"I ordered the prawn cocktail, which was absolutely terrible. The prawns looked strange and did not taste like a classic prawn cocktail. The other two starters did not come out until 10 minutes after the prawn cocktail.
Our main meals were then served, but my beef was cold and had to be sent back to be reheated, possibly in a microwave. The parsnips and carrots were undercooked and hard, and the gravy was thin and flavorless. For the price of £20 for a roast, I expected a much better tasting meal.
We also ordered the lamb filet kebab for £22, which was also disappointing. The lamb was chewy and the chips were dried out potato wedges. The homemade mint sauce tasted like it had come from a jar. This restaurant does not serve the homecooked food it promotes on its website.
I had originally booked for Christmas Day dinner but have since cancelled. I will definitely not be returning to this restaurant."
