolk. I also recommend their pizzas, and their maiscakes with tomato jam and avocado. I would like to point out, however, that their portion size has fallen after a month later. I was disappointed because, as I mentioned, it is also expensive for chiswick. also her smooth glass was significantly smaller during a later visit. it would be such a scandal if they further reduce their portion size, because so much I love their food that are ridiculous prices."

"Wow, what a little gem of a place! Visiting Cheltenham for the first time, after exploring the town, feeling a bit peckish, sort of stumbled into Vegetus. Not exactly on the high street, but a few minutes walk off the main drag. Cosy, and welcoming, quite busy on Saturday lunchtime, we hadn't pre booked, so we sat outside in the sunshine for a few minutes while our table was prepared. The vibe is decidedly middle eastern, with the jolliest of hosts. His infectious good humour permeates the place. Spotlessly clean and well organised, we ordered a tagine and a mousaka, with the Beirut cooler for a non alcoholic drink. Both generous servings were delivered after a few minutes, piping hot and delicious. For dessert we had warm baklava with ice cream and a totally yummy (egg free) chocolate cake. The desert was so good, we split it, boxed it and took a slice home for our daughter! I cannot recommend this place enough, we now have a good reason to go back to Cheltenham. Try it, you will love it."

"We visited this beautiful restaurant for lunch upon arriving in Edinburgh. The waiter was brilliant and polite, and the menu was very varied. My partner enjoyed the fresh and tasty salmon fish cakes, which I usually don't like but found delicious. I had the soup with a coronation chicken sandwich, which was very full and flavorful. The portion sizes were generous. The bar had a wide variety of drinks, and the attentive waiter provided excellent suggestions on pairings with our food."

"Absolutely shocking service from this establishment. Ordered through Uber eats order 2 sandwich and 2 lentil soups. Delivery came and all the soup was opened and spilled everywhere in the bag and socked the sandwiches. My first thoughts was delivery driver did not handle it properly and when I caught up with him and asked he said the lady did not mention to him. I then called he cafe up and explained all she said was call Uber eats and get refund. She did not even apologise for what has happened and instead of taking little responsibility or owning up to it lying and blaming drivers. I explained they have to get better packaging or holders for them so o does not happen for anyone else no response and I hanged up the phone. Shame I have no picture otherwise I would have posted that up."

They ignored the queue, chatted and laughed among themselves, and then looked at us as if we were inconveniencing them. It was by far the worst out of the 14 cafes in the town center. "AVOID SAGE AT ALL COSTS. I rarely write reviews but had to make an exception for this place, for the sake of sparing others the experience we had. Where do I begin? Arrived at the “restaurant” (if you can call it that and staff were nowhere to be seen. Restaurant has a somewhat ‘eery’ feel to it with such strange decor. Took around 20 minutes until manager finally brought out the menu. After ordering was told several items missing. Food took a long time to arrive and when it did was given to the WRONG TABLE (HELLO COVID?! . Manager took plates downstairs to kitchen for a few minutes before bringing them back out to our table? (Now might be a good time to mention that the customer toilets are literally in the kitchen weird? Food was poor. Advertised as Beyond Meat burger but they brought out the much cheaper Moving Mountains burger was still charged the same extortionate £13.95 for this. … the other half of our order never arrived. At this point we were feeling pretty upset with the service so requested the bill. Manager brought out a handwritten note with various prices on it (these did not match up with the advertised prices on both the menu and the Deliveroo app . Manager informed us at the end of our meal that the card machine is out of service and told me to drive several minutes to the nearest ATM. Manager then changed his mind and told us to pay via the Deliveroo app, with the knowledge that this adds an additional service charge. Manager proceeded to stand behind/lean over my partner and take her phone out of her hands. He was adamant that we didn’t know what we were doing and behaved in a very intimidating manner. I asked the manager if I could speak to him in private away from the customers. I explained that we were unhappy with the service we had received by referring to the several points mentioned above. Myself a vegan of 6 years, I expressed to him that I care a lot about the success of small businesses such as his and suggested that menu pricing could be more clear, the advertised products actually being served etc. He became very defensive and hostile, blaming my partner for several things that had happened and alternating between reasonings behind the price discrepancies. “If you didn’t like what I was doing and I made you feel unsafe, why don’t you speak up? You are a grown adult.” … those were his words to my partner. BE WARNED: many of the Google reviews and hygiene rating is from previous owners Eat Street, not Sage."

"So I'm on a mission to lose some weight and get healthy, my daughter was adamant she wanted to come here for dessert. We heard it was under new management, so we were a little apprehensive. However, I enjoyed it before, but I used always get a waffle. We walked in, and the new owner was there to greet us. He told me straight away there weren't any waffles available, and to have some would be a half-hour wait. The waffles were the reason we went. I almost walked out of there, but my daughter wanted the ice cream instead. So we were a group of My children made their order and enjoyed it; the youngest one went for that blue ice cream. She enjoyed it but wasn't a fan of bits that were in it. The other three enjoyed their desserts. I thought I'd get a sundae; call it a proper cheat day (I have a lot of them). I got the chocolate sundae, and for once in my life, it was perfect. Not too sweet I felt sick, but just right so I could enjoy it and finish it off. Great value for money, and the customer service was flawless. I told my daughters to go make their orders, but the older were being shy, so when I was sitting on the table asking one of them what they wanted, I repeated it loud enough the owner got the gist of what I was doing, and was in the ball. Really nice desserts, couldn't recommend it enough. Will be back maybe even tomorrow for a waffle. Just gotta watch those calories. Lol."

"I recently had the pleasure of trying the gelato at Marine Ices and it is hands down the best gelato in the city! My parents used to frequent this place back in the 70s, and I am thrilled to see that it is still around. The staff are friendly and welcoming, making every visit a delightful experience. While there may be other places with a larger selection, none can match the quality of Marine Ices. The variety of sorbets is also worth mentioning. I was able to create my dream combo of melon and rum raisin flavors. The atmosphere is charming, with free Wi-Fi and reasonable prices. The music playing in the background added to the pleasant vibe. I give Marine Ices a full five stars and highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious gelato in the city."
