"Most Lebanese and many Turkish restaurants tend to cook using soya bean oil which is helpful for my wife who is unable to tolerate rapeseed and palm oil. We called into the Cedar Tree on a midweek lunchtime when the restaurant was virtually empty and asked the proprietor what oil he cooked with. He was immediately rude and asked if we wanted lunch today or tomorrow. Then insisted that the restaurant used 'grapeseed ' which I find very surprising, and made it clear that diners with any food intolerance were not welcome. We made his life easy, though his business less profitable, by just walking out. What a horribly rude man. I had eaten here in the past with friends who did not have any dietary issues, but will never return to this restaurant. Does not even deserve a 1 star review, but this is the lowest score available."
