"I ordered the prawn cocktail, which was absolutely terrible. The prawns looked strange and did not taste like a classic prawn cocktail. The other two starters did not come out until 10 minutes after the prawn cocktail. Our main meals were then served, but my beef was cold and had to be sent back to be reheated, possibly in a microwave. The parsnips and carrots were undercooked and hard, and the gravy was thin and flavorless. For the price of £20 for a roast, I expected a much better tasting meal. We also ordered the lamb filet kebab for £22, which was also disappointing. The lamb was chewy and the chips were dried out potato wedges. The homemade mint sauce tasted like it had come from a jar. This restaurant does not serve the homecooked food it promotes on its website. I had originally booked for Christmas Day dinner but have since cancelled. I will definitely not be returning to this restaurant."

Great menu, lots of options. We went on Greek night and the food was amazing. Service was quick and the staff friendly.

Another day, another pub lunch in CambridgeAfter our eating binge though we opted for lighter English (is that a word) fare at The Old Spring.

Since ownership changed hands some months ago unfortunately the prices have gone up and the food has gone down. Service staff remain great but chef seems to have his own ideas about what I should eat. Enough said !

Perhaps it was the numerous parking signs, or maybe it was the staff removing all the beer mats from the tables at 9 o'clock, or perhaps it was simply the overall attitude of the staff, but I couldn't help but feel like the pub didn't really care whether they had customers or not. View menu

We popped in with the dog for something to eat. Friendly reception, order taken and the food arrived outside much quicker than expected. We had two wraps at £11 each which were perfectly cooked, very tasty and filling, both came with chips and red cabbage coleslaw. Beers fine, The Old Spring probably tastier of the 3 we tried. 10% service on the bill.

We haven’t been here for years and stopped on the off chance and really enjoyed a meal and some drinks. Firstly they serve Peroni and Aspells, our favourite drinks Second even though it was 2:45 and they stop serving food at 2:30, they happily prepared us some food Third it was delicious We ordered the steak and chicken burger. The chicken burger was a huge piece of meat in a brioche bun and I loved it! Loads of chips too. They planning some Greek nights and I think they’re going to be great! The barman, possibly the landlord was very friendly and we watched him go out of his way to find a balloon to keep a tired baby happy while her parents ate their lunch. Would highly recommend a visit

"added dropwise for a pizza on the afternoon without reservation, and we were warmly welcomed and set immediately. the smell of reifer tomatensauce and gooey mozzarella in the stone oven under fire baked was an salutation to the sinnen. the restaurant was filled with a pleasant humor of talking and laughing, the sound of the teigs chopped in the kitchen, and the familiar sound of tellers and cutlery picked up and put down again - all with weak Italian music plays in the background. the ambiente was a tasteful hauch of seafoam blue on the wooden wall panels and equipped with sturdy furniture with red chili oils, salt and peppers and various types of fresh crimp on each table. a table can have salvia, another basilikum, the next coriander. a charming, subtler node to the l 'arte d 'arrangiarsi the art of making something from nothing of pizza. the menu was easy and easy to navigate, nothing to slandered level and nothing too adventurous. we ordered a pesto pizza and we asked for extra tomato sauce to which our server would be happy insured. after many times we came to our table customers and sleeps! the pesto had a tasteful taste and was pleasant tangy, the tomato sauce was juicy and not quite watery, and the mozzarella was evenly distributed and reached every end of the teigs. the best part, however, was the thick, soft resistance of the crust - not even the least incineration, but just at the right time pulled out of that. a 1 x 1 ' ft perfectly presented pizza. the, with two fizzy drinks, for less than 20 £. will return for the same, but with the intention to add a little red wine."
